Willie Randolph will be Mets Manager
gantrules replied to millbank's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's what I heard too Thailog. I can't blame the guy for getting out. He's been there since 96. It's gotta wear on you after a while working for George. -
hmmmm sounds interesting Fez...maybe I will check it out.

Thanks for the reminder.

yeah, it's SUPPOSE to be up and running again in 2005. I'll believe it when I see it. Thanks Bill Johnson. Another unjustified waste of money.

To the 41.9% of eligible voters in America
gantrules replied to nobody's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
gosh darn right....how much does it take to get out there and vote? Even if we strongly believe in different candiates we agree it's important to vote. -
Gene I agree wholeheartedly with you....And I voted for Bush in 2000. All you can do is hope for the best while our troops get sent off to die for the financial gain of the wealth business owners who want to set up shop in Iraq. Somehow this will benefit us all in job growth, lower oil prices and a stronger economy...I guess.... But, hey, we should be proud because the majority of people voted for Bush for Moral Values.... Drinking and Driving, killing hundreds of innocent Iraq citizens, give tax relief to the top 1% so they can have more money to create more jobs...that are getting outsources to countries with cheaper labor while prices continue to rise on real estate, medical insurance and gasoline...god I guess these are important in our Heirarchy of Needs anymore. The division of wealth just stretched a little more....

Why not??? Lord knows our Moral Values will be higher than ever.

lol....title got me.

Lesson for Democrats to learn:
gantrules replied to Typical TBD Guy's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Then why in America is the word "liberalism" such a bad thing - bad enough that Kerry had to avoid it like the plague in the debates - while the word "conservative" isn't? Can't ignore the 4 million popular vote margin of victory, either. -------- I can ignore it seeing if you look at the percentage it's .02, 2 percent, of the population that voted. -
Some of you deserve to have this rubbed in your faces. Small people + small minds = Whinny Democrats. ----------- Big man to degrade other people on their choice of who they voted for over a message board. Very big. Your family must be proud.

Hardcore liberals..... lol.... I voted for Bush in 2000. The guy is a joke. -
My six year old was also very interested and also asked how many elections until he is allowed to vote. I tried hard not to tell him which candidate was better, but have really tried to impress upon him how important it is to get as much information as possible and make up your own mind. (Not follow the crowd) ---------------- Yes. You've gotta preach making up your own mind. I grew up in a split household. Dem & Rep. In 1996 I voted for Clinton, 2000 for Bush, 2004 for Kerry.

Man, you are one bitter, bitter person off of this loss. You may want to take a few deep breaths. ------------- It's interesting that everytime the war is brought up NOT ONE of you have the balls to make a statement about it. -
If it continues I could see people in power do things to spite them. ---------- and you don't see this as a problem seeing my tax dollars are worth as much as yours????

while some of you are bashing children... my eight year old daughter sat and watch about a half an hour of the coverage with me last night. She had a vote at school yesterday and 2 out of the 18 kids in her class voted for Kerry. She was one of them. She told me that people were making fun of her because she voted for Kerry and that she was a traitor and she didn't know what she was talking about. I asked her what she said in response and she replied "I didn't bother daddy because they were just following the crowd." My wife and I often have discussions about politics around the house and it obviously caught up with my daughter how important this election was in our eyes. She asked me twice yesterday what year she would be able to vote. So from my experience, if bring it around your children they will tend to see the importance of it. If you don't talk to them or around them they will only see the world through the eyes of the TV.

Bush won well over 50% and that signify a clear agenda. -------------- WELL OVER 50%???? When did 1% above 50% become "WELL OVER". I'm glad CNN told you to determine what well over means and you couldn't look at it through your own mind. CNN said it so it MUST be true though.....RIGHT??? -

Liberals can't be liberals if they have no place to be liberal in. We are at war. First things first. Once that minor nuisance is taken care of, they can then go back to important stuff like Gay Marriage and making sure there are no Nativity scenes on display at Christmas. ---------------------------------------- A war created for what purpose???? Seriously is it for population control? The president LIES to you or didn't gather enough information before making an informed decision about WOMD but gets re-elected??? Clinton get a harmless BJ and lies about it and gets impeached??? What in gods name is wrong with this country? -

GWB Breaks the All-Time Popular Vote total

Great day for America... They have spoken ------------- and when a victory is determined by 2% of the population I would say almost half of the country is unhappy with the results. -

It's not the government's job to fund research. You want to YOUR give money for research, go ahead. ---------------- Lol...when your wife/grandma/children/you is/are dying of breast cancer/lukemia/heart failure but yet we are funding a war that is only killing people for no good reason and wasting an insane amount of funds on it then lets see how you react. -

Liberalism is dying???? Margin of victory RIGHT NOW is 2% or 3.8 million people out 113 million that voted. Dead? Hardly. Please look at the numbers prior to making posts that are just flat out incorrect. -

Perhaps you shouldn't look at total numbers and compare them to past years considering this by far the largest voter turnout ever. Look at the margin of victory and then make a statement about GW's popularity. -

That's funny because I heard Bill Clinton called Bush and told him the same thing. Congrats Republicans....I hope to god this works out for you. Interesting that the main reason people voted for him were "Moral Values". Aren't we talking about a former drunk who took over a country just because he "thought" they had weapons of mass destruction??? One positive to come out of this is that Cali is going to begin Stem Cell research with their own funding. At least one state is using common sense..... -
see ya in 10 years or so when the affects of the crack, and extasy wear off. ------------------- Way to support our youth. No wonder they don't care.

P Diddy said he was happy with the results he got from his campaign to get the youth to vote.
