  1. Good points Brandon. But once again, Drew has the out that he has been through two coordinators in the last two year. There is an adjustment period for him to go through. And although he didn't have great stats this year his team was 9-7. If I was running the team I would be hesitant to let Drew walk or put him in the backup role simply because it's A. Obvious from the comments by Moulds and TD that JP is getting better but he's not ready B. He's better than any other short term options we have.
  2. That's a shame. The players are running the asylum in Seattle.
  3. And let's overlook the fact that the first four games were exploratory for MM. Those first four games were not Drew Bledsoe's fault in my recollection. The entire depth chart has been changed since that occured. That was Greggo's team and it no longer is.
  4. Yeah right. It's not going to happen, Drew will be back in 2005. I haven't seen one article that indicate JP is ready.
  5. Hey now, they were suppose to be in good shape going in to last year. Injuries played a BIG role in that failure. But, look at this year. Halladay will be back which will take some of the pressure off Batista and Lilly. It's too bad Phelps didn't pan out b/c I thought the kid was going to be a stud. I enjoy going to the Skydome. I'm planning on going a couple times this year.
  6. Well, babysitting is expensive these days. I can't say I haven't considered doing the same myself at times.
  7. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...whitlock/050106 It's a good read. I didn't know the information in here about Priest Holmes. And it's interesting that he was more concerned about 2000 yards than catching passes out of the backfield. So once again, here is another example of an RB worrying about his stats before team success. Is this becoming a trend??? Is the NFL turning in to the NBA?? I hope not.
  8. Winners ---------- Indy Chargers Packers Rams
  9. But, seriously, would you be a backup at this stage of your career after being a starter for basically your entire tenure as a NFL QB? At 32? It's not happening. Drew isn't elite. But, he's servicable.
  10. Drew's gotta feed his family, and 6 million doesn't go as far as it use to.
  11. Lol, would you be a number two QB at this stage of your career if you are Drew? Seriously, the guy has to think about his financial well being and backing up the Buffalo Bills isn't the answer.
  12. oh boy, between this and the Pataki speech I'm not sure I can handle anymore platitudes....
  13. The day I compare football to sex is the day I find a new wife.
  14. If you can sneak in to the pharms try to get some Hydrocodone. Then mail it to me. But, if not, ask the pharmacist. I always do that simply because they know what is going around and can give better advice on what has worked for people.
  15. But, it'll be full when they get that new stadium!!!
  16. First, Oakland didn't get screwed. They are more than likely going to have a great 1-2-3 punch again by next year. They picked up a ton of talent between the Cards and Braves trade. Second, if Florida decides to move Beckett/Willis/Burnett I believe they will end up getting value. Look at the Penny move.
  17. But yet they have a three year old stadium.
  18. The Marlins are hardly a mediocre team. They had a breakout of injuries that hurt them last year. I'd say their pitching staff is better than the Red Sox right now.
  19. Kasper, the threshold for this years salary cap is $128 million. And the luxury tax doesn't go directly to other teams. The tax money is used for MLB-wide expenses: player benefits, an industry growth fund, and the development of players in countries lacking organized high-school baseball. So, while it's helping baseball as a whole it's not assiting the "Kansas City Royals" of the world. Where, in my opinion, Carlos Beltran should be playing. The struggle with MLB is that the product being sold isn't the same as the NFL. The NFL has 8 games to worry about. The MLB franchises have 81. So, if you live in NYC or Boston with the other billion people it's going to be more likely there are going to be other people attending the games than in Kansas City on a Tuesday evening in the middle of summer.
  20. Lol...if he's been doing it this long I'm sure he weeds out the stupid ones. A master thief knows his trade well.
  21. Wow, so the guy steals your ideas? What the F? So, the next time he comes in to talk in a one-on-one setting ask him if you share with him whether or not he is going to steal them and use them as his own. That's what I would do. Calling him out in front of the group could end up bad for you but if you do it one-on-one the only relationship that could potentially get ruined is the one between you two.
  22. Are you kidding me? Take what you can get? No thanks. I watched two series of a Bears/Cowboys game on Thanksgiving that just about made me vomit.
  23. What's wrong with the wides we have? I've got no problem with moving Aiken in as the number three reciever next year and letting Josh go to four. Houzmenzahdeh is going to command some dough considering he put up nearly 1k yards this year. Cincy will probably let him go considering Warrick should be back next year and is an ample number two reciever. I'd like to see Freddie Jones for Travis Henry. Edit: we need more short yardage production. Last year I preached Willis would help Drew in this area. Campbell may be the guy but I'm more inclined to go with a Freddie Jones seeing Travis wants out.
  24. No doubt. They need to elimainate the last two seeds in the playoffs. Seriously should the Jets and Broncos be there either???? What about the Vikings losers of 7 out of 10? The only game I'm "planning" on watching is the Colts/Broncs game simply b/c I like watching Manning. I don't see why they don't do four teams from each conference and give them a week off between the end of the season and the start of the playoffs rather than a week off before the SB. I'd be much more intrigued to watch Pats/Indy, Steelers/SD, Philly/Sea, Atlanta/GB.
  25. Work in shorts???? If it's 100 degrees out I still wouldn't be able to go to work in shorts.
