Today is the 5 month anniversary of....

AD, that really was friggin hilarious. Oh, and don't forget about ol SpikedLemonade. -
But they took a shot and went for the Bowl in 98/99. Butler said all along he pointed to 99 as the last dance and we'd have to take some lumps after that. IF he made it, noone in Bills Nation would have had a problem with a few 3-13s.

Don't forget that Polian also rebuilt the Panthers into a contender as well. Also, I found this...very interesting.... Here's the full link http://www.geocities.com/bflobuzrd_2000/polian.html Anyone know anything about this?

Ask Him Yourself - Mularkey & Donahoe

I usually dislike Sully's articles, believing them to be way over the top and generally a hatchet job. But, today's Sully article simply points out the facts, and they are not good. It was right on the money and at some point this offseason TD is going to have to address his failures with respect to the OL and the lack of playoff appearances.

Great post Rock. To answer your question, as best I can... I have been to numerous road games to follow the Bills. I've seen them play at Giants, Jets, Ravens, Eagles, Pitts, Miami, NE and Tennessee. I do usually pay a fair amount of $$$ for tickets, figuring I don't go often and would rather shell out the bucks for good seats so I can see and enjoy the game. Generally, I buy from scalpers and am surrounded by the home team's season ticket holders. Maybe its because I pay for the good seats, or am not a loudmouth jerk, but I've never had any problems (knock on wood). I generally start conversations with the other team's fans about the game, season etc., and things are cordial, whether the Bills win or lose. I guess if someone is going to act like a jerk, they will be treated like one. If you conduct yourself appropriately, people will treat you that way.

Leave your "Fire TD" signs at home....
bills_fan replied to Mike32282's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope Sully or the Coach gets a hold of this and runs with it. I know I have tix to Denver and will be there proudly with my Fire Donahoe sign. Hell, I may even print up T-Shirts. -
Hey Mike, congrats!! That would make Zachary Simon (born Nov 15, 8lb, 8oz) the second newest. From one first-time new dad to another, have a cigar and enjoy. My wife had the same type of experience, 35 hours of labor, he's not coming out. In for the C-section, which she didn't really want. Pretty wild sitting in the OR talking to her while they did it. Tough part was that the lights in the OR were angled in such a way and had chrome edges, that we watched the entire thing over the curtain. Best of luck. -Dan PS - I already dressed him in all-Bills regalia for Sunday.

The thing is, for us to have any chance, we have to win out. NE must lose two games (to us and someone else). Then we'd win the tiebreakers based on better conf record (we'd both be 5-1 in division if NE wins all rest of division games except vs. us). The scary game is at Cinci. Maybe with a road win at Miami and a couple of breaks it could happen, tho I doubt it.

I have a split of seasons with a friend who lives in Pittsburgh. We have seats in the Jim Kelly Club. I love it. I have sat in the end zones, the upper deck etc. and feel there is no better place to watch a game than the JK club. There are plenty of kids, most people watch their mouths and fans of opposing teams get heckled, but good-naturedly. For my money, going to only 4 games a year, the JK is worth every penny because I have great seats and enjoy the game without the accompanying BS.

Just taking a stab at it...cut MW, Bennie Anderson. Don't re-sign Teague. Sign Hutchinson to play LG. Draft a LT prospect in the 2nd round to groom. Keep Gandy. We'd look like this... LT - Gandy/ Draft Pick LG - Hutchinson C - Preston RG - Villarial RT - Peters We'd have Geisinger as the backup G, the draft pick as a backup T (eventually will be Gandy). I would also look to sign a versatile OL who can play G or C, for depth purposes. I'd save the big spending (1st Round Pick and FA) for the DT spots.

Buffalo was very competitive in both the NO and Atl games. Phat Pat's run-stuffing presence would have allowed our D to stuff the run more than they did. Since neither NO or Atl passed too well on us, my conclusion is that we could have prevented a score in each game. Hence, my belief that we would be at least 6-5 right now with PW.
-
True that.
-
That was rough, the worst day ever. But, in all fairness and as much as I loved those guys, the only one that had much left in the tank was Bruce. Phat Pat is playing at a pro-bowl level right now, and his loss could be directly attributed to at least 3 losses for the Bills this year. If we could stop the run a little bit, we beat NO, ATL and possibly either NE or Carolina. We'd be sitting at 6-5 or 7-4 and control our own destiny.

The term "re-building" implies that something was built in the first place. What has TD ever built, but a losing, non-playoff team?

RuntheDamnBall...where in Brooklyn? I'm in Bay Ridge.

Worst offseason move ever.

Fuggin TD doesn't think so....right from the his mouth!! It makes TD sound like the Iraqi information minister...the guy who claimed there were no American troops in Iraq, when we held Bagdhad airport...

Wanna make some more money this week ?

Since we're talking about this game (and I'd would definately stay away), the play on it is to tease Philly with the over. The o/u is 39, and Philly is a 3 point fav. Tease the o/u to 33 and take the over with Philly +3 or even Dallas +9 (tho road games can get away). If you really want to make a play, tease Browns/Steelers in Pitt. The line is Pitt -7.5, and the o/u is 34.5. I'd tease Pitt down to -1.5 and tease the o/u down to 28.5 and take the over. -
AKC, thanks for a terrific post. So, in your opinion, do you believe that Mike Gandy could be a viable LT beyond this season? Also, great breakdown on Peters and Teague. I myself thought he'd be LT material. Apparently, I may be wrong. Perhaps Teague really does get an unfair rap on this board and from fans in general. Anyway, I hope Everett turns out to be a good blocker and that he can replace Neufield. Again, thanks for the great work.

NFL is definately coming to LA!

I think your leading contender would be New Orleans. -
Couldn't agree more.

I'm hearing a renewal of the BEST college football rivalry of the 80s at the Orange Bowl...Miami-ND. Thats must see TV.

Ummmm...if Willis McGahee doesn't get injured, Miami scores the TD and goes to OT again. There was no "ass kicking" in that game.
