  1. Our DL and LBs--did the season already start and I missed it? If you watched Channel 2 news and saw his press conference he also said he didn't do well b/c defenses had to key on him and that was it. If you stopped him that is all you had to do so his season stunk b/c in his words "they could put 9 in the box"
  2. It'll take a 1st and a 3rd--are you kidding me? Waaaay to steep a price for an unproven back. That's the price for him as a RFA
  3. I actually do not mind JW and he usually has some good perspective on things. Where he gets the idea--or anybody gets the idea that Willis is a top 5 back I just don't know. And newsflash---the season does not start for another 6 months so who cares if there are no RB on the roster now. There will be like 5-6 once training camp comes around. I, too have switched to Sirius NFL pretty much all the time now as the station just piles on the Bills and how inept they are at everything. And to the Willis apologists like JW, how come the line was so bad but JP and Evans seemed to flourish behind it the last half of the season but Willis couldn't?
  4. He'll learn the plays for Baltimore but NOT the Bills! Where are all the Willis defenders now. He didn't have to live here but it sure would have been nice for him to come back to Buffalo a handful of times to learn the plays and help his teammates---does this show all the Willis defenders the kind of guy he is?
  5. Thanks! That is great news and makes JP very signable if he indeed keeps progressing
  6. I agree--it is much easier to find a good RB than good defensive players. You could get a good back in the 2nd or 3rd round. It is the easiest position to go from college to the pros. Go defense--either Willis or Okoye.
  7. Gee, his whole 60 yards a game will be greatly missed!
  8. Willis, Okoye or Peterson (if for some reason he fell that far). I'd be happy with any of those three but I agree that Willis fills an immediate need with the type of guy you want.
  9. There were 25 other backs---yes 25, with more yards from scrimmage than Willis last year. You tell me who got the better deal!
  10. Not the one who doesn't know what down it is!
  11. I thought they'd be lucky to get a 3rd rounder total for him! 26th in the league in all purpose yards! You can ge that in the 5th round this year!
  12. Three picks for an average player--good job by the Bills! Odds are you get a player out of three that helps your team more than Willis. Bring in Dillon, Brown or Rhodes for a year and have thtem share time with whoever you end up drafting this year.
  13. Prior to the draft was anyone here clamouring to draft McGahee? I don't recall anyone wanting Travis out of here. McGahee is disinteredted in being here, does not like the city, is disrespectful of the staff and fellow teammates (at least last year) by not showing up to one--not one--of the minicamps. With a new coaching staff, new team and playbook he would just rather have stayed in Florida. What does that say about his committment to the coaches, his teammates and organization? Not much!
  14. Send him to GB! He complains about the lack of night life in Buffalo--try Green Bay Willis!!!!!
  15. He was not cut he was just put on IR. And go easy on the guy. He is actually a very nice guy, soft spoken but very nice if you've ever met him. Don't let your displeasure with his play make you actually hate the guy. With all the bad athletes out there like Pacman you sit there and spew hatred against a guy who never had any run-ins with the law, was married, bought a home in OP with his wife and kids. Going overboard like that gives Bills' fans a bad rap. Ease off on the personal attacks---and hey, he did play very well for one season and okay for another--just not Pro Bowl material for what you thought you'd get with the 4th overall pick. But look at McKinney and Gallery as well--although Mckinnie played better of late he is in no way the dominant lineman he was made out to be.
  16. Did I miss the first couple games and did we lose by 40 points? I must have missed the draft, the rest of free agency and all of the training camp cuts as well! Man do we stink---what were your words? The worst in the NFL.
  17. Depth at a decent price.
  18. He's proved he is an average back to date. Average/good runner, poor pass catching ability and average blocker. I completely agree that the best thing about this is that it shows McGahee and Rosenhaus he is not getting 5M/year. Maybe 2.5-3M/year, plentry of other guys out there as well as the draft that are equal to him.
  19. A 3rd round pick is his value. You couldd pick up a rookie to get the same production you got out of him last year. He does not want to be hear---basically confirmed by what Rosenhaus said. He probably will have a decent year given that it's his contract year but for him that is about 1200 yards. RB value has diminished greatly in the NFL except if you're an LT. He gained all of 990 yards last year and many times he could have gained more than he did. He is about maybe the 16-20th best RB in the league--3rd rounder is good enough for him. The Colts seemed to do fine when they lost a much more superior back in James.
  20. When does he get bad PR? He has gotten great PR since retiring and is beloved in this area. He has matured and has become a very good spokesman for leukodystrophies b/c of Hunter and is a great ambassador for the area. He still lives here, hosts Thurman when he comes back and is active in charity. 20G is still 20G and is generous regardless. Way to go Jimbo. JP will make more in his next contract than Jim did during his whole career!
  21. Great guy, great player but not much value at 32 as a MLB. 10.5M SB and 25M over 5 yrs. You may get one and maybe 1.5 good seasons out of him. Age just catches up with you. Good for him though. At least when he doesn't make the playoffs year after year he will be quite wealthy!
  22. The 49ers could be saying the same thing--they just paid a CB who has never been voted to a pro bowl 80M over 8 years. And a guy a season ago looked like he was on a downslide until the last 8 games of this year. So in reality nobody knows right now. Foxsports was calling Dockery the 5th best free agent and The Bills got him! Do you recall people writing less than 12 hrs ago on this board the Bills would not sign a single FA ranked in the top 50? I do. So they addressed big needs with guys who have started in this league. They also added depth. Overall on day one you've got to call it a good day for the Bills.
  23. That's a big cap hit if he stinks in 2 years! Does he stay motivated with all of that money in his pocket???? Good for him. I always liked him--but that is a lot to pay a CB.
  24. An immediate upgrade from Willis. And a guy that always wanted to be a Buffalo Bill! The guy wore the Bills stuff when he was growing up in Frostproof. He studied the RB position here and knew how many yards he needed/wanted to get in a season to beat out Thurman. I don't think it will happen but he was a tough, tough runner and showed a lot of heart, again this past season. I would be happy with Travis and A train as a back-up and then going hard on defense in the draft.
