  1. I'd love to see us beat the Bengals, then the Niners, then the Steelers and then make the playoffs. Then WATCH OUT, the Bills would be on a 7 game win streak, and nobody and I mean NOBODY will want to face them in the playoffs. Right now we are firing on all cylinders, offense, defense and special teams, that is a very dangerous triple threat! That being said, as Troy Vincent said, "We are what we are, a 7-6 team, every game is a playoff game for us, right now we can only look at the game in front of us." (some paraphrasing there) Let's just worry about the Bengals right now!
  2. Actually the Bills are playing much better when Bledsoe is not focusing almost exclusively on Moulds. If you look at the Bills losses you'll see an inordinate % of passes being thrown Moulds way. When Bledsoe uses 7-10 different pass receivers a game we win. When Bledsoe throws to 5 pass receivers with 70% of them going to Moulds we lose. Don't get me wrong, I think Moulds is a vital key to the success of our offensive game plan, but we are a much more dangerous team if the opposing defense has to worry how to cover our other threats besides Moulds. It is one of the reasons that I think Bledsoe is playing better (I didn't say playing great or even good, just better), is that he has learned to trust other players to make plays!
  3. Skinny's Casino Skinny Dakota has recently opened his own Casino and he has put you on the VIP list for opening night. This seeming act of kindness almost makes you reevaluate your opinion of him as a conniving little dung beetle but you soon grow suspicious that he is merely trying to get you to lose at one of his (almost certainly rigged) casino games. Curiosity inspires you to go to the Casino anyway and when you get there Skinny comes to meet you and leads you over to what looks like a Craps table. However, it’s a craps table with a slight difference and Skinny explains the rules. “Okay, here at Chez Dakota we like to do things a little differently. Here we play with three dice and each of the three dice has twenty sides. The first two dice are the “House’s” dice and the third dice is yours. The croupier over there throws the two house dice and then you roll your lone dice. If the number on your dice is in between the numbers on the houses dice, you win. If it is not, the house wins. Fancy a try?” Knowing Skinny, it’s no surprise to discover that the odd are not in your favor. Since Skinny is such a well known con merchant there wouldn’t be much point in asking if the game was fair at all. However, what is more challenging is the question, what exactly are your chances at winning Skinny’s new game? By Neil Murrell & Joe McCrea
  4. I'll take a 13-10 loss to OAK over a 34-17 loss to CLE!
  5. That's what I respect about the Red Sox, they showed the Yanks that you don't need the highest payroll in the league to win the World Series! You only need the 2nd highest payroll!
  6. He said, "I just bet $100 on the Bengals to WIN the game against the Bills this week." Which means that he either took a straight up bet against the Bills or he bet the moneyline. Either one means that he bets the Bills outright lose! I'm sorry but as a Bills fan I WILL NOT BET AGAINST THE BILLS WINNING!
  7. I love to gamble, but even if I was a degenerate gambler and I thought I had a lock with Buffalo not winning, I could NEVER, may I repeat NEVER bet against the Bills winning! You call yourself a Bills fan?
  8. True enough, but why dwell on the negative? That game has carried me through the last three, but you know what they say, things run in threes...I hope the Bills meet up with the Pats in the playoffs!
  9. The candlestick maker union couldn't come up with the 20 million dollar naming rights.
  10. I agree the fans down here are uninspiring to say the least! When sold out RWS is top 5 in the league for fan excitement and noise! ps. Steve I see you've started a trend. Scroll down 4 posts.
  11. ...I do mean DUMB: (The late) John Pernicky and his friend, (the late) Sal Hawkins, of the great state of Washington, decided to attend a local Metallica concert at the George Washington amphitheater. Having no tickets (but having had 18 beers between them), they thought it would be easy to "hop" over the nine foot fence and sneak into the show. They pulled their pick-up truck over to the fence and the plan was for (the late) Mr. Pernicky, who was 100 pounds heavier than Mr. Hawkins) to hop the fence and then assist his friend over. Unfortunately for (the late) Mr. Pernicky, there was a 30 foot drop on the other side of the fence. Having heaved himself over, he found himself crashing through a tree. His fall was abruptly halted (and broken, along with his arm, as it were) by a large branch that snagged him by his shorts. Dangling from the tree with a broken arm, he looked down and saw some bushes below him. (Possibly) figuring the bushes would break his fall, he removed his pocket knife and proceeded to cut away his shorts to free himself from the tree. Finally free, (did I mention that he is THE LATE) Mr. Pernicky Rosened into Holly bushes. The sharp leaves Scratched his ENTIRE body, without the protection of his shorts. To make matters worse (?!), on landing, his pocketknife penetrated his thigh 3 inches. (The late) Mr. Hawkins, on seeing his friend in considerable pain and agony, decided to throw him a rope and pull him to safety by tying the rope to the pick-up truck and slowly driving away. However, in his drunken haste/state, he put the truck into reverse and Rosened through the fence landing on his friend and killing him. Police arrived to find the Rosened pick-up with its driver thrown 100 feet from the truck and dead at the scene from massive internal injuries. Upon moving the truck, they found John under it, half-naked, scratches on his body, a knife in his thigh, and his shorts dangling from a tree branch 25 feet in the air.
  12. I feel like I'm surrounded by all you fricken post padders....
  13. I would definately agree with you about them passing all over us... ...especially since our defense is only ranked 3rd in the league against the pass (176.4yds/gm), 1st in completion rate (54.8%), tied for 3rd in sacks (38) and tied for 4th in interceptions (17). As for the customary 3+ road turnovers... ...there is simply no way I can argue this point.
  14. Better yet maybe Takeo could get a commercial like Holyfield and Charlie Steiner did.
  15. Hopefully a big running day for the Bills. My "unofficial" prediction is Buffalo generates over 175 total rushing yards, Bengals time of possession, less than 26 minutes. BUF 23 CIN 10
  16. I love that fact!! A team has a much better chance of overcoming adversity if they are not one sided. The last four weeks we have seen the offense, defense and special teams all take an equal role in putting up the points and opprtunities for points. I love it!
  17. I'm always nervous about these "sure win" games, especially against an arch rival! We are playing on the road aginst a division opponent who has nothing to lose. That being said, we should have a great day against the fish! Their # 6 defense has lost a step since our first game. They are terrible against the run giving up an average of 136 yds/gm, 29th in the league. Teams average 32 attempts per game, 4th most in the league. They are # 1 in passing yds/gm, but they only face 27 attempts per game, least in the league. That is a pefect matchup for our offense. Throw in the fact that Zach is out and 2 of their starting DL on now on IR, we could have a big day, that is if Drew doesn't make any big mistakes! I'm not worried that the Bills will take this game lightly, I am more worried about dumb turnovers and stupid penalties, that could be our undoing. As a fan who will be at the game I am hoping for a similar situation as the game against the Rams, where in the 3rd quarter you had a strong feeling that the win would be ours. I do not want to see the Bills trying to hold off a last minute score to win the game!
  18. Idiots or not, you have to ban the banning, unless they are maliciously attacking individuals or the board itself.
  19. Time for a course on learning to live with bears! Bears and people meet under a variety of circumstances. Most bears are wary of people and will usually leave when encountered. Although seeing a bear can be a memorable experience, some people are frightened when they encounter these animals. Bears can become a nuisance when they visit homes, resorts, campgrounds and restaurants. Although some bears become used to people, they are still wild animals no matter how "tame" they may appear. People must always be cautious around bears since they may react unpredictably.
