Lee Evans is the best WR in Buffalo
sfladave replied to KurtGodel77's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't have any "stats" but I'm fairly certain that I saw Moulds going across the middle quite often, but I don't remember Evans doing so very often. -

The "first electronic computer" was built in 1889 for the U.S. Census Bureau. Idaho is the only state in the U.S. that has never had a foreign flag flying over it. Number, in feet, of a Slinky if stretched out flat: 87. Most common language spoken by NYC cab drivers, Urdu. -

You are born with 300 bones, but have only 206 as an adult. The others fuse together. 5% of Americans think "espresso" is an overnight delivery service. Doctors in ancient China were paid when patients were healthy, not sick. There really is an insect called the love bug. It spends 56 hours, more than half its life, mating. -
Actually that is a strategy that many fund managers employ to limit their downside or to lock in large gains.

Galloway ranking ahead of Moulds is a prime example of why these stats are misleading. Galloway had 32 catches for 416 yards and 5 TDs. Moulds had 88 catches for 1048 yards and 5 TDs. Do you really think that Galloway is a more capable receiver than Moulds? Would you rather have Galloway instead of Moulds? -
Linebacker Tedy Bruschi [news] showed even more perspective. ``You're asking me to comment on what a kicker said?'' asked Bruschi, laughing. ``It doesn't really concern me. OK?'' This quote from Bruschi sums it up perfectly! That being said I hope the Colts can pull out an upset!

I want their real estate agents name. The $500K house I was looking at would only cost me $28,600 if they could get me a similar deal. -

Well I hope they have scenes like this in the movie. She always has been a hottie.

So what you're saying is that if only we had an offense and a decent kicker we could have won more?

We played 16 games this year, give me a good example of where our defense didn't play well enough for us to win besides the NE and Pittsburgh games (which I've already conceded they lost for us). Then explain the reasons we lost those other 5 games. The fact is even if we put the stats aside, our defense did what it should for 14 games. the offense didn't do what it should for 10 of the games. I respect everyones opinions but to say we need to work on our defense to improve the Bills is simply assinine. The failure to make the playoffs this year falls squarely on the shoulders of the offense!

BF I have to disagree. Our offense didn't produce jack sh-- during the 2nd half of the season, except as a major contributor for the Miami game. THEY cost us the Jacksonville, Oakland, 1st NYJ, 1st NE and the Baltimore games. The biggest factors in our end of season run was our defense and special teams. We didn't go on that run because our offense suddenly took control and proved itself as a capable and effective offense. We won in spite of the offense. It was Special Teams and Defense that won most of those games. I'm not trying to take away anything from impact that McGahee, Evans and the OL had in that run, but there is NOWAY their effect was the same if we didn't have such an excellent defense.
-
Our offense is overrated if anything! I would suggest that our defense played out 14 wins this season. They lost to New Englands 2nd game and our final game at Pittsburgh. Our offense is responsible for the other 5 losses (and a part in the other 2 losses). To suggest that we have a sub par defense otherwise is unfounded. The loss at Jacksonville is a prime example. Granted Clements and the rest of the defense allowed an unlikely TD drive at the close of the game, but if the offense had been able to do ANYTHING in that game we might be talking about how the Bills faired against the Colts this weekend instead of what is wrong with our defense.

I must disagree. Winfield was a GREAT open field tackler, but he was never a great cover corner. One of the reasons he had so many tackles is that they threw to his coverage so often. The best sign of an effective CB is number of passes thrown their way. Clements may have made some BAD mistakes, but they were made by him trying to be aggressive. I'll take a turnover making CB over a great tackling CB ANYTIME.

To say the least I am not blown away by this season so far, but I am still addicted to the last minute scenarios they throw at you in the last few minutes of each episode.

The official Super Bowl prediction thread
sfladave replied to Mile High's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well the Palm Beach Post had Seattle losing to New England in the Super Bowl. While I cannot agree with the Seattle pick, I think that Philadelphia makes it to the super Bowl. I also disagree that New England will make it, I'm fairly certain that Pittsburgh will be the AFC champs. There is no contest...Pittsburgh wins easily! -

You have NO IDEA! Dirty stores, rude employees, dumb employees, employees that cannot speak English (fun while you're ordering a sub at the deli) and looooooong lines at the cheakout! I like the Albertsons near my house. -

I hope it's true, good news for Bills fans if it is!

Well after the 1st few weeks of the season I was thinking that I made 1 of the dumbest bets ever! My thanks go out to our OL, Willis and coach McNally! Without them this would never have possible! FYI Steve has already contacted me regarding payment, he's a stand up guy in my book!

Miami Dolphins renaming stadium

Instant classic! -
If I remember correctly I believe SD is $20 million uder the cap next year, so they do have some options. Rivers won't be traded because the cap hit would be huge. It would seem more likely to put the franchise tag on Brees and entertain some offers.

I want to know who is responsible for covering up the rest of the butt on your avatar? MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...thongs are good!

I wouldn't be opposed to all divisional winners and the top 4 wild cards make it, BUT doesn't that take something away from the conference rivalry? But then again maybe the final 64 in NCAA basketball has something right.
