It's about time the NC double @ ssholes paid taxes
ACor58 replied to ACor58's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Holy crap, will you please stop trying to pick a fight, are you really that bored? My argument was about the NCAA not paying taxes. Hospitals are a whole different animal altogether. I only said the same can be said for hospitals as a general statement because it has been mentioned before. (Like when UPMC realized profits of $512 million for FYE06.) -

I wasn't implying that all hospitals should not be tax exempt, just stating that the same could be said. I should have said "some hospitals". -

So are a lot of other organizations, but I think it is ridiculous that the NCAA is tax-exempt. (The same can be said for hospitals, colleges, etc.) The NCAA earned $470MM or 90% if their operating revenue from Television and Marketing Rights Fees. I don't have much of a rebuttle for the USGA, other than the fact that they earn about 86% less than the NCCA does from Marketing and TV. They should be paying taxes also, at least on the net income earned from TV, etc. -
I am looking for something different than mine.

When Butters finally signs on and comes out as the same dwarf character as Cartman, hilarious.

I get it just fine. Here is what I am saying. The Patriots are a Dynasty and have been one of the best teams in football for the last 5 years. They barely got past us, barely got past the Jets and lost to the Broncos. They then went into Cincy, some peoples pick to win the Super Bowl, as Under Dogs and kicked the crap out of them. That is a statement to the league saying that they are the Patriots and should still be feared, despite people writing them off. We are the Bills. If or when we beat Chicago it would be a great victory and an upset, but at the end of that game, we will not suddenly be viewed as a force to be reckoned with or a team to fear. One win against the Bears does not earn that for the Bills. I guess that what I am saying is that we are not quite good enough to make a statement yet. That doesn't mean that later in the year we might have a chance, but right now, I am sorry, that is not the case.
-
It would be a nice win and an upset, but not a statement. If we were 3-1 and still underdogs, then yes, it would be a statement saying that we are for real. However, we are 2-2 and choked one away against the Jets. The win would turn some heads, but would not be making a statement. The Patriots had a statement game against the Bengals.
-
Sorry, but the Bills haev not earned the right to have a statement game. We lost that right by collapsing at home to the Jets. If we do beat the Bears it will simply be an upset.

I think that might have been the plan originally. But Crowell has played the outside, both weak and strong that I think it might be hard to move him to the middle. I guess we'll have to wait and see. That being said, I am a bif Fletcher fan and I think he still has a few years left in him.
-
Quite possible that Ellison could eventually move into the middle and replace London.

Another emotionless coach with no fire power got fired from Cleveland named Bill Belicheck. I am not saying that Jauron is the next Belicheck, but we are very happy with him thus far. Jauron was never supposed to be successful in Chicago. He was not Jerry Angelo's guy. All of the criticism that I ever hear about Jauron has come from fans and sportswriters, who in the grand scheme of things, don't know dick. Every player that has been asked their opinon of DJ has summed it up in two words. He is a great coach and a great man.

WOW. I was thinking that he'd only get 4 games at the most, but he would still get paid. He is lucky that he didn't stomp the guys eyeball out.

NBC Football Night in America Broadcast
ACor58 replied to ACor58's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that you guys are missing the point. The NFL is controlling the amount of highlights that any one program can show. "The Blitz" cannot go back to the original "Primetime" format. Football night in America Pregame cannot mimmick the old "Primetime" format. The only place that you can watch an all NFL highlight show is on the NFL Network. -
Welcome aboard.

NBC Football Night in America Broadcast
ACor58 replied to ACor58's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What many people don't realize is that the NFL does not allow any Network, other that the NFL Network to have a "Highlight Only Show." That is why the NBC Pregame does not have many highlights. Have you watched Inside the NFL lately? Theydo not show highlights from every game anymore, and the games they do show are not nearly as in depth as they used to be. -
What would possibly entice a fane to leave early?
ACor58 replied to MDyl7993's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
...and despite this fact, I still manage to attend two games per year. I pointed out specific things that I did not like about the Gameday experience, but the only thing that you managed to rebute was the traffic, and apparently you have a magical way out of the stadium that I don't know about. Somehow I guess that all lead you to believe that I am a Rhinos fan. -

That is a dumb statement. Because I choose to watch the games at home with my buddies doesn't make me any less of a fan than you. I would rather have you come over here and stomp on my junk than go to a Rhinos game. -

I live in Rochester, so it is a little different for me. I am not familiar with any of the back ways. We take the expressway all the way to Route 90. If the game us over by 4:00, we will not get home until between 7:00 or 7:30. I didn't say that visiting teams had more fans than Bills fans, but it is not uncommon for there to be between 10,000 and 15,000 Patriots or Jets fans at our home games, and many of them outnumber Bills fans in certain sections. That is all that I was implying. -
I listen to Mike & Mike in the morning, and for the most part, I do enjoy listening to them, but they have no love for the Bills, ever. Greenberg is a huge Jets fan, and he doesn't hide that fact, so you can kind of understand his negative attitude towards us. As far as Golic goes, I am not sure if you ever watch NFL Live, but that whole crew does not have a lot of love for the Bills, Golic included. That idiot Schlereth has not picked us to win a game once this season. He picks us to lose every week.
