  1. In case anyone's interested... It's down to just $214,000 now!!! .
  2. DAUM! I'm on 1/2 acre, with a view of the lake (it's about 4 blocks but we sit up very high), and my taxes are only $4,700. ....and that's on an Appraisal value of $350,000! .
  3. Hello Fellow Football Brethren! How the hell are ya!!! I have a question for you.....I'm currently selling my home and was wondering what I could do to expedite the process in this housing market. ...Then I had a brain storm!..... In the chance that there are people relocating around the country all the time, I thought perhaps I'd post it on our f2FA affiliate's web site! If you should know of anyone that is relocating to Illinois, or wants to, here is my listing for your review. The home is located approximately 40 miles Northwest of Chicago in McHenry County. It's a gorgeous wooded area with private lake. About 15 minutes from the Wisconsin border and 20 minutes from Lake Geneva!!! (My favorite Play Ground!) The home originally Bank Appraised at $350,000. But in this market, we have dropped to $249,000 (as we are very motivated). NOTE TO SITE MODERATORS - If posting the sale of my home is not something that you feel comfortable allowing, then please...by all means, delete this thread. I would have preferred to ask permission first, but I don't know who the site moderators are. And I don't want to be out of compliance with your site policy. To view home just follow this link: -->> http://www.richperillo.illinoisproperty.co...;detail=gallery ...................... .
  4. Hey, guys (and Gals), just wanted to stop by and wish you all great luck with the remainder of the season. I was out yesterday, otherwise I would have been here. You guys were all GREAT last week, and we at BaBearz had a great time talking football with you all. It really made the week go by fast! Perhaps we'll still meet again! Oh, and DO kick the crap out of the LIONS this week! ... .
  5. Currently sitting at a surprisingly respectable 2-2, the Buffalo Bills face their biggest test of the aging NFL regular season, as they'll take on the Chicago Bears this Sunday. One-quarter of the way through the year, the Bears, at 4-0, are the class of the NFC. Not helping matters for Buffalo is having to play in hostile Soldier Field, where beating a red-hot Bears team seems like a taller order than defeating LeBron James in a game of HORSE. The Bills are dealing with quite a few various concerns entering Sunday's game, but there are a few that stick out above the rest. No. 1 - Duke Preston: A casual observer of the Bills, or the NFL, likely doesn't even know who Preston, a second-year right offensive guard, is. However, with veteran starter Chris Villarial sidelined, Buffalo's newly sturdy offensive line will have to get along with a green youngster starting against the Bears' vaunted defense. Preston, a 311-pounder who attended the University of Illinois, returns to his old college state to face one of the game's fiercest defensive tackles, Tommie Harris. On a Chicago 'D' jam-packed with superstars, Harris and his five sacks are standing out above the rest. Naturally, if Preston can't at least contain the ex-Oklahoma star, quarterback J.P. Losman will get destroyed in the pocket. No. 2 - J.P. Losman: Through four games this season, anyone with eyesight can tell Losman has become a much better QB than what he was last year. The third-year man, in his first full season as a starter, has thrown only one interception compared to four TD passes. But the question is, how will the 25-year-old fare against a legitimately great defensive unit? If he performs poorly, there's not necessarily any shame in it. After all, Chicago's swarming defense has terrorized the likes of Brett Favre and Matt Hasselbeck this year. If Losman can somehow remain both upright and poised in this game, Buffalo will have a fighting chance. However, if the former first-round pick is shaken early in Chi-town, this could turn into a blowout of epic proportions. No. 3 - Defensive pass rush: On paper, the Bears' offense isn't any great shakes. Think again, though. Quarterback Rex Grossman's 100.8 passer rating is good for fifth in the league; running back Thomas Jones is picking up the pace; and the team has some good pass-catching options in the form of Muhsin Muhammad, Bernard Berrian and Desmond Clark (listed as questionable). In the event the Bills' defense gets no pressure on Grossman, he'll pick their secondary apart. And if Grossman gets rolling, Buffalo will be forced to protect against the pass, which will open things up for Jones and Chicago's underappreciated rushing attack. The last two weeks of action have seen the Bills get zero sacks on opposing QBs. Yes, I said zero. Granted, they had to face Chad Pennington and his quick release, as well as the Vikings' elite offensive line, but it still doesn't give Buffalo a pass. Frankly, against a Bears O-line that includes big names like Olin Kreutz, John Tait and Ruben Brown (an all-time Bills great), it isn't going to get any easier. Considering that, the onus for the visitors will be on defensive ends Aaron Schobel, Ryan Denney and Chris Kelsay to mount some sort of rush. Not likely. New Bills head coach Dick Jauron would like nothing more than to beat his former team in its home stadium, but talent will end up ruling the day. Assuming that happens, the obvious edge goes to the juggernaut Bears, led by the cooler-than-ice Lovie Smith, who could be the league's best team. Expect Buffalo's ball-control offense and above-average defense to keep the team in it, but the Bears will pull it out, 17-9. ****************************************************************************************** ...dosen't look to good for Buffalo... But, actually, I think this game is going to be a real Dog Fight! Come'on SUNDAY!!!! ....take the OVER (34) on this game! .
  6. ....and, your point is....????? Did you bother to read my post just before this one...?????? ....or just jump all over the one that I had just renounced..... ..... Just a little reminder....That was also Lovies first season as a HEAD COACH. ....this is NOT Jurons'. .
  7. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....AT MYSELF!!!! I completely forgot, between this site, and your other site...Buffalo Range, that I have already posted here quite a bit! ........ ...... Problem is, I don't get any email notification from this site, so I forget I was even here. Now I notice that it's actually in every post. Is there a way to set this up as Automatic....instead of having to check that box every single time that we post???? Just wondering....no biggy. Anyway....RELAX guys! Geesh....this can't even hardly be called "smack". And yet you guys are going off like the guns of hell. We have total R-E-S-P-E-C-T for the BILLS, and know fully well that the numbers, so far, are NOT very representative of how your good your team really is. You've been to the Super Bowl 4 times in the recent past! THAT'S FREAKIN' AWESOME!!! We've only been there once. 21 years ago! So forgive us if we appear a bit hungry for something to root about!...LOL!!!! Yeah, the PACKERS were nothing to write home about. And the LIONS were a piece of cake. But, the SEAHAWKS......well, that WAS something to feel good about. The BILLS will also be a great test for our BEARS. If we get by you guys, then we're looking pretty good...for a while anyway. After the BILLS, I think our next biggest challenge will be the three road games in a row. GIANTS, JETS, PATRIOTS....And, everyone is only getting better. I, for one, really hope that the BEARS are NOT getting too complacent and cocky in these easy wins. I, personally think that the BILLS will fight like dogs! And, when I say BEARS 41 - BILLS 3......it's not to be "disrespectful" to another GREAT organization. It's just to keep my BEARS waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out there! I hate "nail biters"......when it comes to the BEARS. I love wrapping it up by half-time, so that I can get to the really important things! .....ANOTHER BEER!!!! So, here's to a true DEFENSIVE DOG FIGHT between two GREAT teams! WELCOME TO CHICAGO! BEARS 41 - BILLS 3...!!!! ....come'on.....you can't expect me to just lay down my guns!.....LOL!... .
  8. Good points Kzoo, but here's the difference, imo.... Lovie may be "mild mannered" but he knows how to find, and put together, the talent that it requires. Jaron didn't. Saying that Jaron didn't have the "fire power" that Lovies has, is Jarons own fault. ...and he still doesn't.... BEARS 41 - BILLS 3 .
  9. 600 BIKES!!!! I guess the one on the east coast is about 5,000 bikes. So I'm looking forward to next year being even BIGGER!!!! This was only the first year for Chicago. So, there were alot of people that never even knew about it. .
  10. OMG!!!!....You would die for the puppies that I had in Lake Geneva the other day!!! PORTABELLO & MOZZARELLA STUFFED BRATS!!!!.....WOW!!!!!! I only live about 10 mins. south of the border.
