11/17/24 Game 11 GAMEDAY! Bills vs Chiefs post game Thread
Sabres 2025 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Give McDermott a lot of credit for letting Josh Allen win the game instead of letting his defense win the game. I was going to throw up if he kicked that FG because I thought Mahomes would just march down the field and beat us by 2. Go Bills. Enjoy the bye. -

11/17/24 Game 11 GAMEDAY! Bills vs Chiefs 1st Half Thread

2 point lead and the ball to start the second half. I would have signed up for that. This game will come down to coaching in my opinion. The Chiefs are very good at making adjustments at the half. Hopefully we are too. -

You posted that Barstoolbets is the operating arm of Barstool and said then said Barstool is also a gaming company. That is just wrong. Portnoy bought back Barstool and it was no longer a gaming company. The recent agreement with Draftkings didn't end anything. It is a marketing deal, not a gambling deal. After Portnoy bought back Barstool it was his and he doesn't have a gaming license. -

Barstool is not a gaming company. You can't bet on barstool bets or whatever it is you are referring to. Draftkings is the gaming company and has an exclusive deal with Barstool which markets Draftkings in all their gambling social media. You can't just make yourself into a gaming company. It is not easy to get a gaming license. -

Barstool is not a gaming company. Whether you like Portnoy or not, he is a brilliant marketer. Barstool now has a smaller workforce and is in bed with DraftKings. Difference is Draftkings does not own them like Penn Gaming did. Never really made sense for a gaming company to buy Barstool. Penn Gaming probably always preferred ESPN, but ESPN and all the sports leagues were publicly anti-gaming up until recently. -

I agree. Honestly, I don't think the Bills win today and I much rather beat the "good teams" in the playoffs. In an ideal world we win today and in the playoffs. -
Week 11, Chefs v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Sabres 2025 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Today. Chiefs 24 Bills 17. AFC Title game Bills 27 Chiefs 17. I think the Bills will have a problem stopping the run today, but I expect the Bills to turn the tide in the playoffs with Milano back in the lineup and expect the offense to look much different if they have a healthy Kincaid, Coleman, and Cooper out there. -

I could be wrong and this could turn into a shoot-out, but this game likely comes down to the Bills run defense and the Bills ability to run the ball. KC is so well coached that they likely will just keep running the ball until the Bills stop them. Not sure the Bills can stop them. Hopefully this is not another Ravens type game. I am sure KC has watched the film on that game plenty. -
Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)

I don't know the specifics, but you are likely correct that material costs is driving this. It is possible they are making a lot of changes along the way and that is leading to increased labor costs, but people get paid for work, they are not there to work for free. Are union workers more expensive? They can be and are often not needed for many jobs, but this is a stadium and there is not way you are building a stadium without highly skilled union workers like electricians, plumbers, etc. -

Bills need to win this game just so we don't have to listen through the bye week about how they can't beat the Chiefs, but you are right, a loss to them will mean nothing if we beat them in the playoffs, and a win will mean nothing if we lose to them in the playoffs. -

That is part of it, whether you want to admit it or not. Labor costs are a factor in the rising costs of the stadium. How could they not be. It is mostly increased materials cost, but labor is a factor. No different than building a house. People don't work for free and there is a timeline for building anything. -

Lots of people. Half their viewers are still between 18-34. They have 41.2 million TikTok followers. ESPN, which is much larger basically has 48.5. They have 17M Instagram followes. ESPN has 28M instagram followers. And ESPN has a monster company in Disney behind it. Barstool is actually even more popular than ESPN with the demographic advertisers want. People live in their bubbles on the internet, and obviously your bubble doesn't include Barstool, but millions of other people's bubbles does include barstool. Barstool is very good at marketing. It is basically a marketing company. -

Neither team is healthy. That is football. This game is in Orchard Park. Bills need to win this game, especially with the bye next week and Niners and Lions in 2 of next 3 games. No excuses. We don't need the next two weeks of "the Bills can't beat good teams" or "the Chiefs own the Bills" nonsense. When you are favored on your own home field you need to win. -

Just watched 2021 AFC Divisional Championship replay on NFL TV aka 13 second game. Sickening. I think Allen is just as good as Mahomes, but it is undeniable that the Chiefs have a significant coaching advantage over the Bills. IMO the McDermott in game decision making tomorrow will likely determine outcome of this game. -

They sold it back for nothing for the 161.7 million in tax benefits. They wanted the bigger deal with ESPN, which they paid 1.5B for over 10 years. It was done primarily because ESPN/Disney has deals with the NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB and they knew they would now be allowed to advertise gambling on the broadcasts. Watch a game and you now get bombarded with parlay picks, etc. -

Barstool is not Deadspin or anything close to it. Barstool is quite the juggernaut. It raised over $40M for small business during covid thanks to it's loyal fanbase. Like Barstool or not, it has the audience that advertisers love. -

The numbers are pretty much in line with the new stadiums in LA and Las Vegas. LA was super expensive because of the land, but the actual stadium cost was right around 2B. Allegiant was also around 2B. US Bank in Minneapolis was built over a decade ago for about 1B. Doubling the price over 10 years is what is pretty much expected. Dow Jones closed at around 18,000 in 2014. It is now at 43,000 in 2024. Price of gold was $1200 an ounce. It is now $2600 an ounce. -
Not sure what a Josh Allen statue is going to cost, but they might as well factor it in to the new stadium costs. First of multiple Super Bowls coming this year.

The problem is they might not meet in the playoffs. We lose this game and drop a game to the Lions and we could be staring at the #4 seed and having to host the Ravens or Steelers in the opening round. I much rather be the #1 (bye) #2 or #3 and hosting a team like the Broncos or warm weather team like the Chargers. -

Not good. Hate giving Chiefs the feeling of being disrespected. They are very good at that. Honestly prefer Bills being underdog. My guess is the Bills will be favored by even more than 1 at kickoff. Maybe 2.5-3
