  1. Jeesh, I understand that you have more experience than me as a Bills fan, but I also watched qbs like Bledsoe, JP, and now Trent. Trent is way better than JP and will probably have a career similar to Bledsoe. As far as the Bills lacking heart and toughness, I'm not quite sure how you get that. Have you been on the sideline each week actually hearing these guys say they have no heart? Have you watched every other team in the league this year and witnessed their 'heart'? I'm pretty sure I know the answer to those questions. I know on television it may look like the Bills have 'no heart' but what do you want them to do? Donte Whinter had his eyebrow stapled in the middle of a game, and he continued to play. Terrence McGee got his a$$ lit up by Ted Ginn because he was playing with a sprained knee. Trent Edwards had a concussion and only missed a week (a by week nonetheless). Jason Peters is mentally retarded and plays shows up every week. And as for guys like Stroud having minimal 'effect', I think you are wrong once again. Stroud is by far the Bills best defensive linemen, and if he had any supporting cast I'm sure he'd be even better. Heck, I wouldn't be shocked to see the guy in the Pro-Bowl this year. I am kind of shocked that you call the Bills' management 'awful'. Russ Brandon and co. have done a pretty shabby job so far to me, they traded for Stroud (even though he is making 'minimal impact' he is head and shoulders better than anything we previously had), they signed Kawika Mitchell, they re-signed Lee Evans, they didn't give into Jason Peters, and they are working towards keeping the Bills in Orchard Park. So I know I might need some sort of a reality check, but maybe you could use one too. The Bills lost, and you are taking it worse than a teenager who spells the word 'frugle' wrong. The Bills do have heart, and they have some solid players to build around. I don't know how down you'd be if you were a Lions or Raiders fan!
  2. It'll be tough to right the ship, but facing Cleveland on Monday night is quite the opportunity to do it.
  3. -Bills' next three games: vs. Cleveland MNF game, the crowd will be rockin' and the team will be pumped. @ KC, hopefully no Larry Johnson. vs SF, a pretty easy game. -Brad Butler may be back next week. -Leodis McKelvin is gaining confidence as a Kick Returner. James Hardy may also be gaining confidence after that TD catch. -Dicky J says that he 'will find ways to help them [the team]'. -The Bills are 5-4. -Jason Peters won't be getting any mega-sized contract any time soon. Also, you guys should just be thankful to have a team to root for. Granted, the Bills are not a perennial powerhouse like the Patriots, but they are one of the longest withstanding teams in the entire league. Heck, they might be the one thing you have had in your life the longest! With all of this talk of the Bills moving to Toronto, I no longer take any game, whether it be a win or a loss for granted. I am a freaking 18 year old numbnuts who lives in Florida, but the Bills always have and always will have a significant role in my life and it should have one in yours' too! Another thing, the Bills are on the rise and no one should deny it. They have a 25 year old quarterback who is going to be a future star, a hard-nose duo of running backs, a head coach that players love to play for, exceptional special teams, and, most of all, character. The Bills management is willing to do what it takes to get the players it needs, too. The Bills may not be super this year, but they have a solid nucleus to build upon, and they will definitely appease us sometime in the near future.
  4. here are a few of my observations: 1.) On Trent's first interception I noticed two things: a. Lee Evans fears getting laid when. When have you you ever seen Lee Evans extend for a pass when up the middle? The answer to that would be... never. Lee Evans may have blazing speed, the agility of a gazelle, and excellent hands, but he has one, major flaw; he doesn't extend or dive for the ball. b. Vince Wilfork is dirtier than a male jiggolo's nuts. After the pick, Wilfork totally blind sided Duke Preston and laid him out. 2.) The offensive playcalling today was uglier than this baby: http://www.weirdthings.org.uk/wp-content/u...an-its-ugly.jpg. The Bills can run the ball with 12 minutes left in the fourth, but they can't on third and one. Also, every time the Bills have had a second and one this year, they run it. Why not throw a bomb? Speaking of bombs, I thought Trent said Turk would call those a few times a game... He hasn't thrown one in two weeks. 3.) Lastly, Duke Preston couldn't block Cloris Leachman. I was watching him a few times today and the majority of the time Vince Wilfork absolutely manhandled him.
  5. woah... why the he!! did they not do that the last time they were in the fuggin red zone?!?
  6. why even thinking throwing the ball to Royal? HE SUCKS!!
  7. Well, the Bills only have four active cornerbacks, so...
  8. http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/553197 He played in 16 games for the Redskins last year and he has supposedly been impressing this year. I'd give him a shot.
  9. same here, but I would prefer the Bills sign a veteran center through FA.
  10. A.) Chris Kelsay and Ryan Denney are two of the highest paid, most underachieving DEs in the league. Chris Kelsay is making 5 million dollars this season and Denney is raking in 3 million. The two of them combined have 2 sacks this year. Also, I have never see two DEs miss so many tackles. B.) The Bills defensive backs have a combined 4 interceptions. Terrence McGee had two the first two weeks of the year, and Jabari has two (both he has ran back). That is just inacceptable. I am in not calling Donte Whitner a bust, but I am calling him and whoever else is playing safety next to him out. Maybe the lack of interceptions is a result of a lack of pass rush, but whatever the cause is, 4 interceptions in 8 games is absurd. C.) James Hardy is NOT a bust and whoever wants to blame him for today's interception is nuts! Trent Edwards clearly underthrew James Hardy and the only thing he could do was interfere with the Jet cornerback. Hardy may have been dropping passes, but he'll catch those as he gains confidence. People, the guy is 22 years old, he is 6-5, and he has the talent to be a perennial Pro-Bowler. D.) The Bills offensive line is playing horrendously. Last year the Bills offensive line gave up 26 sacks, this year they have given up 22. Jason Peters should not see a dime for his new contract. For the Bills "best" offensive line, he sure is playing mediocre. The guy has given up a number of sacks this year, resulting in fumbles, his run blocking is average, and he has been called for a bunch of penalties. A second guy to blame for the offensive line's lack of succes in Puke Preston and Melvin Fowler. Duke Preston may be an alternative to Melvin Fowler, but the guy is inadequate. Buffalorumblings.com has an article (http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2008/11/2/...something-compl 2nd to last paragraph) stating how Preston sucks and we all know about Melvin Fowler. E.) Trent Edwards is a the Bills true beast. The guy is only 25 years old (and in his second season), he is already the offense's leader, and he doesn't hit people and run in the off-season. I know Trent has not been looking too great these past few weeks, but one could not put all of the blame on him; he has been taking a pounding these past two weeks, he suffered a concussion four weeks ago, and his running game has been lackluster!
  11. Nov. 9 @ New England 1:00pm W- The Bills will be coming into this game pissed and pumped. I think both Butler and Schobel will be back, benefitting both lines. I also do not think the Patriots have too much talent w/ their DBs and RBs. Nov. 17 Cleveland 8:30pm W- The Bills will shine on Monday Night. Nov. 23 @ Kansas City 1:00pm W- Tyler Thigpen against a healthy Bills secondary... good night. Nov. 30 San Francisco 1:00pm W- San Fran will be in shambles by this time. Dec. 7 Miami* 4:05pm W- The Bills will barely squeak by. Dec. 14 @ NY Jets 1:00pm L- The Jets Will be too much at home. Dec. 21 @ Denver 4:05pm L- The Broncos will be playing for their lives @ Mile High, in the winter. Dec. 28 New England 1:00pm W- New England's season will be over by this point. 11-5, 1st place AFC East.
  12. That is amazing. It took Dallas hours to re-sign Roy Williams and it took the Bills months to re-sign Lee Evans. Maybe that is because the Cowboys were more lenient in shelling out a lot of money for Roy, whereas the Bills wanted to be 'froogle' and not offer too much to Lee. Also, the Cowboys probably made their offer based off of the Evans deal, but the Bills really had no wide reciever deals to stem their offer from.
  13. Now that is good to hear. Players love Dicky J, and so do I!
  14. I'll second that... Go Chargers! Let's only allow one AFC East team to gain ground on us today!
  15. I hate to be a rumor-pooper, but schefter is saying that no stars (Tony Gonzalez) are expected to be traded: Expect trade deadline to be quiet Posted: October 12th, 2008 | Adam Schefter | Tags: Roy Williams, Tony Gonzalez, Trade deadline With the NFL, the trade deadline is more dead than anything else. Though speculation has centered around such high-profile players such as Detroit wide receiver Roy Williams and Kansas City tight end Tony Gonzalez have surfaced, no star is expected to be traded. If any trades go down — and they rarely do — they are expected to be of the “B” list players, not the headliners. Players that have been shopped in recent days include Dolphins quarterback John Beck and Lions wide receiver Shaun McDonald. Of course, the interest in each player has been, at best, minimal. Since the summer the Dolphins have attempted to trade Beck to no avail. At one point in the spring, the Dallas Cowboys expressed a modicum of interest and even offered a player that Bill Parcells once drafted. But the Dolphins rejected that offer. http://blogs.nfl.com/category/adam-schefter/
  16. I agree completely with every point, especially the Marshawn and Lee Evans points. Marshawn does not explode into the hole like Fredrick does. Also, Lee Evans is a great reciever, but from what I see, he rarely gets the ball thrown to him. Maybe that is becuase his is not open as a result of double teams.
  17. Bills are starting to believe after 3-0 start September 21, 2008 6:43 PM Posted by ESPN.com's Tim Graham ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- A sacrilegious cheer resounded at Ralph Wilson Stadium sometime in the fourth quarter. Buffalo Bills fans actually were rooting for the Miami Dolphins. The update flashed: Dolphins 35, Patriots 13. "A couple guys started chanting that Miami's winning," Bills defensive end Chris Kelsay said. "Towards the end of the fourth quarter we were on the sideline, and I glance up and it's way out of hand. It was obvious Miami was going to win that game." http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast
  18. Yea, Vic's views may be a little slanted seeing as how he has been very good to the Bills over the years. But to see the Bills at #5 in a ranking of something good... I am ecstatic!
  19. He's got the Bills as #5, yes #5, in his power rankings! http://www.nfl.com/news/story;jsessionid=9...mp;confirm=true
  20. http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/09/16/...kelly-arrested/ Isn't he the guy they unloaded a hole bunch of caysh on in the off-season and he was coming off a torn acl?
