  1. This is based on what data and evidence, please? And please do not use team metrics like super bowl wins or appearances.
  2. Through his first six seasons Josh has averaged 8.83 rushing TDs per year. For 2024 he is on pace for 8.5 TDs. If he hits 8 for 2024, then he only needs to average 3 per year for the next 5 years to be at 76 (he would be 33 years of age). If he gets no more rushing TDs in 2024, he needs to average 4 per year for the next 5 years to be at 76. Barring a career ending injury, and based on the way he approaches the game, I think it is more likely than not that he ends his career as the all time leader.
  3. I would add one penalty for just 5 yards, when was the last time you saw that in a Bills box score?
  4. Per Over the Cap: Spencer Brown signed a 4 year extension with the Buffalo Bills worth $72 million in new money with $19.855 million fully guaranteed at signing including a $6.4 million signing bonus. Brown is due a $16 million option bonus in 2025, and a $7.1 million roster bonus at the beginning of the 2026 league year. The contract includes per game roster bonuses (up to $510,000) in 2025-2028, and yearly workout bonuses of $250,000 in 2025-2028.
  5. Spencer Brown signed a 4 year , $72,000,000 contract with the Buffalo Bills, including $6,400,000 signing bonus, $19,855,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $18,000,000. In 2024, Brown will earn a base salary of $1,055,000, a signing bonus of $6,400,000 and a workout bonus of $39,765, while carrying a cap hit of $2,593,801 and a dead cap value of $20,074,036.
  6. I think you need to see my reference to "opportunity cost" in the context of the full reply. That context being there is no better option based on evidence, just taking a chance on someone else. As such, you are wasting on opportunity to see if a coach generally regarded as one of the ten best in the NFL can figure out the last few items needed to win it all. It would be interesting to see how many coaches have even had a chance at a super bowl with the same team after their first seven years, as I would expect the turnover to limit that number.
  7. I work in analytics and will tell you that the NFL is all small sample size data. As such, it is quite easy to identify examples like this, but they are not really very valuable. The question I have for the folks that want to change head coaches is what evidence do you have that you can get a better head coach? Unfortunately for the last 25 plus years we have had to compete against possibly the two best coach and QB parings in the history of the NFL, at a time when the QB position has been growing in importance (think about all the rule changes to protect players at the position in that time). Those pairings being Brady/Belichick and Mahomes/Reid. I understand the argument that Josh Allen is just as good as Mahomes and the issue is the head coach, but you are not going to get Andy Reid to come here and I have seen no evidence that there is another alternative that would be a better option than letting McDermott figure out the last few things needed to bring a super bowl trophy to Buffalo. There is a tremendous opportunity cost in changing head coaches, especially when the years you are potentially wasting are with a talent like Josh Allen.
  8. I have and never will be influenced to purchase anything because some famous person, who I don't know and doesn't know me, pushes the good or service. In fact, I would be less likely to purchase these goods or services because I know that the cost of paying the famous person to push the good or service has been added to the cost of that good or service.
  9. Or maybe just two a game with three in one game?
  10. So who do you want to hire for the bills? So who do you want to hire for the Bills?
  11. Andy Reid will most likely end his coaching career as arguably the best head coach of all time. Who do you think that you can hire in place of McDermott that is going to close that gap? Additionally, how many transition years will it take for that new coach to be able to beat Reid, 2, 3? Those are years wasted with a generational QB.
  12. Good Call Doctor Duck, I had forgotten about that pick. I revise my hope for the bears to be the second worst record in 2024 with the Vikings having the worst so we can have the first pick in the second round and second pick in the fourth round.
  13. As a Bills supporter, I am hoping that the Bears have the worst season possible in 2024 and the Bills get the first pick in the fourth round of the draft next year.
  14. Interesting that you saw this chart early in the office season. I note that as I just put this chart together for this post. Someone else must have a similar perspective as mine.
  15. This is my hope for Shakir and everyone else for that matter. The catch rate for Shakir with that many targets is probably not reasonable, but hope springs eternal.
