  1. Wow. That’s a great pickup.
  2. All of last week the talk was the Ravens being the best team in the league. Watch how that talk will shift to Detroit this week. How dominant they are. Destined to win blah blah. I think they will lose to GB this week and the media will hype the next team. If Bills blow out the Fins the media will be all over the team as the one to beat. It happens every year. These media narratives get repetitive and boring year after year.
  3. Not sure about the bolded part. During last week’s commentary he said Mahomes was the only opposing qb he ever felt compelled to go meet after the game. Literally walked over to the opposing locker room and knocked. Brady respects Mahomes’ game and might even be threatened about being surpassed. Brady is not like that with Allen. I always sensed that he thinks Allen as a kid brother that has immense talent but lacks discipline. His comments about Allen being a grade school spaz sometimes is indicative of that feeling.
  4. If they somehow locks up the #1 seed and still undefeated I think Reid would start resting starters. Moot point anyway since they will lose to the Bills in 3 weeks.
  5. Apparently not being complacent is something you’re unfamiliar with.
  6. The margins between teams are so close that I don’t think any team is head and shoulders above. They’re all professionals. That’s a why Cleveland can beat the supposedly best team in Baltimore. KC has that ability to find a way to win in close games. It’s evident during their entire run up to this point. The bigger the game the higher the pressure the more it becomes an advantage for them.
  7. They did lose quite a few games last year and looked vulnerable as ever. Then they came to OP in the playoffs and felt right at home. That’s why I don’t get people who say KC should fear the Bills. Really?
  8. He’s a free agent after this season. Which means he’ll be on his best behavior and play above expectations the remainder of the season to get that new contract.
  9. He’s gonna help their bad defense.
  10. Winning the East was never in doubt despite what the media said this offseason.
  11. This seems personal.
  12. Looks more like biker Michael Myers.
  13. Winning it all is so tough…even for KC. Let’s see how things unfold. Getting Cooper has given the Bills a shot imo.
  14. Yeah Mahomes has earned grace with his history of play. But I think the 6-0 record is the main reason why he hasn’t been criticized in the media. If they’re 3-3 and his stats is the way they are now that drum beat of criticism would be very loud regardless of who’s hurt. I actually see DHop as a big addition for them. His game is similar to JuJu with better hands. At his age he won’t get as much yac but I don’t think they’re looking for that from him. He’s going to work the short to intermediate zone. Their game is getting 4-6 yards per play and move the sticks. Shut down defense to keep scores low. Similar to 90s smash mouth football. I’m just glad we got Cooper. It’ll be a better fight when we match up with KC. Prior to Cooper I didn’t have any confidence in our passing game to match up against their defense. And KC losing Watson, their #2 CB, is huge.
  15. I have and fully I agree. His numbers have been very pedestrian. His receiving corp is also down. What I do see when watching them is he’s still making the plays when needed in the 4th quarter to win. Their defense keeps the score close enough for the offense to strike and win in the end. That’s a deadly combo to me…especially with their offense being not optimal so far.
  16. Mahomes struggles is so misleading. His skill guys have dropped like flies. Yet he still leads the league with the highest qbr in the 4th quarter and that has helped KC to a 6-0 record. Now that they traded for Dhop they’re going to be that much tougher to beat…especially with their defense playing the way it has.
  17. I read that if they make it to the Super Bowl and he plays 60% of the snap then it becomes a 4th.
  18. Agreed. Allen and the offense didn’t bother to show up either.
  19. They’ve missed on receivers for sure. Worthy is their first round #1 receiver pick though. Hardman was a 2nd round pick. They seem to hit on OLine and defense more.
  20. We got blown out at home by that depleted Cincy team.
  21. Taylor Swift
  22. They’re going into this week’s game with Worthy, Hardman, Watson, and Sky Moore as their receivers. DHop will definitely move the needle for them.
  23. Of course it’s a team’s accomplishment. I should’ve put ‘only’ in my post. Despite that it’s also an immensely important legacy measurement for quarterbacks. Always has been. That’s not the case for any other positions on the field. No one looks at Randy Moss’ career and say if only he had won a ring he’d be viewed higher in all time receivers rankings. But people look at the purest passer during my childhood in Dan Marino and rank him lower than alot less talented quarterbacks because he never got it done. It’s what it is.
  24. As it should be for quarterbacks. Always has always will. There are some people arguing that’s a team accomplishment and not a qb accomplishment. That I don’t get for all the years I’ve watched football.
  25. Wow. Reid and Spags should’ve gotten together years ago. They could’ve had 20 Lombardi’s by now. Yeah he didn’t do that. The defender’s momentum coupled with Kareem Hunt’s push carried him to far out. Mahomes just stopped and the defender is passed him to the outside. It’s really that simple. We see Allen do it all the time.
