Against the Chiefs, in the final drive, he DID need to do more. On 2nd and 3rd downs, he threw incompletions. If Mahomes was our QB in that situation, he would have thrown a completion (or ran for a 1st down like he did in the SB multiple times), kept the drive moving downfield, and either got close enough for a chip shot FG or got the go ahead TD. If you don’t agree with the latter, you’re lying to yourself. Btw, I’m not a moron, and have been closely watching NFL football for 50+ years, so I have an “educated” opinion. OTOH, regardless of what all these stats say, people who think JA has no faults are blinded by homerism. I understand the latter, but it doesn’t make it right.

If he had a prescription for this, then I'm quite certain that he thought he was doing nothing wrong. Sounds like maybe a miscommunication between him and team doctors/trainers?

Why on earth would I donate when the 60 or so multimillionaires on the Chiefs (and/or their billionaire owner) could, and should, easily handle it?

Not being harsh on her. She probably should have waited, as I'm guessing somebody will establish some sort of charity fund that will benefit ALL of the victims, and then she could have given to that, instead of immediately jumping to give $$$ to this one family. She'll *probably* donate to that new fund too.

The shooting happened on Wednesday. Yesterday, the "authorities" went in front of the microphones and stated that they had 24 hours to charge the perps or by law, they'd have to let them go. We're now past the 24 hours and I see no "new" news, ssssoooo did they let them go?! Edit to Add: Just saw that Taylor Swift donated $100k to the family of the woman who was killed. That was very nice of her, although what about the other victims? Many of them will probably have medical bills, lost wages, physical/mental therapy bills, etc. which will amount to way more than the cost of a funeral.

After seeing the X post of Tiger somebody put up (page 3 in this thread), it sounds like JA was more concerned about getting golf technique tips rather than any "mental pointers." And just thinking about the latter, I'm not sure that topic would ever come up, nor would Tiger be able to impart anything to JA which would help, nor would JA even ask for help in that area. I mean, what could he possibly say to JA?....."You got to be more focused!" The white kid up in Michigan (Oxford HS) who shot up his school and killed 4 was FIFTEEN when he did that. How long after the shooting was it before we knew who he was? I'll save you the time of looking it up....it was WITHIN DAYS. He was a juvenile.

Wiki says this about it: 1) When the American Red Cross introduced back blows to its official guidelines on treating choking, Dr Heimlich disagreed that back blows should be used and asked that his name be removed from the guidelines. Leading to the renaming of the Heimlich maneuver as an Abdominal thrust. Weird that he disagreed on that point, since it seems that two different methods would be better than one, but I guess he had his reasons. And the Heimlich move IS the abdominal thrust move, while the back blows are just that, back blows. Not sure where I heard the lawsuit story, but it was years ago.

You can't use "Heimlich" unless you pay the Heimlich family. Years ago the American Red Cross had to stop using that name, under threat of being sued, so now they just call it the "Abdominal Thrust method." True Story.

When I saw this thread topic, I couldn't help thinking about the Peter Sellers movie, "Being There." LOL. His character was named Chauncey, and he was a gardener. Pretty good movie.

Still no suspects publicly named/identified, even though you would certainly think that there were plenty of EYEwitnesses who actually saw the shooters shooting their guns. The "official" word is that they have 3 suspects in custody and also have recovered some guns too.

The story at that link from 10 years ago is supposedly satire, but it is actually straight out truth. With as many guns as we now have in this country, there's absolutely no way to take them all away from everybody. Plus, ya know, it's actually a right (#2 in the Bill of Rights) to own a gun, granted to all of us by our Constitution. And we already have pretty good "gun laws" all over this land too, and ironically, in cities with very strict gun laws (like Chicago), it doesn’t deter criminals from using guns, at all. So again, at an OUTSIDE event, spread over a large, non-contained area, with hundreds of thousands of people there, it is absolutely impossible to prevent something like this, unless there were no guns in this country. But then, I'm sure if some nutcase really wanted to hurt people, he would just use a knife, or a vehicle (WI parade), or some other weapon.

I mean, unless there were absolutely ZERO guns in all of the United States (impossible at this point), then preventing it from "ever happening again" is impossible at an outside event like this, where hundreds of thousands of people are there. Sadly, bad and/or mentally ill people are pretty much everywhere, and no one knows for sure when one of these people will strike.

Just read a story on this at a KC tv stations website, and it had no definitive info on the weapon used, but I highly doubt that a AR15 was used due to the simple fact that NINE children were shot and none of them died. I would guess that it was at the other end of the gun chain, like a .22 caliber. Just guessing though...

You are 100% spot on. I pretty much have said this very same thing for months now about JA, in many different threads in this forum. And most of the time, most people would Roll Eyes, Red X, Laugh, Thumbs Down, or Puke at me. The reality is that a lot of Bills fans have blinders on, and think that JA can do no wrong, and anybody who dares question that narrative gets blasted.

What? No. The Bengals intercepted a Mahomes pass in OT and took it back the other way, got into FG range, and kicked the OT winner. They had lost the OT coin toss, and KC could have won it with a TD (like they did the previous game vs the Bills). You could say that their defense really won that game for them.

Or how about a 10 minute ( or even shorter) OT period? Whoever is ahead at the end wins.

Josh Allen will never hoist the Lombardi trophy, not with Bills and not with any other team.
