  1. Eagles were run out of the building by those same Chiefs. At any rate I've seen these Bills coaches consistently put top 10 defenses out there with injuries to stud players. I havent seen them able to do much of anything with limited offensive resources. So in a cap world where Josh Allen makes 40 million plus you pick your poison. I am quite confident in believing this coaching staff can do a lot more with less defensively vs. the offensive alternative.
  2. Short term this frightens me. Long Term the Jets and Dolphins are blowing their rebuild up and I love it. Bills might not finish 1st in the AFC East this year but will still make the playoffs and control the AFC East moving forward with Josh Allen. Thr Jets are hitching their wagon to a guy who is undecided on if he wants to play and who will be out of the league in 2 years. Just in time for when most of their starters on rookie deals start to get paid. Miami is blowing all their draft capital on vets who are on max contracts. They better hope they hit this year or next because Waddle and Tua contracts are coming and they have a lot of guys who are making big $$$. How do you restock the cupboard when you keep trading away high picks?
  3. That Bills playoff game gave the Dolphins serious false hope as to how close they are. The Bills were running on fumes and likely would've lost to the Jets had the Jets been the 1st Round opponent. Miami still has a linebacker problem. A major oline problem and a QB and offensive system that was being figured out by every opposing defense outside our stupid Cover 2 Zone defense before suffering his second concussion. People forget that the Niners Chargers, and Packers had that Tua Offense locked down. That Miami win late during the regular season was when I knew things were not right with this Bills team. It was too difficult for us and our defense struggled way too much after the Niners and Chargers gave us a blue print on how to beat their offense. Heck the Packers used the exact same defensive blueprint a week after and took it to Miami. For some reason we just couldn't get out of our own way late last season. Miami has serious let down written all over them. They're trying to hard to be the 2022 SuperBowl Rams but don't have Aaron Donald, The Oline and Matthew Stafford and they play in a much more loaded AFC.
  4. I'm fine with letting him walk. Edmunds. Oliver, etc are exactly the type of players who you end up overpaying and regret not replacing them with someone a quarter of the cost who can produce 85% of what they can.
  5. He's gone and that's ok. We are a coaching staff loaded with defensive minds. We should be able to find cheaper guys and scheme a solid defense. It is offense where we need to invest. We were missing chunks of our defense for most of last year and still managed to run a top 10 defense. How about just stop being so predictable in your Cover 2 Zone and run more stunts along the defensive line. Not sure how this regime can't grasp that every weapon you add is another player on the opposing defense who can't focus on our QB. Honestly we made it way to easy on opposing defenses last year.
  6. My Buffalo Bills Wall (I have a feeling Edmunds will be moved to the garage soon along with a host of other Ex Bills Jerseys)
  7. This loss wasn't that bad. Certainly not in the same realm as last years 13 seconds. Something was not right with this team all year on offense and teams have essentially figured out our defense. We need to evolve and ditch the stupid nickle, cover 2, zone defense we always run. It's obvious that good teams can easily figure it out and comfortably move the ball up and down the field on the defense. We aren't stopping the run and there are way too many soft spots for the opposing offense to pass to. Bengals had no respect for our defense and it showed when they manhandled our dline. This whole idea of running a defense that is specifically designed to not give up the big play is stupid when used vs. Burrow and Mahomes who will just pick you apart. It is irritating watching opposing qbs make comfortable passes the entire game. Zack Wilson only competent outing this season was against the Bills. Offensively we are a train wreck. We clearly wanted to introduce more passes to the RB yet never ran screens and Allen sailed alot of floaters over the middle that were missed by Singletary and Cook. Knox never got going. The oline was healthier than last seasons oline was, yet played worse down the stretch. Our oline last season weren't world beaters but they certainly performed above avg. vs. the Patriots and Chiefs last season in the playoffs. Brown never got better. Hopefully Bates is adequate back at left guard. The oline in general needs a talent boost. Gave Davis has a role on this team as a # 3 receiver. He is not a # 2. We need an actual burner across from Diggs. Slot was a mess the entire season and I am more than ok saying bye to Mckenzie for good. All in all this team needs a scheme change on offense and a talent infusion. On defense they need to play downhill more and learn to play man a lot more.
  8. NFL could've forced a forfeit. They didn't want to be the bad guy. It's an awful scenario all around. I feel for the Bengals. Almost wish they were in the NFC so we didn't have to play them. Either way a class organization who deserves a Superbowl Victory.
  9. He's here because he loves the drama and he doesn't know how to process what happened to his Bengals regarding the playoff seeding. I will admit what happened to the Bengals sucks and I'd feel the same way if the same happened to the Bills. But, Dear Lord to go to another teams forum and gripe about it shows that you clearly lack other positives in your life, your Bengals Fandom is the most important thing in your life or you're young and fortunate enough to not have a true life perspective.
  10. Are you a Bengals fan? Trying to find your angle here? What do you gain by posting this? A guy would've died had it not been for the immediate medical staff. The fact that he is going to live does not change he would have died had he not received medical attention. Here is a newsflash, the man's life was still very much in doubt until Wednesday. Stop acting like the Bills received this miracle from above that allowed them to avoid the Big Bad Bengals. DAMAR HAMLIN ALMOST DIED!!! Do you feel the Bengals got screwed? Yes they did. What do you hope to gain by lecturing us about it? Many Bills fans felt the Bills should've forfeited the game. Heck if the Bills play the Bengals 2nd Round it should be played in Cincinnati as far as I'm concerned. So I ask again what is your angle? You clearly don't give a damn about Damar Hamlin. Your only concern seems to be the Bengals seeding and are here to remind all of us Bills fans how unfair the NFL is. As for the OP. You are so wrong. Words cannot describe how wrong you are. Is this how messed up modern society has become? Apparently the show must always go on in this day and age of instant gratification. "Darn it! I need my entertainment and results and I need it now!" People whine about snowflakes without realizing they're the snowflakes. Apparently everybody has become so busy playing the victim that no one understands what true compassion means anymore. Thank You McDermott for being an adult and a Grounded Man in a situation that required it. As a first responder whose had to deal with some awful situations I am glad you were there for Damar Hamlin, the Buffalo Bills, and the unselfish members of Bills Mafia.
  11. As he should. For the mental well being of the Bills.
  12. Good. Give it to them. No Buffalo Bills fan whose ever experienced true loss or pain gives two you know what's right now if the Chiefs walk away with 1st place in the AFC after tonight. Damar Hamlin and his family is all anyone should be concerned about.
  13. Ryan Clark and Scott Van Pelt were dignified, professional, and quite honestly were above and beyond what could be expected from Sports Media. Thoughts and Prayers to Damar Hamlin. At this point I dont care what they do with this game. Forfeit for all I care. Just get this kid ok so he can live a full, long, and healthy life.
  14. Ranking who I least want to play to most minus the Chiefs and Bengals. 1. Jets - Divisional opponent who are the best in the league at shutting down our offense. Part of me thinks they'd be a tougher out than KC playing in Buffalo. Bengals remain to be seen. 2. Dolphins - Same thing. They can quick score and are not intimidated by playing in Buffalo. Their defense leaves alot to be desired but they can still create havoc upfront. That offense can score at anytime. 3. Jaguars/Chargers - Both are southern teams getting their first playoff taste. I am nervous about the potential of both offenses but ultimately I think the Bills fair better when facing opponents who are unfamiliar with us. Not sure if either Lawrence or Herbert have played in brutal cold weather games. 5. Ravens - Their offense was going cold while Lamar was still healthy. Their defense is stout but they don't match up anywhere near as well with us as the Jets. They're more in the New England mold of having a disciplined defense. That style of defense doesn't get the job done against Josh Allen. He's too good at improvising when plays break down. (The Jets are an athletic defense full of ballers who are on the hunt) 6. Patriots and Titans - Titans are an utter wreck and the Patriots simply don't have the horses to beat Josh Allen on defense and their offense is pathetic.
  15. This sets up to be a pretty even match up. Bengals receivers are no joke and the Bills have proven time and again we are incapable of shutting down a true # 1 receiver which Chase is. Burrow is definitely in the same group as Mahomes and Allen. I would like to have more knowledge on how the Bengals handle mobile QBs. I struggle to underrate any defense that has beat Mahomes three times. All in all I really would rather win and have KC and Cincinnati throw down in Round 2.
  16. My dream would be a Chargers - Chiefs First Round Match Up. But alas the Chiefs will finish 2nd at worst and the Chargers are destined for 5th or 6th and they will avoid one another.
  17. Yes it is outrageous. New England has a God awful offense. Their defense hasnt shut down one decent offensive team all season unless you count the second half of last weeks Bengals game where Burrow went to sleep or the Lions. That Lions team is not the same team we have seen the past 7 weeks. The Patriots are essentially the same team as last year. The one the Bills obliterated. Miami is tumbling down the finish line but the threats are at least there with Hill and Waddle. This isn't about who the Bills match up with worse. I personally believe neither New England or Miami comes into Buffalo and beats them. (Only the Jets could in the AFC East) This about who can give KC or Cincinnati an actual game with an outside chance at an upset. New England is well behind both Miami and the Jets in this case. At least in my humble opinion.
  18. Its called hyperbole and its born out of my frustration of the Chiefs continously waltzing to the AFC Final with zero obstacles in their way outside the Bills last year. Chiefs easily have the worst defense of any AFC playoff team that isn't the Chargers. Miami is not a good match up for them. Give me Waddle and Hill against a rookie secondary all day vs. whatever the Patriots attempt to do. The Jets become the most difficult opponent if they get White back at QB. Jets scare me more than Miami, simply because a grind-it-out game is almost inevitable with them regardless of the opponent. Either way both the Dolphins and Jets you have to game plan for vs. the Patriots who will simply fall apart eventually offensively.
  19. We are finishing 1st or 3rd. We will not finish 2nd. Therefore we either get the bye week or play Baltimore or the Chargers. Anyone cheering for the Patriots to be the sacrificial lamb for either the Bengals or Chiefs is a fool. Miami can at least put a scare into either of those teams and Hill has extra motivation to go off vs. Kansas City. A big part of why Mahomes played so damn well against last year is because he played Pittsburgh the week before instead of the Chargers. I dont want KC or Cincinnati having a freebie in the first round. That is exactly what the Patriots are. A freebie. Sure their defense might do enough to keep the game close for a bit but everyone knows that offense is going to implode Miami can at least quick strike and put some fear into both those team's and not have them looking ahead to the 2nd round where they can prepare for Buffalo two weeks in advance.
  20. Not concerned with our run defense. Bills play Nickel and teams will do anything to get them out of Nickel. Dline is much superior to last season. Hamlin is learning and getting better. Better corner play would make his job easier. Whats hurting the Bills lately is the offense is not leaning into it enough. Bills defense is at its best when opposing offenses are petrified of what our offense can do and are forced to be one dimensional. That 3rd quarter our offense was putting on a clinic in stupidity. That gave Miami life to find a way back into the game. The good news is unlike last season the Bills will be better equipped to deal with what comes there way. Too many scrub qbs and layup wins last season which gave that defense a false sense of security. This year the defense has been pressed in every way and they have a much better understanding of how talented offenses will attack them. As always it will always come down to Josh Allen.
  21. Maybe I am wrong then. Either way the Bears totally gutted that defense and I'd like to think the Bills know a thing or two about defending mobile QBs, considering we have one and have always done a decent job of locking down Lamar.
  22. Justin Fields might not be playing
  23. I think the Chargers are even less equipped to walk into Buffalo and win in the cold. Dolphins defense can get after it. Chargers cannot. Bills match up better against the Chargers offense than the Dolphins. Herbert aside.
  24. # 1 Seed will matter for three reasons in my opinion. 1. The obvious which is a bye week and an extra week to get healthy. 2. Avoiding the Chiefs and Bengals in Round 2. 3. That 2nd seed is going to end up playing either Miami or the Jets. The last two teams id want to face in Round 1. The Jets have the best defense in the AFC and can cause problems for any offense. The Dolphins can catch lightning in a bottle and take off at any point and have a dline that can get after the QB. Neither team has the horses to make a Superbowl run, but both sure as heck can steal a game vs. anyone in the AFC.
  25. I'll say this. Given the idiotic simplicity of what is main stream sports media the Chiefs are not overhyped. After this weekend all you'll hear is how Buffalo barely beat a Florida team in the snow and how a one win team took the Chiefs to OT. The true overhyped team is the Bengals. They will now be seen as the AFC favorite. All week we are going to hear about how Burrow came back to beat the Great Tom Brady and that the Bengals are the defending AFC Champion.
