  1. Not saying how good Cook is/isn't but these are two good points. Josh is a great QB and virtually everyone on the team benefits statistically by playing with him... and stats can be misleading.
  2. I'm not gonna argue/hijjack @GunnerBill but my original point was part and parcel with my later point. It's all one. Bad kicker forcing the Bills to go for it more often > passing the point of diminishing retuns = zero silver lining Restated, there's zero true benefit to having an undependable kicker. The last word can be yours.
  3. That might have been the Schoen's plan. It'll be interesting to see if he was right or if this is Gettelman/Saquon II. Yeah the jury is still out on Schoen/Daboll. You can bet that the Vikes are praying that's the case. Some internet guy calling himself "The Thigh Doctor" said the treatment is amputation. That or assassination... I always get those words confused.
  4. The "yips" are a real thing. Former Mets catcher Mackey Sasser reached a point where he couldn't toss the ball back to the pitcher after a pitch. I think I read where he had to work with a psychotherapist to overcome the problem. It could be concentration or it could be psychological. It could also be that he needs to see an eye doctor... incredibly that is sometimes an issue even in pro sports. I think the word is "quietly" not "sneaky."
  5. Maybe I take "silver lining" to have a different meaning than some others. To me it means that ultimately there is an overall benefit. Maybe to others it means that it's not as bad as it first appears... mitigation.
  6. I'd like to see the analytics on it. If you always go for it in coin flip situations you run past the point of diminishing returns and if the Bills already go for it more than all but 4 teams they're probably close to that point.
  7. Saying that it's good for a team (that goes for it more than 27 other teams in "coin flip situations") to go for it even more is an assertion with no proof. Making strategic decisions based on not trusting your field goal kicker has no silver lining.
  8. Are you sure we haven't had any good returners within the last 8 years?
  9. Idiotic take by Tompsett. Does he think we're going to go through the whole season without having to attempt an important field goal?
  10. Well you can't have too many good pass rushers... that's for sure.
  11. Well he provides a lot of "content." "Tyreek Hill wants to be porn star after NFL career" "Tyreek Hill fires the f**king bonehead who filed divorce docs" "Tyreek Hill says he's still married despite divorce filing" "Tyreek Hill involved in clash at comedy gig, escalates after departure" "Tyreek Hill sued, model claims he broke her leg in fit of rage during football drill" "Tyreek Hill says model broke leg tripping over dog, not enraged drill" "Video shows Tyreek Hill swatting at man during boat altercation" "Tyreek Hill house fire causes $2.3 million in damages"
  12. I think the only way it happens is if it's a big charitable eevent.
  13. It's not only how hard Olympic-caliber sprinters work but also how specialized their training is. Hill meanwhile devotes his energies to other things: https://www.tmz.com/search/?q=tyreek+hill
  14. Interesting that your proposed trade of Reddick for Rousseau received 1 positive vs 12 negative reactions, and 2 laughing emojis.
  15. Remember the Bills drafted Jake Fromm in the 5th round in 2020. He's the only QB they've drafted since Josh. There's a school of thought that you draft a promising QB any time you get the opportunity. On the other hand that pick was also a bit of a head scatcher at the time. Regardless, maybe use one of their 2 4th rounders next year on a QB? There's lots of differing opinions here about how to address backup QB... it boils down to developmental player vs experienced vet. Jake Fromm notwithstanding is drafting one the answer? Remember that Frank Reich was a 3rd round pick 3 years after the Bills drafted Kelly. Remember that he was 4-4 for the Bills in the regular season and 2-0 in the playoffs. In addition he was a big part of Jim Kelly's success. So I think it does matter who your backup is. Maybe a mid-round pick is the way to go. I wish the Bills were a bit more solid at backup QB but it's probably a matter of cost. Regardless I'm not feeling great about Trubisky... he should be better than he is.
  16. Beane wanted to mix in some easy cuts.
  17. Dominic DeNucci 18 Ben DiNucci 13
  18. Actually the Bills drafted Jake Fromm in the 5th round 2 years after drafting Josh Allen. Coincidentally the Lions signed Fromm just today. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/lions-sign-qb-jake-fromm
  19. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominic_DeNucci "DeNucci debuted in New York City in 1967. On June 18, 1971, DeNucci won his first World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) title, the WWWF International Tag Team Championship, with Bruno Sammartino by defeating The Mongols (Bepo and Geto Mongol).[5]They lost the title to The Mongols three days later."

  21. So... No on the Personal Seat Licenses?
  22. I believe all the rookie 1st round QBs looked very good in their debuts. This could be the best QB class ever. He couldn't process the Shanahan Offense. He was not picking it up.
