  1. Maybe im wrong. Or maybe its regional? Im honestly not sure. My understanding was that open bar is a (relatively) new phenomenon. Most people I knew back in the day could not afford open bar, and also it was frowned upon because religion had a much stronger grip on society. I looked it up and as of last year, only 62% of weddings had an open bar.
  2. Same! Large italian family and my papa owned one of the first liquor stores in a suburb of Buffalo. Wine was an every day thing. But yeah, open bar is a relatively new thing. It started becoming popular in the late 80's and early 90's. Before that, the vast majority of weddings were cash bar
  3. You must be young! Weddings without an open bar (cash bar) were the *norm* until about 25 or so years ago. Having an open bar in the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's was quite rare. Of course, weddings were not the extravaganza that they have become today. But even today, only about 60% of weddings have an open bar.
  4. I kinda assumed the whole team would be there.
  5. Law is another that I fear for. Depositions that take young lawyers all day can be written in 3 minutes by AI. Including deep research into past cases!
  6. When making more than $60 million per year, it’s hard for anyone to have a bad week. Still, last week was not ideal for Commissioner Roger Goodell. "In a conversation with John Ourand of Puck, ESPN.com’s Seth Wickersham said that an extension will happen — but that owners want Goodell to focus on a succession plan. 'Owners would like to have a better sense of the bench,' Wickersham told Ourand. The problem is that there isn’t much of a bench. And, frankly, there’s been a trend in recent years that, once an in-house name emerges as a potentially viable candidate to become the next commissioner, the person ends up not sticking around much longer. From Dean Blandino to Chris Halpin to Tod Leiweke to Maryann Turcke, they came, they saw, and they were gone long before they could conquer." https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/succession-plan-hovers-over-roger-goodells-contract-situation
  7. I genuinely dont understand how billion dollar projects with very intelligent engineers do not foresee these problems. Its part of the reason why im skeptical when people assume that the Bills stadium engineers have thought of some of the potential issues we bring up.
  8. This may come down to a difference of how people define the phrase "cheap shot". I've always thought of a cheap shot as an intent to injure - or, at least not caring if the other player was injured. I don't think Poyer was intending to injure.
  9. We are headed rapidly toward a universal basic income out of necessity. With so many laid off, and literally no need for their particular knowledge, they will have little to no value in the job market. I dont know how that is resolved outside of a UBI.
  10. Very interesting. https://www.axios.com/2025/05/28/ai-jobs-white-collar-unemployment-anthropic
  11. The 80% number is total nonsense. https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/topic/253817-psl-pricingseat-selection-discussion/#findComment-9627025
  12. Or it means they’re fibbing. The report was they were at 58% (or something like that) a few months ago. Regardless, it will eventually sell out. The easiest way to sell tickets is to tell everyone that “they’re going fast!” Creates demand and makes people think twice about leaving the timeshare meeting without purchasing. And because Pete is not “advertising” (just giving an interview), he is under no obligation to tell the full truth.
  13. I have been looking for a good source of LSD. Where did you get yours?
  14. Peak Buffalo Bills . com Peak Two Bills Drive . com
  15. Maybe it’s the same with every stadium but it sure feels like everything we do is such amateur hour.
  16. I went to our last Panthers game in 2017 when Zay Jones dropped the game winning TD/first down with a few seconds left. Their club is very nice. Carpeted concourse, some parts have A/C, etc. I would suggest that area. Most Backer groups buy the cheapest tickets possible which put you starting directly in the Carolina sun and its HOT.
  17. Dont tell anyone but the real play is to buy them on your phone about 15 minutes before kickoff. You can literally stand by the entrance gate and nab a ridiculously low (relative) priced ticked.
  18. Not only that, but fans tend to downplay their own players issues. If Coleman was drafted by, say, the Dolphins, the same folks defending him in this thread would be trashing him. Bias is very hard to overcome.
  19. To quote Beane - there is testing speed and there is football speed. Paint dries faster than it takes Coleman to make it down a football field.
  20. Because you cant fix slow as molasses.
  21. Didn’t know this. Do you remember why?
  22. They certainly don’t need it for the tickets anymore. They’ll sell regardless. But I do think it’s a mistake to leave Rochester. The team is truly regional. They’re less the Buffalo Bills as they are the Western New York Bills. Wish they kept it in Rochester.
  23. I don’t know how you see it that way. TB is a good team. Pitt was a playoff team with Justin Fields and Wilson (and they’ll be adding Rodgers) And Miami is 3-1 against the Jets the last two years (with their only win coming in a Week 18 matchup where Tua didnt play)
  24. Wow the Jets are gonna be 1-3 or 0-4.
