  1. Gunner's opinion on this topic leans toward mine.
  2. Teams don't draft players based on the evidence they see from college tape. They base their decision on 0 NFL games or starts. Some of us are better at seeing the talent level of players than others.
  3. He never said "bust". But I will. The guy is a bust.
  4. Hope not. I'm completely over the Damar Hamlin stuff.
  5. Ok we can wrap him in puffy blankets then.
  6. Happy 50th anniversary….
  7. It would be pretty funny...
  8. (Edit: I see someone posted this yesterday, but I just saw it) It is starting to unravel. Turns out that Oher wrote in his book (from 2011!) that he knew about the conservatorship. In the book, he wrote: "Since I was already over the age of eighteen and considered an adult by the state of Tennessee, Sean and Leigh Anne would be named as my 'legal conservators,'"
  9. Injuries didn't derail the Bills. They certainly didn't help, but the team was smoked either way.
  10. It is not all ESPN's fault that they suck. ESPN's issues are entangled with broader industry trends and societal shifts. The network has lost 25 million homes since 2013, which is a staggering number and has been impacted by the decline of traditional pay TV and a shift in viewership patterns. This loss forced ESPN to pivot away from its core strength of insightful reporting and analysis, which no longer attracted sufficient viewership. Instead, the network embraced shock-TV personalities like Stephen A. Smith and prioritized viral videos and contentious debates, which are strategies that initially increased engagement but eventually led to a decline in quality content. ESPN is now at a point where: 1) No one needs the channel for highlights, since YouTube and other video sharing websites exist. 2) We are a 10-second society and insightful sports reporting tends to draw low numbers. 3) People are tired of debate-tv and shock jock personalities. The network's primary viewership source has thus become live sports, which is what many posters in this thread have indicated (that live games are their sole reason for utilizing ESPN). This reliance on live sports presents a conundrum: How can a channel produce high-quality content when the audience's primary interest is live sports, yet the network must fill 18+ hours of additional airtime to accommodate advertisements that fund those live broadcasts? It is not an easy question to answer. I don't envy ESPN's execs.
  11. Surprised they know this already. It just happened 20 or so minutes ago.
  12. This guy has literally *never* had a full season. In 10 attempts! 0 full seasons. Love that the Dolphins gave this guy $75M.
  13. This is true. Think about it OP. As you pointed out, the Bills had the worst LG in the NFL last season. The reason we never benched him is because we had literally no one else better.
  14. You are echoing what I have been saying for months. The Jets were 7-4 going into December last season. They were a QB away from being a playoff team. They have fantastic RB’s, a very good young WR, a HOF quarterback, the best CB in the NFL (who also has the refs under his thumb, one of the best DT’s in the league, and good d-line depth. They also beat us once last year (despite being handicapped with a very poor Zach Wilson at QB), and kept us to under 200 yards passing in both games (even the one where we won). I think a lot of Bills fans are in denial about that Jets team and it will be a fight for the division until Week 17.
  15. Yeah, that was rough. Most interesting part of the entire video was Josh and Bass talking about how it's difficult to tell the wind patterns in the stadium.
  16. This stinks of Oher wanting a Payday. The Tuohy is far wealthier than Oher ever was and ever will be. Why would a family that sold their company for the equivalent of $385 MILLION dollars, need to gain a few extra million from Oher? It is nonsensical. We are not talking about wealthy people. We are talking about uber rich people.
  17. Yep, that’s definitely some fences and dirt. Just kidding, thanks for posting.
  18. I know who you mean, but seeing “Allen” in this sentence still upsets me a little. 😂
  19. You're on to something here. We could arrange a three-team greyhound contract that ensure every team gets what they deserve. The players that Carolina, Buffalo and NY don't want... get sent right to South Beach.
  20. Even if it was one dollar… the fact is that I as a taxpayer am a stakeholder in the stadium. This is called an Appeal to Futility and it is very dangerous. Appeal to futility is a problematic rhetorical tactic that can stifle progress and innovation. By insisting that efforts are in vain and won't lead to any meaningful change, it dissuades people from taking action or exploring different perspectives. Historically, this fallacy has been employed to thwart vital social movements and significant personal decisions. By negating the power of collective or personal action, the appeal to futility restricts growth and undermines core democratic principles. It's a flawed and detrimental way to engage in discourse.
  21. And that’s the correct viewpoint to have considering that you are not paying for it. But for those of us who are paying for it, I believe we have the right to be critical of the fact that our dollars are not, in our opinion, being efficiently spent.
  22. I agree Indy is sterile. But you feel that Minnesota’s stadium (photo below) is sterile?
  23. In what ways do you feel that the new stadium will be significantly better for game-day experience? Here is what I have considered: - Wider concourses will nicer for fans to move through. - Newer bathrooms will be nice. - The overhang will be nice for those who are actually shielded by it (none of the lower bowl, it appears). - We currently have one of the best sight line stadiums in the NFL, and it blows away the sight lines of newer stadiums, so I don’t see that being much better. Nothing sterile about this: Bright, airy, temperature-controlled, loud, comfortable…
