Now that is solid info!

Yep. Difference is that Favre didn’t go to a Jets team with a great RB, exciting young WR, and best defense in the NFL.
-
I have colleagues that can pull hot woman in the bar after 10pm. I can’t. Looking at their great track record doesn’t help my misfortune. Beane has shown himself incapable of drafting great players in the 2nd. Doesn’t matter what other GM’s have done.
-
Wouldn’t be shocked at all if they make a run for the SB. That defense is scary good. Unlike the Bills top 5 defenses that have been a lot of smoke and mirrors, the Jets defense is the real deal. They don’t even need HOF Rodgers. They just need “slight above average” Rodgers. Jets lost 7 games last season where they scored 12 of less points. They lost 5 games where the Jets defense gave up 20 or less points. If Rodgers just is average. Scores 20 points per game. The Jets will be extremely hard to beat.

If you’re spent, you don’t think a week off would help? That’s basically the entire benefit of the 1st seed.
-
Wish they did it in 2022. We would have had the 1 seed
-
No other way around it, this blows. They have an incredible defense. Great RB. Exciting young WR. And now a HOF QB. If Rodgers can just put up 20 points per game, that’s a playoff team.

Right on. You missed the worst part though - It’s filthy. I own a home in Florida and fly down there often. I avoid the Orlando airport as much as possible. Tampa (TPA) is significantly better. If you fly private, KORL is fine.

I started a “hey ey ey” chant in the hot dog shop on main st In Disney World a few years back and it’s one of my favorite memories. A loud “ey ey ey” echoed back. I imagine that you would be cringing

DHopkins would cost a 2nd round pick...would you do it?

I'd trade ANY of Beanes 2nd round pick for Dhop. That's Cody Ford, AJ Epenesa, Basham, and Dalvins family member. -
Sean McDermott excited about calling the Defense

This strategy, statistically, is proven to result in many many years of "always the bridesmaid and never the bride". Oh, and wasted franchise QB careers. -

There was Marty, who was fired after a 14-2 season. And Pederson, who was fired 2 years after winning the Super Bowl. Also Dungy, who was fired after making the playoffs but losing in the wild card round. Or Nagy, who was fired 2 years after going 12-4 and winning Head Coach of the Year. In fact, 9 of the last 15 Head Coach of the Year have been fired. I think McDermotts ice is thinner than most realize. Are they ridiculous expectations though? History and statistics are on our (the pessimists) side. Of the 33 head coaches to win at least one Super Bowl, 29 of them won their first Super Bowl within the first five seasons with that team. Meaning, McDermott would have to buck history. Defy statistics. He would have to fit within the 12% of coaches who have done it after five years of being with the team. -
The SB losses were a low blow, but aside from that, Shady is right.

Same. Kind-of on Shady’s side here.

I could say the same to you, no? The only evidence you have is McDermott not admitting it more than once. . -

Thats literally called circumstantial evidence. Entire cases have been won on circumstantial evidence such as “the camera saw the defendants car driving on the same road the victim was later found”. Just like your “the coach only admitted it once and therefore it is once” claim. Actually, that argument is a logical fallacy - a mixture of appeal to ignorance and hasty generalization. . -

The media has asked him about it since. So they’ve seen it. And if you go on Twitter and search, thousands of other fans have seen it. I think you meant to say; “Well, I didn’t see it!” -

they have… Several times since then. I especially remember in 2020 (or 2021?) because McD was asked and he responded by saying that he’s not going to answer those type of questions anymore. Probably because of the flack he got when he answered honestly in 2018. I do love how your go-to proof was “the pressure doesn’t ask me about it” though, lol. -

He’s my favorite poster on this forum but he truly does not appear to understand the difference between “evidence” and “proof”. Which is funny because his only evidence isn’t proof either :). -

I don’t need to watch every other NFL coach to know what’s normal for McDermott. McDermott spends most of the season with his hands on his hips or clapping. He rarely ever has a play sheet in his hand. When he does, it is RARE. Unusual. Strange. Not normal. What another coach does is irrelevant to what is unusual for McDermott. It is even more unusual for McDermott to have that play sheet up around his mouth, as he presumably calls plays. Circumstantial evidence is evidence. -

No more flawed than “McDermott only admitted it once and therefore it must be once”. Except the majority of the time, he is NOT looking at it. Or putting it over his mouth to talk into the headset. That’s why it’s so odd when he DOES do that. It’s a big difference from his normal. It’s obvious. The camera goes to him. Fans key in on it, because it’s abnormal for him. You seem to be confusing “evidence” with “absolute proof”. Evidence is just anything that can be used to point to a hypothesis. Entire cases have been won and lost based on circumstantial evidence, which is evidence that simply shows other facts (like McDermott rarely holding the play sheet over his mouth and talking) but does not in itself prove the hypothesis.
