  1. I’ve mentioned this before, but people are so stuck on defending anything the Bills do that they refuse to see the problem. We are spending nearly $1B in taxpayer money for a stadium, PLUS another $100M per year for renovations, PLUS we get downgraded to the smallest stadium (seating capacity) in the NFL, and there is no protection that i’ve seen, stopping a wealthy owner from doing a buyout and moving them. Its such a bad deal.
  2. It wouldn’t shock me. Ive always been under the impression that Kim would be the full-time owner for the next 30+ years as Terry is in his 70’s. If Kim does not come back, that leaves the running of the tram to his children. Only 1 of which i’ve ever seen involved with the Bills in any meaningful way. How do we know him? How many times have you met him? I have only once. I don’t know him at all. Reporters likely know him more than fans do. We only see his public persona.
  3. As I said, that isn’t cash. It’s counting the new infrastructure (such as roads) required around new Walmart stores, employees getting public assistance, tax credits, etc. Not cash given to Walmart by the government to open stores. Not even remotely relatable to the nearly $1B in cash equivalent the Bills are receiving.
  4. McDuffie missed around 40% of the season due to an injury. Thats part of the reason the KC pass D was bad. But McDuffie himself was very good. It will take tremendous strides this upcoming season for Elam to even catch up to where McDuffie was last year.
  5. With those coaching staff, I don’t see it. We were decimated at CB last year and there were stretches where Elam struggled to see the field more than 1/3rd of the time.
  6. Why does it not surprise me that the Bills allegedly want another tiny receiver.
  7. Yep and if you watch the behind the scenes footage of when the Chiefs moved up, the shock on Beane and Grays face was incredible. I'm actually surprised they didn't edit that part out. Beane also said that Elam was the last player with a 1st round grade on their board. Which either means they had McDuffie graded higher OR they had McDuffie as a 2nd round grade. Which might be even worse, considering how great of a rookie season he had. A friend of mine who reports on the Bills say the Bills had the players graded fairly evenly. Taking that info into account, combined with what Beane said about Elam being their last first round grade, plus the video of them being shocked when KC moved up, tells me that the Bills would have taken McDuffie.
  8. Denial isn't just a river in Egypt
  9. Some posters will deny this, but I 100% believe that this is what happened. Bills wanted McDuffie.
  10. Immediate impact with a WR? I wouldn't be so sure, at all. Diggs & Davis are locked in at the top 2 spots. Shakir is #3. Hardy is locked in at slot. Only chance a WR gets on the field much is if we are in 4 or 5 WR sets. Look how little we used Shakir last year.
  11. Not a natural route runner, sure, but pass catcher? Dude has amazing hands.
  12. The more I research this player, the more I like this pick. A monstrous 6'7 player that some people think could even be a linemen if he put on weight, but runs a 4.5 and has incredible hands. Is a powerful blocker, so would help our average o-line, and huge frame for contested redzone catches. I would much much much prefer the upside of this player (he could take the league by storm, ala Gronkowski) over another standard 6 foot WR, that even at full potential, isnt going to be much better than "good". EDIT; 4.6 actually - not 4.5
  13. That’s the thing - I don’t see any round 1 talents past pick 23 or so. We are getting bad value either way. No way Hyatt is even a #1 pick in many draft years. In fact, I think there is a good chance he slips to the top of the 2nd round. I think Washington goes in that 25 to 42 range. Not very often is there a gargantuan 6’7 tight end that some think could even be an offensive lineman, but also has incredible catching skills (even if underutilized in college). I think he could eventually be much better than Knox, and may take the league by storm. edit: Matt Miller says there are only 19 first round talents in this draft. So maybe I was being optimistic by saying 23.
  14. Great work as usual, but i’d rather have even Darnell Washington over Hyatt.
  15. Well said. It completely lacks charm. A truly terrible design.
  16. Source? Don't think that happened. You might be able to find money going towards improvements of roads, or tax credits - but I see no evidence of the government giving Walmart billions to build stores. Again, source? This is much much much much different than cash. Getting a tax credit to reduce the tax burden on a businesses land to incentivize them to come or stay, is way different than handing them a check for nearly $1 billion dollars.
  17. Brady had won 3 Super Bowl’s before the DB rule change occurred and before the league began to crack down on QB hits. Thats the most impressive part. Brady won SB’s in BOTH era’s. Remember when Nate Clements knocked Brady’s block off? One of the most savage QB hits in memory and Brady won the SB that same year.
  18. Nothing against Montana, but anyone downgrading Brady is just hating. His sustained excellence for 20 years will never be seen again.
  19. the odd thing with Kelce is you rarely see him make an insane catch. he's just always open. wide open. every down.
  20. This. He's not good. lol. Close! One of the lowest rated LB's in the NFL last season. Mostly because he is terrible as a pass defender. Doesn't fit our defense at all.
  21. Lamar has been rebuffing the Ravens attempt sign him for YEARS now. At the end of the 2020 season, the Ravens tried to negotiate a contract with Lamar and he wouldn't do it. May 1 2021: DeCosta (Ravens GM) says he’ll “work tirelessly to get a deal done,” and that, with the NFL draft over, “we’ve got other things now on our plate, and Lamar Jackson is one of those things.” May 26 2021: At organized team activities, making his first comments since the 2020 season ended, Jackson says he’s spoken with DeCosta about a contract extension. June 16 2021: Jackson then switches it up and says he’s “not really focused on [negotiations] right now." Lamar could have had a contract the last 2 years. That's why everyone keeps bringing up the last 2 years. This former NFL agent says the same thing:
  22. I genuinely don’t think he understands. He keeps talking about how Lamar will make more on the transition tag this year than Allen, ignoring the previous 2 year payday. Ravens offered Lamar a huge deal in 2021. He also says Lamar’s deal is independent of Allen’s, despite the Ravens offering Lamar a contract worth more than Allen’s. He also compared Lamar’s strategy to Kirk, which isn’t the same as Kirk played under franchise tags, not transition tags, which is a large monetary difference, AND Kirk wasn’t being offered the second largest QB contract in the league and turning it down. I genuinely think he is just ignorant in this particular conversation.
  23. I can’t tell if you genuinely don’t understand this concept or if you’re just trolling, so i’ll just let it go.
  24. Because that money is already lost. Even if he signs a monster deal now, he can’t catch up because even if it’s $40M more than Allen’s, that just breaks him even, and he’ll be under contract for 2 years longer than Allen because he dragged his feet. His best case scenario is he breaks even with what he could have gotten (assuming a $40M offset), and doesn’t hit free agency until 2 years after the other QB’s in his draft class.
  25. Which would be still be nearly $40M less than if he had signed. There is no way for Lamar to catch up to where he would have been. It’s impossible.
