  1. @newcam2012 Why are you X’ing every positive post? You don’t think we can win this game? Have you seen KC this year? They struggled just like we have. We can beat this team and I think we will.
  2. Well written. The fact of that matter is that there are a certain number of people who will not believe anything unless McDermott walked up to the podium and announced “every word is true”. Outside of that, they will make up every excuse to deny what is written. Sources shouldn’t have been anonymous (which is nuts), he should have written positive things too, he has a vendetta against McD despite not working for the Bills in nearly a decade, etc.
  3. A very tiny history. In his decade plus of writing, he reported on the Bills for only 2 years. TWO. He was a Packers reporter for 4 years. He isn’t writing hit pieces on LaFleur. In the last 2 months he has interviewed players in Cinci, Denver, Washington, etc. He isn’t writing hit pieces on their coaches. It just seems absurd to me. He hasn’t even lived in the STATE for the entirety of McD’s tenure.
  4. He was a Bills reporter for only 2 total years. That is 1 year between 2010 and 2011. And 1 year between 2015 and 2016. McDermott was still in Carolina when Dunne reported here The entirety of McDermotts tenure in Buffalo, Dunne has been a national NFL writer … but he hates McDermott for some contentious time he had with the organization BEFORE McDermott arrived? Nonsensical.
  5. Yet not a single other head coach - including those who have coached for FAR longer than McDermott - have an article like this about them. I don’t know why some of you think a highly respected reporter like Dunne, who reports on the entire NFL, would have some vendetta against small-city Bills coach McDermott. Why wouldn’t he be just as likely to do this for Belichick? Or Payton? Or Caroll? It’s nonsensical. .
  6. Agreed. Looking back on the situation with a greater understanding of McD based on the article, I wonder if McD was jealous of Daboll’s relationship with Allen. I don’t think McD is a bad man. I really don’t. I believe he is not able to relate to people like he wishes he could (which created some insecurity). I can relate to that feeling. He likely doesn’t even realize that he is a problem. For 25 different people to speak out against a coach is alarming. No other head coach is being bashed other like this. None. Zip. Nada. Zero. This is abnormal. There is clearly an issue here that is not happening (at least to this level) elsewhere.
  7. Can't help but think the Steelers are out of the playoff picture. No QB, have lost to 2-win teams in back-to-back weeks, and have Indi, Cinci, Seattle and Baltimore left. I'd be surprised if they didn't lose at least 2 of those. The Bengals are likely done as well. They have Indi, Minnesota, Pitt, KC and Cleveland left. If I am correct in my assumption about Pittsburgh and Cinci, that leaves Cleveland, Indi, Houston, Denver and Buffalo flighting for 3 spots.
  8. That’s an excellent thought that didn’t occur to me.
  9. That’s the only reason i’m really mad about this. I hope it galvanizes the team instead of distracts them.
  10. You’re purposefully ignoring his mentions on ESPN, NY Times, Sports Illustrated, Yahoo, PFT, Adam Schefter, etc. Also ignoring his 1 on 1 interviews with dozens upon dozens of current and former NFL players. In the last two months alone, he has been with Kurt Warner, Orlando Brown Jr, Wyatt Teller, and KJ Osborn. Where do you think he got these sources? Why do you think they trust him? PS, Here is the NFL editor for USA Today talking about how good Dunne is: If you want to pretend that he isnt widely respected, that’s fine. It just makes you wrong.
  11. At least this thread is outing all the McDermott burner accounts 😀
  12. This post could be summed up as: “I won’t believe anything unless McDermott himself says it. Or at least a current assistant that will go on the record and talk about his current boss.”
  13. If you listen closely, you can hear the faint echo of all the players/coaches sticking up for McDermott and stating that the article is full of falsehoods.
  14. That makes sense. Organizations are credentialed (and therefore the employees). Not individual writers. For example, if Joe Buscaglia left The Athletic, he would lose his credentials and have to re-credential with whatever organization he went to.
  15. Ahh, you're playing the semantic game. Ok, ill rephrase. The fact that he could find 25 coaches, players, personnel men and other team sources that were willing to say such damning things about a coach who has only been a head coach for 6 years... that speaks volumes by itself.
  16. Why do people think Dunne asked for credentials? He is a National NFL writer. Why would he ask for a Bills credential? I don't think Adam Schefter has a Bills credential either...
  17. I'm not sure why you say these things when you're not actually sure. Dunne is extremely well respected. He was a National NFL Writer for Bleacher Report for nearly half a decade, a Packers reporter, and a Bills reporter. His writing has been sourced by the NY Times, Yahoo, Sports Illustrated, ESPN, etc. He also has an amazing number of sources. His articles from the past month include one-on-one interviews with Bengals Pro Bowl LT Orlando Brown, Broncos starting S Bell, the QB coach for Jake Browning, Texans WR Robert Woods, etc. He is in the top tier of writers.
  18. He does. The article was based on the interviews of 25 players/coaches.
  19. Even if this were true, the fact that he could find 25 coaches and players that were willing to say such damning things about a coach who has only been a head coach for 6 years... that speaks volumes by itself.
  20. I have no doubts that the story is legitimate. 1) Dunne is a highly respected writer with an immense number of sources. He would not jeopardize his career to bash a random coach. 2) Much of what was written in the article is what we have seen and assumed for many years. It matches. 3) McKenzie publicly spoke about some of this. Those who believe its made up simply want to believe its made up.
  21. is every whistleblower article a hit peace in your opinion?
