Beasley will get open underneath, catch the ball and fall over. This is what he has to offer at this point. I can’t really see how that is an upgrade on Shakir, but I guess the coaches see them practice every day and know better than I do.
Would love the Pats to lose to a backup (who didn’t even get first team practice reps this week) while fighting for their playoff lives.
It would be completely demoralizing.
Who remembers the “Root for the Playoff” threads on the old BBMB? The poster that would always post them had a South Park character for his avatar I think.
I remember following those during the drought until the end of the season when the scenarios become more and more improbable.
Beasley is washed. You could see it last year, where he had zero YAC ability.
Coaches need to get over their rookie trust issues and get Shakir in the slot.
He’s being overly conservative, but we’re winning games because he isn’t turning it over. That might be the best course of action considering our lack of playmakers.
I think Allen throws just fine in snow and light wind. It’s probably an advantage against most teams because of his strong arm. Think of Mac against the Bills in the playoffs last year.
Our offense doesn’t do well in the rain or heavy wind, so hopefully those conditions stay away. If we could run the ball maybe things would be different.
