  1. I'm split on the result I want here, should the Bills win tomorrow. Pressure will be off going to the Ravens, but playing against a young team with nothing to lose? Hmm.

ETA - OK, home field it is, above all.

What was that, Lamar might have ran 80 yards for a TD if he wasn't sacked?

    Yes.

To give him the benefit of the doubt, it highlights the lack of a spy... again.

Bringing back memories of seeing dude run for no yards in Buffalo. Texans came out sloppy on O.

I dont fear the Ravens, bring them on.

Let's get passed the Chiefs first!

Why does Aikman continue to ramble on after the next play has started ?

    *Corrected.

Where's the spy on Jackson? The Texan defense suddenly looks a mess.

    a) I’m not sure we ask more. Right? Both are asked to do everything, whether or not you have feelings on who does it better

    b) the ravens even made Lamar negotiate his contract!

700 less yards and was it 15 fewer TDs across the regular season? Plus one of the best kickers ever and a relatively fit defense.

Every QB is asked a lot of, especially the high caliber ones, but the comment from Buck was farcical when comparing to the likes of Josh and Mahomes.

What’s it like to have a clutch FG kicker? must feel good.

It means nothing apparently. After all, no one asks more from their QB than the Ravens do from Jackson.

    Equal it, I think? Isn't Lamar 1-3?

ETA - Forgot about last week somehow!

I'm glad the bills are the last game this weekend. Much easier to enjoy the other games

Though if they played first and won, I think the other three would be even more enjoyable.

Think Ravens win, but rooting for a Lamar collapse.

Nothing personal, as he’s an exciting player and seems like a great dude, but the obnoxious narrative juxtaposition between the media’s view of him and Allen gets the best of me here.

They'll only slide up Stroud's backside then. He's an excellent QB but the adoration unreasonably grates on me.

19-14 their last two years under Flores without Tyreek, with no playoff wins and an 0-4 record vs Buffalo.

20-14 their first two years under McDaniel with Tyreek, with no playoff wins and a 1-4 record vs Buffalo.

Half a game “improvement,” and now they’re in cap jail without an elite QB, Tyreek turning 30 and taking a beating, and haven’t had a first round pick since 2021.

    This is fine.

So the difference in both records is they managed to boil the Bills in 2022?

A lot of people doubled down on McDermott after the Broncos/Eagles loss and the Dunne article. Heard some very emotional displays on this board against him.

What he's done is silence those people in ways that make things awkward. As we continue winning this year, starting with the Chiefs this weekend, I will be monitoring some of those posters to see when they admit they were wrong.

Will they continue moving the goal posts? Will they subtly set McDermott up for failure by making a loss to the Chiefs seem "unthinkable". If we win the Super Bowl, will they still secretly want him gone? I wish I was joking.

For me, defeat against the Steelers should have made McDermott's seat very hot.

I always said a game against the Chiefs is a 50/50 affair and, to date, McDermott/Josh have had the upper hand in the regular season whilst Reid/Mahomes have got it done in the play offs. Whatever happens against them, he won't get moved on.

Do I have my doubts about having a defensively minded HC presiding over an elite QB? Yes. Less because of McDermott himself but more because of the lack of consistency on the offensive coaching side. If the Bills win the SB with the offense playing at least an equal part then some teams may have a look at Brady, and so the cycle will continue.

But will McDermott be sacked with a blowout or infamous ending against the Chiefs? No. And what he's done from Dorsey's sacking onwards has been remarkable.

I can see Rivera joining as a consultant but not as DC. I do think McDermott struggled early on holding both the HC and DC roles but he seems to have adjusted as the season went on. If he brings someone in, it'll be a coordinator who will follow his style of defense, and won't raise too many questions or disputes.

  12. Bringing back Araiza now wouldn’t be fair on him. Over the close season, I’d be happy to see him back, although Martin’s been brilliant for the Bills in recent weeks. But now they’d be too much pressure and expectation on him, which could affect his standing long term.

....I thought it was a fake slide.

I ALSO thought and continue to think, that there is room here for a fan of a rival team, to make that thread, and have that thread allowed to stand, and not ban the poster who started the thread.  I knew it would be an extreemly unpopular take, but you guys have thick skins and can handle it.  I wouldn't expect anything less than the response I got.

That doesn't change the fact I don't welch and when KC has lost to the Bills I always show up, post, offer congratulatoins and take my medicine (although this last meeting, I predicted a bills win)

I think you may have got more grudging acknowledgement if you agreed Mahomes is hardly innocent in this regard - often seemingly going to step out of play before suddenly jinxing inside. Saying that, like many (all?) Bills fans, I would still argue that wasn’t a fake slide yesterday.

As mancc said, you are in general a reasonable poster - especially for a Chiefs fan!!! - an even reasonable posters can have unreasonable takes once in a while. 😁
