  1. You do realize that is no longer true. McD/Babich have blitzed more than ever before this season and have added 3 LB sets to help on running plays since Milano returned. It's time to retire that narrative.
  2. Potential Bills milestones in week 18. Cook needs 19 rushing yards for 1000 and 61 total yards for 1300 yards from scrimmage. Shakir needs 179 receiving yards for 1000 (ok it's not happening) Josh needs 269 passing yards for 4000 (ok it's not happening either) Ray Davis needs 22 yards for 400 rushing Ty Johnson needs 16 yards to get to 500 yards from scrimmage Kincaid needs 52 yards receiving for 500 (Note: If Kincaid and Ty Johnson reach 500 yards, it will give the Bills 7 players with 500+ yards from scrimmage) Ty Johnson needs 3 catches for 20 and Ray Davis needs 5 for 20. If both get to 20 receptions it will give the Bills 10 players with 20 or more catches this season.
  3. He isn't getting that much to stay. We currently don't have the cap space.
  4. Was Mack Hollins Beane best off-season signing? Other "key" signings: UFAs: Samuel, Smoot, A. Johnson, (s) Mike Edwards, Toohill. Re-signings: AJE, Daquan Jones, Ty Johnson, & Q Morris.
  5. I wonder what this genius is spouting now? How can a GM who built a team that had 4 straight division championships and playoff 6 of 7 years prior to this season be labelled as inept. In Buffalo we know what inept GMs look like (just look at the current Sabres and the Bills before Beane) and Beane is far from inept. What a great job, talk crap without research or thought and get paid for it. Isn't America a great place.
  6. It's pretty simple, if you add Derek Henry and your teams gets worse, you aren't the MVP regardless of your stats.
  7. Here is the most important stat 2023 - Balt 13-4 No. 1 Seed Add Derek Henry, 2024 -Balt 11-5 No. 3 seed at best 2023 - Bills 11- 6 No. 2 Seed Lose Top 2 receivers, 2024 - Bills 13-3 No. 2 Seed Simply put, the Bills lost key players on offense (and Defense) and got better, while Baltimore added HOFer Derek Henry, who has had a great season, and got worse. Just for those interested. 2023 Lamar - 3678 yards passing 24 Tds, 7 ints, 821 yards rushing 5 Tds, 7 FL - Total yards 4499, 29 TDs 2023 Josh - 4306 yards passing 29 tds, 18 ints, 524 yards rushing 15 tds, 6 FL - Total yards 4830, 44 TDs Not sure how Lamar was the MVP and Josh only 5th in the voting. I guess record mattered last year.
  8. I said 11 to 12 wins. I wrote that Josh will have his best season spreading the ball around. I expected Cook to reach 1500 yards from scrimmage again (he's at 1239, but only needs 19 yards for 1000 rushing). I thought Kincaid and Shakir would each reach 1000 yards (Shakir 821 and Kincaid 448). I thought Groot would have a breakout season and get 11 sacks (he has 8). All in all the Bills as a team exceeded expectations, while the everyone eats philosophy really did spread the wealth. Only Cook and Shakir came near to my predictions. Overall the Bills have had 13 players catch a TD pass, 7 players with 400+ yards from scrimmage, 4 players with rushing TDs and 8 players with 20 or more catches with Davis and Ty Johnson possibly reaching 20 receptions in week 17. Talk about everyone eats. The Bills have scored 63 TDs YTD: 31 Rushing, 29 passing, 2 picks 6's and 1 fumble return.
  9. Bills record 13-3 locked up 2nd seed. Ravens record 11-5 and haven’t locked up their division despite the addition of Henry. They also have a worse record than last year despite the addition of Henry. Josh is the MVP.
  10. Would the Bills be better off with Tyrod or Mitch as the backup QB?
  11. Coleman 1 handed grab vs the Seahawks
  12. Shakir crawling over defender Week 1 over the Cards. https://www.buffalobills.com/video/josh-allen-finds-khalil-shakir-for-an-11-yard-touchdown-pass-bills-vs-cardinals-week-1
  13. Josh to Cooper to Josh (Sorry about analysis)
  14. With Josh likely to sit out next week against NE, I thought it might be good to look back at our TD catches this season. The Cooper and Coleman TDs in today's Jets games were among the best TD receptions of the year for the Bills. Josh's reception is probably the answer to the question, but I thought I'd open it up to nominations. Please post a video if you can. Shavers gets attaboy for taking it to the house on his first catch of his NFL career. Here are the videos from today game. Shavers Coleman Cooper
  15. That % is going up after this season for the Bills.
  16. I was trying to be nice to the Diggs crowd. After all it is the season to be kind and forgiving.
  17. Remember when the media told us that the Bills would miss the playoffs because we didn't have a go to receiver.
  18. and this is where you are completely wrong. McConkey is the same size if not bigger than Diggs. He is also faster. He is a great route runner and excellent at finding holes in the defense. He has excellent hands (which Diggs didn't), can break tackles and out run defenders. According to their combine stats, McConkey is also a better pure athlete than Diggs. So tell me, what skill is he lacking to be a boundary player? Your premise that WRs are slot or boundary only is completely flawed. This isn't 1990s football. OCs move their best players around to get the matchups they want. Just because Samuel has failed and Shakir can't get deep, doesn't mean McConkey wouldn't here. In fact, it's more likely than not that McConkey would be doing for Josh what he is doing for Herbert. I have zero against Coleman and like the pick, but McConkey is the better player and he is also a better player than Shakir. He would thrive in our offense.
  19. You are getting to hung up on calling someone a "slot" receiver. Yes the Bolts primarily use Ladd in the slot to start plays, but at GA Ladd lined up all over the field and has done so with the Bolts. Also starting in the slot doesn't mean you aren't running deep or boundary patterns. Unlike Shakir, Ladd is a deep threat. He easily could have been drafted by the Bills and utilized just like Diggs was with probably better results. 2024 McConkey - 69 rec, 960 yards, 13.9 yards/rec, 9.2 ybc/rec, 4.7 YAC/rec (15 games) 2023 Diggs - 107 Rec, 1183 yards, 11.1 yards/rec, 7.3 YBC/rec, 3.7 YAC/rec (17 games)
  20. Actually it's not. Shakir is a possession receiver catching short throws over the middle. McConkey is bigger, faster, is better at getting open down the field and has just as good of hands. McConkey is more of the Nacua and St Brown type "slot" receiver. Compare (through 15 games) Note: YBC (yards before catch) St Brown 101 rec, 1126 yards, 11.1 yards/rec, 7.4 YBC/Rec, 3.8 YAC/rec McConkey 69 rec, 960 yards, 13.9 yards/rec, 9.2 ybc/rec, 4.7 YAC/rec Shakir 73 rec, 796 yards, 10.9 yards/rec, 3.0 YBC/rec, 7.9 YAC/rec
  21. 35 - 24 Bills - Josh cements his lead in the MVP race with a 4 TD day.
  22. QB: Josh Allen RB: OJ Simpson RB2: Thurmon Thomas WR: Andre Reed WR2: Jerry Butler WR3: Diggs TE: Pete Metzelaars OT: Wolford, Dawkins G: Joe DeLamielleure, Billy Shaw C : Kent Hull DE: Bruce Smith DE2: Aaron Schobel DT: Fred Smerlas, Kyle Williams OLB: Biscuit MLB: Talley CB: Nate Odomes FS/SS: Hyde & Poyer P: Marv Bateman K - Steve Christie Special Teams: Tasker KR: McGee Head Coach: McDermott
  23. Cap space will dictate what Beane can and cannot do. With only 9 mill in projected cap space and only 40 players under contract, Beane has his work cut for him. I’m sure he’d love to get some of the young core locked up, but without cap space that’s hard to do. Also the players have to want to extend. The 2nd contract is where the guys make their money. They may not want to re-sign now in order to maximize their next deal.
  24. Oh look another our defense is terrible thread. Snooze. The Bills are 11th in points allowed. The Bills are second in points scored and 2nd in differential. KC and Det are 27-1 against the rest of the NFL and 0-2 against the Bills. The Bills, when healthy on D, have kept 5 teams to 10 points. The Houston D was brought up earlier and they have allowed only 4 less points than the Bills. The Bills D will be healthy for the playoffs and I suspect the result will be significantly better than the last few weeks. Relax people. One other note, the Bills have blitzed more than ever in recent weeks and had some very positive results from it against Det and NE. They also have utilized more 3 LB sets since Milano returned. These facts show that McD and Babich are more willing than ever to change things up and give a different look. You might say McD is reinventing his D scheme right before our eyes.
