  1. I think we’re all in agreement there. But more than that, why were 10k national guardsmen called off at the last hour, by the Pelosi’s team? Especially when they had intel of potential agitators. Why are people who were there imprisoned, isolated from family in solitary without any charges or reasoning? Why have there been no treason-based charges for what has been deemed the greatest act of treason in our generation? Why is there 15,000+ hours of unreleased footage? Why did congress continue session for 3 hours after the breach? Why are we just learning about this Qanon shaman being a former Antifa member, previously tied to southern caravans at the border, from the previous year and why is that being buried? Why weren’t the insurrectionists armed, if their intent was occupying? Let me call this as it is…. If you hate Trump, you don’t need to answer these questions. You’ve made up your mind, because you hate Trump. Hatred for Trump is not a good enough reason to look beyond all of the holes in the insurrection theory. And lastly, if we’re not getting truth on the insurrection, what the heck else are we not getting the truth about? Sorry, but my leaning left politically doesn’t warrant me simply agreeing without questioning what clearly must be questioned and answered by a Government that supposedly works for the people.
  2. What do any protesters want? Usually to be heard. There’s no excuse for it turning into what has happened across the country over the last year (including the capital). But the fact is we have more knowledge and evidence of other protests across the country than we have of THE most secure location in our country, on 1/6. If it was an insurrection, those involved deserve punishment (including any politician involved). None of us should rush to judgement without knowing fully what happened. The scary thing is when you can justify your doing so for “X” reason.
  3. Yes there is. In fact there’s more publicly viewable video supporting this than that of the event on the 6th being an insurrection. I absolutely condemned Republicans, Trump and all things Maga from that day on. But as I spoke to trusted people who were there observing, I’m now firmly in the camp of all video should be made public, because there seems to be way more to this than what we know. The easiest thing is to accept what your base tells you, that Republicans orchestrated a treasonous event. The hardest thing is to challenge what you know and seek truth for yourself. I’ve been attacked by my base (on this site), because I hold to the founding thought of all crimes deserve an investigation before guilt is assumed. The most dangerous people in our world are those with political passions that extend beyond reason. Most of the far-left leaning on this board are just trolling to get a rise (duplicate members). Remove their loud, juvenile voices and you can see both Republicans and Democrats (like myself) here, have more questions than answers about the 6th and want to know what happened.
  4. I agree and it held no validity in my mind as such. But my concern is why those that ran the election are now refusing to give the password to the 3rd party auditors all of a sudden. Also, why would our AG try to supersede a state election? That’s highly irregular and really bad for optics. It’s an easy way to live, to let partisan process, dictate concern. I know that I’m trying to step away from that exact thing. If an audit PROVES no voting issues, and it can rally half of the country, why not strive for that healing transparency? Seems to me that if Trump Is lying about voter fraud, you’d want the audit results to show America this. But instead it’s being met by uncomfortable resistance. I’d advise everyone to stay neutral and wait for the results. But…. We won’t. We’ll all foolishly bicker and take sides, instead of waiting for our government to provide the clarity that heals the nation.
  5. I had to google him, honestly. A far-right commentator quip, all because I voiced concerns that are pretty legitimate? Pretty unfortunate, considering we’re both Dems (you and I). It paints an ugly picture when simply seeking truth makes us attack each other. Our society has gone to pretty great lengths to help us understand the importance of not forming a premature opinion before the facts are presented. There’s many facts that haven’t been presented about 1/6. To insult those in your base, that feel that way says a lot about where we are, today. You can’t save someone from a shark if they insist it’s not there and keep swimming. Happy 4th, Governor! I never intended for this to be anything other than a fact-based, productive conversation where we could share opposing viewpoints. I’ll step away.
  6. Happy 4th, everyone! Come together and spread some love and goodness!!!
  7. I think anyone advocating for socialism or communism here in America should spend time in a country where it’s established, absolutely. But not all lefties are advocating for it, myself included. Actually, there’s probably more Democrats that DON’T want those ideologies, vs those who actually do. I’m more centered, admittedly as are most Dems I know. History has taught us far too much about the perils of socialism, for anyone to believe that it could be different, here.
  8. China, Cuba, Nazi Germany, Russia, North Korea all came to power when people were told to choose a side and believe anything their side told them. It’s an inconvenient truth to acknowledge because it’s seemingly happening today in America. I choose truth over party. And if my party is truthful, they should never be afraid to prove it. Video alone goes a long way towards that.
  9. Because the commission works for the people and if the intent of the commission is transparency…. Well. And why should a conspiracy fall solely in the hands of a single party? I’m a Democrat and I simply want truth, not Republican truth. I don’t want to be fed a party’s perspective. That’s a scary and slippery slope (see China). Also, I voted for someone who promised to unite us. A very partisan commission dedicated to something half of the country is deeply concerned about, flies in the face of that promise. So yes, I have concerns. And conspiracies were a joke while Trump spoke. I laughed, I’ll admit it. Then some of them turned out to be not-so-funny (COVID origin, Big media sensorship, Hamas sharing a building with US media….). I think we need to all stop laughing at the notion that conspiracies are simply a right-wing narrative. Again, with respect, you are WAY too comfortable eating from the troff you’re being fed from. My suggestion is to step away and dig deep into what you’re confidently stating. There’s some gross concerns you’ll have when you do.
  10. My friend, you’re too close to the tree and cannot see the massive forest behind it. All of your points are moot if there’s even a 1% chance that this was allowed to happen for political reasons, by the same people who are now “investigating “ it. Imagine the optics of the other side… ”We’re announcing a commission to investigate President Obama’s role in fast and furious, the US Embassy fall or FISA. The commission will be led by Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham.” You most likely wouldn’t expect truth to come from it, because your instincts tell you it’s a farce. That’s the equivalent to how half of America feels about this, which is so important to remember. Video solves everything; yet they won’t show video. Charges with corroborated video would help; none there…. It’s dangerous to assume we know the details because those on our “side” have told us so. This is just my opinion. There’s something very underhanded about this all. And adding Cheney (who was just ousted by the Republicans) as some sort of olive branch is like adding Manchin to a “squash the filibuster” commission by the Repubs. Let’s be truly honest.
  11. No, we disagree again. The commission’s purpose is to form a bi-partisan investigation into all of the evidence and then present to the American people. Congress may have an idea, but to say they already know, somewhat validates my point that this will just be a partial witch-hunt without truth. Any commission assigned at this level, is solely focused on investigating fully, then reporting together. This commission is not that, unfortunately. We may be given some facts, but they’ll be cherry-picked and won’t tell the entire story. And what I asked myself that really made me start to challenge the belief I had in what the news was telling me was this… If it’s REALLY as bad as it looks, why wouldn’t they make all/most video available to the public, so the public was aware and could form a truthful conclusion? We have a cumulative 5 minutes of total, cherry-picked footage. That’s a problem in my opinion.
  12. I’m sorry, but I disagree. I’m a bigger Trump critic than the worst this board has to offer, but seeing the pics/videos of the protesters being let in and some of the other items that have surfaced, leads me to believe those I voted for, aren’t being entirely honest and that leads down a rabbit hole that admittedly, I’m not too comfortable looking down. I hope I’m wrong, but as I promised a family member I would be centered going forward and consider everything that’s been presented, I started to very soon realize (once I began looking without my bias or preconceived notions) that I wasn’t comfortable accepting someone else’s truth, in lieu of seeking it for myself. And once you do move past that shackled life of “only one side is right”, it opens you up to ask some tough questions of those you previously deemed “the good guys”. Governor, you seem like an intelligent and well-thought individual and I mean that with respect and sincerity. So it too is with the utmost respect when I suggest you not believe that we know what happened, simply because what we’ve been shown through a biased lens, (just like when the news highlights the destruction done during peace marches, to say the whole thing is a riot). There were paid agitators who were boots on the ground. That’s been confirmed. 99.9999% of the insurrectionists were unarmed…. They we’re happily let in by SECURITY. None have been charged under a treasonous penalty level. No official video has been made available to the public. These 5 facts alone make me question the validity of what REALLY happened that day. I just want the truth. I don’t think we have that yet and we DEFINITELY won’t get it from a partial committee.
  13. This board is a great measuring stick for what we as Americans can expect from this commission. Divided, unproductive and too close to their own brand. We all deserve to know what the hell happened that day. But truth won’t be found here, because the Democrats and Republicans aren’t out for truth. They’re both out to vilify the other, simply for political gain. Does anyone think MGT will see things objectively (if she’s selected)? Or Adam Schiff? We’re passed the point of reason. This distraction is here to take our focus off of what we should all be concerned about… Russia & China are getting stronger as we get weaker. What will these audits show (if anything)? Inflation Filibuster Is the man I voted for, really all there? Afghanistan Iran The border We all lack objectivity. We’re all compromised by our convictions. We’ve been led to take sides and the lines have been drawn. Neither side will agree to find truth, they’ll both try to instill their own truth, based off their personal interests. How some of you can come here day in and day out to scream for your side, while your side destroys America, is beyond me. Meanwhile, while America squabbles and tears each other apart, our enemies grow stronger and more brazen. It’s a sad state this country is in. I blame Biden as much as I blame Trump and vice versa. Both parties have forgotten the most important thing…. They work for US! I think we’d all do well to drop our confidence in what we think we know and move to a “no stone left unturned” narrative. But that’s just my opinion. I know some are only here to razz the other side (as sad as that is). But for those of you who come here with an open mind, do your due diligence, please. There’s some bad stuff happening in our country right now.
  14. This is actually pretty terrifying (regardless of political affiliations any of us have). This group is running operations in the US and is a subset of the Moors, called the “rise of the moors”. They are a militant extremist group of Moroccan individuals who believe America is theirs according to their understanding of history (and not history itself). They’re not white, Latin or black extremists, but rather a foreign allegiance set on re-taking America. The media (both conservative and Democratic) are not sharing this groups mission statement, intent or sharing their online content. I looked at their site and content today and was floored this is happening in the US without greater awareness of citizens. Pretty crazy stuff.
  15. Just so I understand your methodology, you started a post about climate change (a worthy topic), that was actually just about the former president. You offer no context, facts or details to back up your position. No substance whatsoever. I’ve seen a few of your posts (and Billstime) and have concluded that you’re here for only one reason... To simply stir up those that don’t agree with you. That’s pretty unfortunate. I’d imagine you both are on quite a few block lists for this type of posting, not that either care. Just know that this kind of stuff is the reason people are divided beyond repair. Because there are people in the world who only find happiness through agitation. And those people, no matter how right or passionate they feel, are always on the side of wrong. There’s a great conversation to be had about the two points you brought up. Unfortunately, this thread was created only to bait and antagonize Trump voters, so as badly as I want to speak to the good points you made, (being serious, totally agree with your two points), I’m going to sit this thread out. There’s a better way to talk about what’s clearly going on in our world without making everything a vilification of Trump and his voters. But kudos for the points you made!
  16. You forgot... Zach Ertz to the Bills is a done deal.
  17. I don’t agree with all of the points and content you’ve provided, but you have stated your points and provided plenty of supporting documents to help others see your point through a more objective lens. I sincerely thank you for that And please don’t take that as condescending. I did read what you linked and have formed an opinion different than what you’ve formed. We don’t have to agree, we just need to be better listeners and more respectful of different viewpoints. Thank you for not just making baseless claims, and for entering into a discussion beyond rhetoric or partisan speaking points. Also, thank you for the links!!! 🍻
  18. There’s a tremendous amount of hurt in that picture. It’s both terrifying and heartbreaking in my opinion.
  19. Yes there are. There’s an overwhelming amount of skin-color related prejudice that still exists. The good news is hatred or an outward prejudice towards any shade, color, nationality or variety is in itself racism and if we remember that, we can identify it quickly and denounce it in unison. It’s when we allow racism to transpire without holding every person to the same standards of right and wrong, where we find ourselves in this present predicament. Racism is the same awful candy, regardless of the different color wrapping on the outside.
  20. You have so many good points here, btw... One I would like to touch on is what America’s understanding of racism is and what ACTUAL OPPRESSIVE racism looks like. When racism is mentioned in the US, the natural thought is white vs. let’s be truthful. That’s been the narrative. But Americans have no idea what true oppression looks like, when you think of the liberties we take for granted in our country, everyday. There’s no homosexuality in the Middle East, and in much of Asia. It’s still in many countries, punishable by death. There’s still slavery practiced in Mexico and Africa (legally in some parts). America is one of the only countries in the world where people can live how they want, surrounded by wealth, food and water and still complain about it openly, while burning their nation’s flag and being a white, black, Latino or Asian supremest. We’re driving hard to a hoop of oppression, through a lane of privilege we are forsaking. Irony cannot be written any better.
  21. Imagine you’re given a Nintendo Wii (back when it was cool and cutting edge). The objective of the entire gaming system is to simply develop your character through experience. Today’s world can’t begin the games because they’re too busy fighting and arguing about what their character should look like and abilities they should already possess without experience, based on nothing more than their feelings. So no one plays or has fun. No one is developing their character. And sadly, the entire purpose of the Wii is never fully realized. That’s the value of racism and the effects of not operating in a world of forgiveness, self-accountability and progression, moving away from, “what has my country done for me” and into, “how do I do for my country?”
  22. That is exactly correct. Another example where CRT fails is when genetics (how truly mixed we all REALLY are) are ushered in. CRT is based solely off appearances, but as we know, appearances mean nothing when we go to the DNA and get a true understanding of our pre-American heritage. The wheels begin to backpedal awfully quick when people begin to offer up what their ACTUAL heritage is, vs how they are surmised by their CRT instructor. That’s why what’s found it’s way to Public schools is now a one-way teach session with no debriefs are focus groups, like in a corporate setting. This way the content has a better absorption rate. It’s only when a parent finds out, that there’s an issue. It’s truly a brilliant evil.
