  1. How the hell did we get a first round pick for him. A first! For Peerless Price! I mean, think about it. I think it inflated everyone's expectations for Travis - I mean, I think he's worth a lot more than Peerless, we should get more! Unfortunately, we won't find anyone that dumb again. Probably.
  2. Buffan, shut up and read the rules. You're allowed to have 46 (I think) active players, plus an emergency QB. He's basically listed as inactive, and doesn't take up a roster spot on gameday. He's there so that if something happens to the top two guys, you still have a QB. You are not, on the other hand, allowed to use him as a substitute - 1 didn't work, and 2 didn't work, let's try 3. To prevent that and phony injuries to allow it otherwise, the NFL says the top two guys can't go back in if the 3rd guy plays. It's the damn rule, and it's special for QBs. So stop being a spazz.
  3. Even better, with Weis already gone, it makes Romeo Crennell that much more attractive in places like Cleveland and Miami - I think he's the better coordinator in any case, so hopefully he'll be out of conference, at the very least.
  4. I forgot who did that and googled "Who burned down Andre Rison's House?" Helpfully, google checked and asked if I really meant "Who burned down Andre Rison's *home*" Yeah, that's what I meant.
  5. You know, you try a little harder to score points when you're down 39-36 than when you're up 38-9.
  6. Not a letdown. Blowout game! Home fans after a pair of big road wins, the Bills are going to be coming back juiced. Other things are breaking their way now, with Jax and Baltimore losing. The only shame is that the D isn't going to give up enough scores to get kick return TDs.
  7. Also, teams don't come back from being down 3-0 in a baseball playoff, historically.
  8. I'd have to see his contract number before I say cut him, but yeah, bring in Gramatica for a few kicks, let's see if he's still got it. Or a tryout, at least. Lindell could always be a healthy scratch for a few weeks - who would you deny a roster spot to, though?
  9. I'd like the Bills to bring in 5-6 really high quality back-ups for next year. A solid, Marcus Price level tackle, a Ron Edwards level DT, a nickelback, a linebacker, and one more miscellaneou guy. I'm happy with Kelsay-Schoebel, for example. Oh yeah, and definitely a kicker. The Bills know it.
  10. The Jets are gone, I think. It's Denver, Buffalo, and Baltimore scrapping now, with Jacksonville and Cincy nipping.
  11. At Cincinatti, and at San Francisco. The Bills could finish 4-4 on the road, that usually gets you into the playoffs!
  12. I'm listening to the Bills coverage online, and they so far have managed to bungle it horribly, once again. Almost every week they come back too late, missing kickoff returns, early plays, and more. This time, no Lee Evans TD, no reversal on the INT.. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: NFL.com I'll take some damn commericals.
  13. 270 yards and 4 TDs! Man, he blows badly. I mean, I know that if we put in Losman today, he'd have thrown for 500 yards and 7 TDs, easy. What a chump.
  14. Of course, Manning's still got quite some career ahead of him now. Remember how long it took John Elway to win a Super Bowl? But not winning a Big One keeps him out of the all-time greats for right now. He's a young Dan Marino, and nothing better for the time being. If the game's on the line, I'd rather have Young, Montana, Elway, Favre, or Aikman. And that's just in the past 20 years.
  15. So he's toast - throw him on the pile with Wanny, Mike Holmgren, Butch Davis, and Dennis Erickson. That's a pretty high-profile list right now. Plus, there are rumors ( don't really belive them) about Gibbs and Parcells after their busting seasons. Tough year to be a high profile coach. P.S. Jon Gruden.
  16. Even if he was a full-on rookie, I think you have to give it to Rothliswhatever. He's been playing some pretty average games, but the man is unbeaten, and pulling of a solid year as a rookie QB is more impressive than as an RB. Definitely worth the comeback player award though. Who else is even close...Curtis Martin?
  17. I'm getting more and more intrigued by keeper leagues as a prospect for next year. Anyone know of a good site that runs'em?
  18. Hey, now, Detroit, NO, Carolina, Arizona, Tampa, and the Giants are all still In the Hunt in the NFC! None of those teams is more than a game out!
  19. God, I hate the expression "marginal fan' There's nothing wrong with criticizing the home team, what matters is if your watch the damn games or not. If you paid attention during the playoff run then switched to the Rams during the down years, you're a marginal fan. Finding a damn Bills Board makes you a pretty serious fan.
  20. Are we going after Tom Donahoe now for not hiring someone who's bad, because he maybe thought about interviewing him? That's a little much - there's plenty of real problems in that man's tenure, thinking about Haslett isn't one of them.
  21. I couldn't find Buffalo on there - if we're not top 25 and not bottom 25, we don't get any press. Ah well, could be significantly worse. Way to go Amherst.
  22. It's better. If you take out Marshall-FREAKING-Faulk, they had MORE that 98 total yards. He had a second half minus.
