  6. yeah it was pathetic but even as a life long yankee, the memory i take away is up there with Kirk Gibsons HR in the WS when he could hardly hold up the bat...i let the fluff pitch escape my memory...i choose to remember it as in incredible moment for an incredible player...it's not a lie if i believe it
  7. fixed it for you... :-)
  8. my oldest was conceived out of wedlock, but we married before he was born, had 2 more, now we are divorced...wedlock isn't the issue...the issue is as you said the guidance...you can be unmarried parents and raise the best kids society has ever seen, and on the other side you can have the menedez brothers....
  9. Mo deserves the curtain calls...what i do think is over the top is the 'private sessions' he is having...but the gifts the opposing teams are presenting him I think is very cool and shows how much everyone respects his accomplishments....
  10. wow...what a story
  11. keep in mind, it's not an official record, simply acknowledging the accomplishment, and those 2722 hits in just 13 years put him past Lou Gehrig. It was just an acknowledgement of his accomplishments, much like if Sudahara Oh had come to the US to play for a few seasons. A celebration, nothing more, nothing less and it's quite possible he can reach 3,000 MLB hits be end of next season...that's 3000 in 14 seasons, that's 214+ hits a season, that's pretty frigging awesome
  12. when you reply, look at that little blue square to the left of the 'font' drop down, click on that and a screen will pop up with another drop down menu box 'BBCode', from there select 'spoiler' and then type your message in the text box
  13. hmmm...i'm gonna google the covers not the answer...let me try and get back to you on that one... ok, i am gonna go out on a limb and say it was holy crap! I had no idea!!
  14. that has always been my personal favorite trivia question but it doesn't always work well with all groups...and i think bard is where they came up with the line in the song 'My Old School'
  15. figured i'd capture it for posterity before it disappears....
  16. article from a recent show in chicago with a couple awesome song videos... http://www.jambase.com/Articles/119192/Allman-Brothers-Band-Welcomes-Talton-Debuts-Cover-In-Chicago
  17. not to be a broken record, but thanks for the reports!
  18. i don't agree with this...we always have new people here and it's not their fault they have lives unlike some of us and can't post 30,000+ times here(raises hand). I love seeing new people on here and try to make them feel welcomed. I don't want new people to not contribute because they feel like they aren't welcome, we are a good group of people here and I say the more the merrier...that said...don't come in and start trolling...add value and all is well here
  19. i had some trouble hearing what walt was saying but got the gist of it...but that scene shows whats so good about this show...the little things....during one part, walts lips were almost stuck shut like they should be after being out for 4-5 hours...not sure why i noticed that but its the little things that make this show so awesome...great scene by Marie & skylar as well...best of all...no walt jr. i hope that neighborhood guy got to keep some of the money...can't wait to see how hank and jesse play out....WOW...
