  1. sometimes it's come home and hang with my kids, sometimes i head to my local watering hole and tell my kids to just give me an hour and they can swing by
  2. Dude...math is not your strong suit is it....Titanic was 1997, that's, like, almost 17 years, no where close to 100...sheesh
  3. of course his new show has a ton of production add-on, and probably not as remote as it may claim, but it's still fun to watch Ben Stiller & Tom Arnold rappel down a stone face or cross a log 50 feet up, even if there is a carriage road a stones throw away. As for leaving a fire burning or leaving a pack behind, they have production assistants to take care of the stuff that isn't 'camera/ratings friendly'
  4. i enjoy Naked & Afraid, the obvious reasons aside. I like it because the participants are all so frigging capable of surviving without any modern conveniences...i freak out if the cable blinks...I wish I had the survival skills those people have...don't even get me started on les stroud and bear grylls
  5. no, my intention wasn't to be noticed by the masses, if i posted that separately then I am no better than the others....
  6. I saw what you did Jack!
  7. it's "funny", granted it's only been about 2 hours, but the thread that nominated me has several likes and comments for my friend doing the challenge on video, but no likes or comments on my photo of my donation...
  8. Yeah, I really didn't feel like showing how much I donated, whether it was more or less, that's none of their business, I was debating including the screen shot of the Susan J. Komen donation i did right afterwards, similar to what you did, if anyone dares call me out on it they will get a rousing "f*** off!!!"
  9. i just responded to my ice bucket challenge with a screen shot of the donation thank you email from the ALS Association, doesn't show an amount, just date of transaction....
  10. i am waiting for the motorcycle crowd to start belly aching about how car motorists need to pay attention to the motorcyclists on the road.....
  11. get out of my head...it's crazy enough in there already, but you put how i feel a hell of a lot better than I did
  12. i think the thing i don't like is the implied forced participation, I am all for ALS research and support, have had a couple people around me stricken with it. I simply don't want to feel as if I am uncaring if I don't participate. I will gladly donate money, but I am also not going to publicize that to everyone. I am probably being a prick with my viewpoint but that's fine,
  13. wow, sounds like EJ is really stinking up the joint with those handoffs...apparently he CANNOT throw downfield..we are doomed
  14. yeah, kind of...it was a combination of an unfinished dylan song and maybe something else...it's kind of a convoluted story...
  15. I'm glad it wasn't just me not having a sense of humor http://www.philly.com/philly/entertainment/music/20140818_Oddball_festival_down_a_few__but_still_comic.html
  16. i've always used tap water.
  17. Hannibal Burress & Jerrod Carmichael were the best 'undercard' acts saturday night and in fact may have been better than the headliners, Amy Shumer backed out for some reason.
  18. keep in mind, starting out you don't need to boil the full 5 gallons...you can boil 2.5 to 3 gallons and top off in the fermenting bucket with the remaining water and still get excellent results
  19. there are easy ways to cut down on the expense...goodwill, craigslist, yard sales for brewing vessels, and glass carboys...grocery stores/donus shops for plastic fermenters...save your bottles after you drink beer...then you have the investments you can't avoid, capper, hydrometer etc, but those can be found for cheap....the raw ingredients can get pricey, but that's when you have to break it down on a per case basis, figure one batch = 60(?) bottles, 2.5 cases. Homebrew club members are also great resources for unused dust cluttering equipment
  20. I'm a big OCMS fan and I just get sick and tired of people(not you) saying it's a Darius Rucker song, as far as I am concerned Darius Rucker ruined the song....but then again, I am not a country music fan to begin with.
  21. OCMS didn't do "a version " of wagon wheel. They are responsible for the song as a whole. It's a song that was kind of pieced together into what is now wagon wheel. Bob Dylan pretty much started the song and OCMS, 'completed' into what we hear today
  22. My 2 older boys grew up with all three movies as they came out...the toy story series holds a special place in my heart.
  23. it was the funny or die oddball comedy tour....Sarah Silverman is a favorite of mine but man, she kinda sucked...she spent more time preaching about abortion then being funny. Dave Atell was VERY funny, Louis CK was good, not great but good.. really disappointed in Sarah S. glad i went though, it was a great evening...really wish Aziz Ansara was part of this stop, but you can't have everything
