3 weeks until we play them week 1. Should be a fun game for our defense.

Josh and the Offense will need to step up to beat a tough Jets Defense. If they can do that, we will likely start off 1-0.

Remember how bad Brian Walters sucked?

I think they are just kicking the tires here.  From what I’ve read Tyrell Dodson has been very impressive and could solidly a role as backup LB.  The Bills stuck with him through a domestic abuse arrest, so they have to see something in him.

A lot of his predictions are terrible.  Bills 15-1?  That’s a little lofty IMO, but let’s say that happens... he had NE finishing 14-2!!!!!   When is the last time a 14-2 team finished in second in their division? ???

Here’s something that’s crossed my mind many times. We have NFL Network, Yankees Network, etc.

Would any of you pay for a subscription to gain access to a huge library of games, podcasts, interviews, and shows from NY’s only football team?

I would in a heart beat.

It depends.... it PSE was the one behind this network then probably not.  The archived footage would be cool and that would be the only reason why I would subscribe.

I would have no desire to watch “The Chris Brown Show” in the morning or “Bills Flashbacks with Maddie Glab” or “The Super Bowl Years” hosted by Steve Tasker.  Outside of the “Embedded” series, current programming put out of PSE leaves a lot to be desired

There was no chance of that happening.  Gore looked great when the season began he straight-up sucked toward the end.  How many times did he need to see Gore run right into defenders at the LOS for no gain?  Is the lone partially to blame?  Probably, but so was Gore’s straight ahead running style.  Singletary had more success running behind the same line.

I think back up QB is the one glaring hole on our roster heading into the 2020 season.  Not only do we have to worry about a regular injury to Josh Allen this year, we also have to worry about him coming down with COVID19 and missing several games while he recuperates.  We don't have another QB on this roster that I have confidence in to step into the lineup for three weeks and win us 1 or 2 games.  I was really hoping we would make a run at Andy Dalton when he was released.  How valuable was having Foles,  Bridgewater, and Tanneyhill for the Eagles, Saints, and Titans over the last few seasons?

I know there are only so many quality QBs that become available each year, but I think that when you are putting together a team that has a legitimate shot at winning a championship, you need to make an investment in a quality backup QB.  I think it's worth $3-4 million a year in cap space to do so, especially when your starting QB is still on his rookie contract.  To put that amount into perspective, that's half of what Beane will pay Trent Murphy this year to be a rotational DE.   Dalton is getting $3 mil from the Cowboys this year.

This year the depth of your roster is going to be more important than ever due to COVID19.  We have quality depth at just about every position on the field except for the single most important one.  I do not mean to bash Beane with this post.  I am a huge Brandon Beane supporter and I think it's a miracle where we stand today compared to where we were just three years ago.  That improvement is due in large part to how well Beane has done his job. Maybe he has tried but was unsuccessful in signing a quality backup.  Who knows?   At the end of the day I would just feel a lot more comfortable going into this season with someone more accomplished than Matt Barkley holding a clipboard next to Josh Allen.

I think it is hard to dispute that backup QB is the single biggest hole on our roster heading into the 2020 season.  I hope it doesn't cost us.

A lot of teams have poor options at backup QB.  Not a big deal

Not sure if we care about him anymore, but I know a few here liked him.

He looked like he was going to do well in New England for a bit

Hogan developed into a good complimentary WR but I think injuries and age have taken a toll on him.  Not playing with the greatest QB ever probably doesn’t help your production either.

Probably not a bad signing for a street FA in August, but then again - there’s a reason he was a street FA in August

Thanks Mafia.  I don’t remember those two guys.  I didn’t think we needed more DT’s, but they are probably camp bodies.  Maybe not.  Maybe one makes it.

It’s going to be tough for sure, especially since there’s no preseason and the fact that some of the Bills DE can move to inside.

With Star our this year, there might be chance if they can beat out Vincent Taylor as a 4th DT.  I think a lot depends on the health of Harrison Phillips...and whether they want to keep 4 DT’s on the roster

In reading about the Denzel Mims hamstring injury, I can’t help but reflect on how much better a position the Bills have put Josh Allen in that what the Jets have done for Darnold.

Josh Allen is going into the all-important year three with the same offensive coordinator and head coach, an offensive line returning 4 of 5 starters, and a WR corps of Stefon Diggs, John Brown, and Cole Beasley, with two promising young rookies waiting in the wings.

Sam Darnold is going into the all-important year three under his second head coach and third offensive coordinator. His offensive line will likely feature new starters at all five spots, several of whom are replacement level journeyman types. Their WR corps features Breshad Perriman, Denzel Mims, And Jamison Crowder. Gone are both Robby Anderson and Quincy Enunwa.

Whereas the Bills are counting on proven stud Stefon Diggs to be their number 1 receiver, the Jets are counting on...Perriman, I guess?

Whereas the Bills can ease their rookie receivers along slowly and don’t need to count on them immediately, the Jets NEED their rookie WR to be good immediately or else their offense is in trouble. It’s hard for WRs to be mega-productive even in the best of circumstances, but counting on one to produce after missing time with injury and having no preseason is asking quite a lot.

For years, I watched the Bills put their young QBs in bad situations that sabotaged their development. For once, it’s nice to watch a division rival do the same, while the Bills do everything possible to build around their youngster.

Soooo glad I’m not a Jets fan. What they’re doing to Darnold is downright criminal.

That’s the calculated risk Beane took.  He traded a first-round pick in exchange for a proven WR in Diggs.

If you look at their roster makeup they are giving big contracts to about 9-10 guys.

Their roster is devoid of "middle of the road" 4-8 million dollar contracts.

If you want to see here is how they currently are looking for next year click the link below.

At some point though isn’t it going to catch up to them?  It seems like a lot of players signed contracts that were very team friendly in the first year
