  1. Agreed, the bad ass characters are Darth Maul, Darth Vader, Greivous etc. They build the Death Star. The leader of the Jedi is a small green midget that retreats to a swamp when the going gets tough.
  2. From a review, not a spoiler really, but I put it in yellow: "By avoiding excessive reverence, Lucas makes the first appearance of the black mask and costume a moment of profound sadness....while there's an admitted thrill to hearing the voice of James Earl Jones, the content of some of Jones' lines is unlike anything we have previously heard from the voice-box of Vader. Not all eyes will be dry by the end of Revenge of the Sith. "
  3. When I see the commercial with Darth Vader being raised up with his uniform on, I get the chills. I can't wait for this!
  4. I'd say he isn't too far off. Losman is a big ? mark. We'll be more highly regarded once our offense proves itself. Personally, I think we are more on par with Jax and we are better than NO. We'll beat NO this year. I think the Raiders are ranked too high and Houston is too low. Then again, I don't get paid to think this crap over and I'm probably worng.
  5. You ever see the Simpsons in Spanish? I saw it in Chile once. Chief Wiggum is Jefe Gordo (Chief Fat Guy) and Ralph is Gordito (little fat). The voices are all way different.
  6. Can't wait. It's been a month? since there was a new one. Withdrawl.
  7. I think Amherst has been ranked the safest US city with over 100,000 residents for something like the 5 past years straight.
  8. Guinness is a my cure for hangovers.
  9. Justin Bannan. He'll end up playing both lines.
  10. 7'3"? He had two choices- the NBA or the wookie. He looks a little like Alice Cooper with that eye make-up.
  11. That would be one cool costume to wear in the film. Not so cool to go to the movie in, though. I think Triumph would agree.
  12. A few years ago, my friends in Sausalito had David Prowse over for dinner. They said he was a very nice older English gentleman and extremely tall. I wonder if he is Darth in the new one?
  13. I already knew about most of what was said and I saw some advance screen shots that had major spoilers, so I could really tell that this one would be much different than the others. I was positive about the others in that they were still good movies, if not the great by the standards of Star Wars. No matter what, the previous two were movies made on a grand scale and were entertaining. I have friends that work at the ranch, which is only right up the road and I'm hoping to try to get an early viewing, if possible. I got to go to the screenings of the others. It's quite an experience when you are waiting to watch the movie and there are people up in front dueling with their light sabres and the guy eating popcorn next to you is stuffing it up his stormtrooper mask.
  14. I'm really anticipating this one. I'll take Smith's word for it because I am certain he would be honest with his review. He is a true geek. He was on a Bay Area morning show that I listen to for a whole week and they guy is a total nerd, albeit a cool nerd.
  15. The cities to be hit are: Seattle Austin Sacramento Boston Altanta Chicago San Francisco Las Vegas Denver The Portland of Oregon Too bad, I have a wedding in Houston next week, so I won't be in SF, otherwise I'd go. We get lucky here, you can see most movies in advance.
  16. I really liked AIC Jar of Flies. Layne was great!
  17. I was at a Pak-n-Sav in Oakland and saw a woman wearing a Buffalo Bills Super Bowl Champions t-shirt. It's a bit startling.
  18. Sounds like a great overachiever! I rooting for him big time.
  19. There is a crowd in front of the camera, so it is obscured. But, I think it looks good. I think it'll be the movie we've been hoping for.
  20. I can't agree with that. It's still not too late on the west coast
  21. Parrish
  22. Sorry to come late to the debate, but this makes no sense.
  23. What was the thinking on this? I'm shaking my beer in anger.
