Rumors are that Nate Oats' Alabama assistant, and former Oats assistant at UB, Bryan Hodgson is being brought in to replace Whitesell.

I'll see it to believe.  UB isn't doing very well financially, and Hodgson makes significantly more already as a assistant than Whitesell did as HC.

Whitesell had a base of 300k, while Hodgson is making 425k.  Hodgson will have ample opportunities over the next couple of years to be a HC at a program willingly to pay in the millions.

Diggs is a weird dude. I can support that. Good for him.

But when it starts to make him a wonky teammate or cause a ruckus among the fans is where I have started drawing the line. You can't repeatedly undress your QB, HC, and/or OC on the sidelines. You can't bail on your team after a tough loss because you are such a "competitor", and you can't feed into the rumor mill about the security of the franchise that you play for.

Part of my frustration and credence to some of the smoke is that these rumors aren't secret. A lot of people are talking about not just on Bills forums. Diggs has the opportunity to put all of this to bed and refuses. Wildly frustrating.

Don't forget he is a captain that doesn't show up to OTA.   The guy private jets to fashion shows across the globe, but can't get in a plane a couple days in April and May to be a good teammate.

Not to mention all the times this year he just flat out quit during the game.  The guy would catch one ball, or run one route, and just go off the field.  The team couldn't use him to block anymore, which severely limited on what the team could do.  That's why Gabe played so much.

None of those players had contracts causing 35m in dead money over next 2 years on teams cap strapped and trying to win a SB.

No 2 trades are the same.  Diggs contract dead money cap hits make him un-tradable.

Unless something absolutely catastrophic happens, he will be a Bill the next 2 years at least.

What if he doesn't show up?  Or causes issues once he decides to report?

Sal just spoke on the Diggs rumors this morning.  He made an excellent point we can’t afford to trade him, nor why would we?  He’s out clear #1 and his dead cap is $37 mil. If we were to trade him.  He’s not slowed down, only 29, doesnt turn 30 until late November and signed a four year extension last year.  He’ll get over the “I’m not getting the ball thrown to me at the end of the season”.

All top level WR’s are divas to a point.

Players have all the power.  If they want out, they get traded.  It's pretty that simple in today's NFL.  They don't care what happens with the team.

Look at Rodgers, cried about wanting a new deal, gets his deal, now wants out.  Going to cost the Packers millions in dead money.  Nothing they can do about it.

    Hill wanted out, traded.

    AJ Brown wanted out, traded.

    Wilson wanted out, traded.

    Adams wanted out, traded.

    Hopkins wanted out, traded.

    Watson wanted out, traded.

    Stafford wanted out, traded.

No kidding. Folks know now that Justin Jefferson is a great wr. They didn't know before the draft. No one did or he wouldn't have lasted until the late first round.

    Grow up.

I'm not sure what his post draft success has anything to do with where he was actually drafted.

The Bills traded their first round pick for a WR.  They were taking a WR if they kept their pick.  Justin Jefferson was the guy available at their pick.

Good grief. The worst kind of "told you so" post.

Diggs was instrumental in Josh Allen becoming Josh Allen. There are plenty of questionable choices made by Beane, but this isn't really one of them.

They will work it out. Don't think Diggs is ready to retire and he ain't being traded.

It wasn't Diggs or no one.  The opportunity cost of Diggs, was Justin Jefferson.

Are you telling me that Justin Jefferson wouldn't have been instrumental in Josh Allen's development?

Diggs mentally is a different animal.  Don't be surprised when it gets ugly.

  7. I wasnt a fan of Diggs before he got to the Bills.  Felt like I was forced to like him because he was on the team, even though he always rubbed me the wrong way.  Felt like everyone around team constantly walked around on eggs shells around Diggs.  Seems to be quick to explode on the smallest of things.  Never felt like he truly bought into being apart of the team/Buffalo.

Him wanting out and being insubordinate is happening right now.  This isn't some made up media rumors.  He is not cooperating with the team right now and has pretty much ignored every teammate that has reached out to him since the end of the year.

Beane made this mess by trading for this guy.  It's like dating the girl who cheated on her partner to have a relationship with you.  It's just a matter of time until its you getting cheated on.  People don't permanently change, they just mask the real person for a temporary amount of time.

Not sure how this ends, but my guess, it gets ugly.

I said it when it happened, but what a terrible contract extension Beane gave him.  Beane is really looking like a bottom tier GM.

It will be much higher then that. According to the Sports Business Journal,

Bills season-ticket holders got a look at what a personal seat license "might cost in the new stadium when the team emailed a survey on the potential design, amenities and seating options" for the $1.4B stadium, starting at $500 for general seating -and reaching "as high as $16,500 for premier seat

You contradict yourself.  How will it be much higher than a grand for 300 level and then in the article it says 500 for general seating?

History - I've been a season ticket holder for nearly 20 years.  I live 3-4 hours away and typically make it to 4-5 home games, all playoffs and one road trip per year.

It really comes down to the PSL price for me.  As it is now, during the recent playoff years I've been able to sell off unused tickets with a reasonable expectation that I'd recoup most or all of their prorated value.  Before that, I'd end up donating tickets to the United Way, because it was a better value than selling for $10 (but my tickets were 30-40% less than they are now.   If the PSL fee isn't astronomical I'll probably keep them, so I have automatic options for playoffs.  If it's 5k+ per seat for lower bowls, I'll pick 2 - 3 home games per year, one road trip and buy playoffs on the secondary market.

If the PSL triples or quadruples your cost basis, it will be hard to recoup that it one year.  The resale value of PSL has been historically poor.  You may only recoup a fraction of what it cost you in the future.

PSL will be really low in Buffalo.  Wouldn't surprise me in 300s, it right around a grand.  I know people that made over 2k on their tickets this year.

Wow, this is one of the worst posts I have ever seen on this forum.  He will win whatever lawsuit he files.  Not only was he a union employee, the Bills cut the guy he was competing with and then proceed to cut Araiza only after he was wrongfully accused of a crime.  He should have been suspended and placed on the commission exempt list while the process played out.  There are countless other situations within NFL where that was what happened.

    Not sure?

Buying season tickets to sell is a speculative move.  Depending on how the team is doing, you might make money or you may lose money--especially in December/January.  If the Bills raised season tickets to the price point the resale was getting in a particular year, many more fans would likely not buy season tickets--especially those who' intent is to sell them.  Also, there is nothing preventing the Bills form limiting the number of season tickets they sell. Simple.

Also, 16 teams are in the bottom half of the League in revenue by the way....good point!

    This isn't rocket science, no.

I mean there aren't limitless seats so there is something preventing them from the number of season tickets they sell.

Looks like it is rocket science to some.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.  That's how the secondary market works in every single NFL city.  You should look into it.

I know at least 10 people that doubled their money as a whole this season from re-selling their tickets.

Not sure what your response has anything to do with not raising the ticket prices here.  The Bills are in the bottom half of league in gate revenue.  The re-sell market is telling the Bills that people are willing to pay more for tickets to their game.  Therefore, they are raising ticket prices.  This isn't rocket science.  Not sure why you have such a condescending attitude.

The Bills would love to have less season tickets and be able to sell more single game tickets.  Clearly the the out of towners will pay a lot more than a season ticket holder is.

  13. They should go up to the point where the wait list is gone and people stop buying them just to resale for a profit.

How can I take people seriously about prices being too high, when season ticket holders are making a profit on selling the games.  Clearly the season ticket prices aren't high enough.
