I'm just not sure if any of these LBs in the draft have a better chance of succeeding over Bernard and Spector.
A lot of the same things you hear about Sanders, is what was being said about Bernard in College. I'm not just not a fan of Campbell. Reminds me of Poz, who would get eaten alive in today's NFL.
I personally like Spector's college tape a lot, and his play anytime he got time in Buffalo was good.

Seems stupid to bet on an oft-injured player to stay healthy. However, this is what this regime does. They struggle to find hidden gems, so they just go back to the same wells over and over again.

Anyone but Dodson. He was brutal last year.
I went back and looked at twitter comments from people who watched Bernard while he was playing games at Baylor. They all had really good things to say. He looks massive in his latest pics from his vacation. I'm willing to give him a chance.

Good sleuthing, but Hopkins was in Dallas as of Thursday according to his IG, and there's an owners' meeting in Phoenix this weekend.
And he was in Houston the day before. Got to imagine he just jets from city to city. His home in Phoenix.

I tell it like it is because at 55 years old as qualifying as a senior now in Western New York I don’t care I am old. I agree with you but as a UB Bulls fan and season ticket holder for over 30 years this school alumni have been in denial for years. St Bonaventure Bonnies pays head basketball coach Mark Schmidt over a $1 million dollars a year and some of these UB alums have an excuse for not paying a UB Bulls coach. The reality is Mark Schmidt makes as much as UB Bulls football and basketball head coaches combine. Then the UB Bulls alums will have the stones to say St Bonaventure Bonnies isn’t a Western New York school or a small college or whatever put down deflecting from reality. I am a Canisius College alum that is a fan of all four Big Four college basketball schools. I just want Western New York to win I don’t care which school does it just win a national championship for Western New York.
Yesterday March 21, 1977 was the one and only post season National Championship the St Bonaventure Bonnies NIT championship Western New York ever won in college basketball over head coach Guy Lewis’s Houston Cougars with star player Otis Birdsong at Madison Square Garden. I was 9 years old when the Bonnies won for Western New York that is how long it’s been. I don’t care about UB Bulls excuses nor that PSE bum Terry Pegula’s excuses for failure. Just win a National Championships for the Western New York area Bonnies, UB Bulls, Bills, Sabres whatever just win the championship fools the whole bunch excuse making fools five and dime owners and five and dime donors in my opinion. UB Horns Up! Go Bulls! Let’s Go Buffalo
Things were trending in the right direction for a bit. UB was seeing the financial benefits of what a successful program could be. They gave Hurley his extension when they thought he was going to stay, and then they gave Oats an extension too. What those contracts really did for UB was give them huge buy outs, and UB decided to not flip that buy out into paying more for a new coach, they went the cheap route. They took that money and put it into other areas that are really struggling financially. Same thing with the football team too.
One thing I will back UBs financial team with is, the donors just aren't there. Getting money to build the field house was worse than pulling teeth. They have to more or less, stick to the budget that is given to them by the college. They don't have this huge donor alumni fund that other colleges are working with.
I'm not expecting much with this next hire. I would venture to guess it will be a younger guy in the hopes they can get another buy out in the future if he succeeds and gets hired. That is what they did with Mo. It's not working because he is a terrible coach, but they thought he had a bright future of a buy out.

Yup, paid $385K. About what Whitesell was making. Oats made $612K his final season at UB. There goes your take right out the window.
And you may not care about your player being involved in a murder but universities hiring coaches do.
Whitesell was making 300k.

You are delusional. Who do you think recruited those players involved? Even if he had nothing to do with it, it's guilt by association. SUNY has a lower tolerance for shenanigans than most schools.
And I repeat my question to you: why would Hodgeson go to ArkSt when he's such a hot candidate?
Hodgson has zero say in the discipline of those players. Guilty by association does not apply to Hodgson here. What do you want him to do? Go against his HC?
He's going to Arkansas St because he is getting paid.

I am not a "comp pick" obsessive but when you are in line for a free 3rd rounder you should absolutely NEVER blow that.
No there are not. Over The Cap's tracker gets the odd 7th rounder wrong but otherwise they have a pretty good handle on it each year.
Over the Cap updates it after the NFL awards their picks. They more or less, change their website to make it match the exacts.
When awarding compensatory picks, the NFL uses a formula that accounts for a player’s average salary per year (APY), snap count and postseason awards. The exact specifics of the formula are confidential, but we do know it also takes into consideration a player’s history of playing time (or lack thereof).
What are compensatory draft picks and why do NFL teams get them? - NBC Sports Chicago

Pretty sure no ones knows the rules of the comp formula, so not sure why so much time is spent over it.
Every year there has been situations that go against the "formula"

Maybe you missed the scandal surrounding Alabama basketball right now? There no way a SUNY school would go near anyone involved with it. I think you have it backwards. If Hodgeson was such a hot coaching prospect, why is he going to a backwater program like Arkansas State?
lol, that scandal has nothing to do with Hodgson. You're reaching.
Is Arkansas State going backwards? The last coach was paid more than Whitesell was paid at UB.

That doesn't mean they won't spend in other areas. Donors can also target certain sports.
Hodgson going to Arkansas St should tell all you need to know about the money available for a HC.

Why do fans get all worked up over rumors online when the GM is on recent record literally stating they have no money?
Not happening, move on with your lives.

I'm a huge Spencer Brown fan. Freakish athleticism, gigantic man, mean streak...
All in all, what you want in a lineman, IMO. He'll get better as well as he develops as a player. He came in pretty raw but he's showing flashes.
Showing flashes is not good as an Olineman. One missed blocked (which he has many of) and your QB is out for year.

These players know what is happening around them. Look at the Mckenzie tweets before the Harty signing.

Not sure I care as long as D Jones is healthy. We used so many different combos of players last year and can't say I really noticed any difference until Jones was out.
I'm fine with veteran minimum guys there.

I'm guessing those predictions are based on Dawkins - McGovern - Morse - Bates - Brown?
On the bright side, it goes to show that we're a hit at RT away from a good pass pro OL.
Downside, everything said by the FO would lead us to expect Brown to be the starter next year.
Yes, it was based upon the line you said.
I feel like I am getting gaslite every time Beane talks about Brown. Like he is telling me the exact opposite from what I'm seeing. Brown is too tall and skinny. He spends way too much time on the ground. His back will always be an issue with the way he plays.
