  1. I’m sensing a trend
  2. Keep talking sexy, I'm almost there....
  3. I think the fact that we have multiple threads begging for a Crosby/Garrett trade, and we are already paying Oliver, shows that Groot is not worth top 10 money. Many have already made the main point of him disappearing when he should be earning his paycheck. If you are going to make top 10 money, I expect to hear your name in a meaningful way in the playoffs, not the regular season. If we resign him, anything over 12 mil is terrible to me. Personally, I let him play out his 5th year and see what happens. Can anyone say that he can't be replaced in the draft? I can't.
  4. Love this contract. He's an ascending player and become a safety net for Josh. Great value
  5. If Garrett, Oliver, and Groot can’t get it done, or elevate the 4th lineman, there’s no hope anyways.
  6. Like we saw in recent years where there was maybe a handful of true 1st round grades, it makes picks 15-100 a crap shoot of people reaching. Everyone can't trade out and picks need to be made. So it'll be interesting.
  7. Yup, please forgive my offseason brain
  8. https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2025/story/_/id/43955223/2025-nfl-draft-class-better-expected-strengths-weaknesses-questions-prospects Key Highlights: -Running backs could have starters coming out of rounds 5, 6, and 7. There's quite a few with 2nd round grades that could make big impacts. -Tight Ends are solid. Not 2023 solid, but close. (Doesn't really help us) -Defensive Line has 31 of the top 100 overall player rankings. Could see a big push and benefits teams like the Bills picking at the end of rounds. To me, this works out really well for the Bills and this is what I would like to see: -Draft one of those RB's as a potential Cook replacement. I think Cook is great, but we aren't budgeting our roster to pay a RB 12+ mil a year. If we can trade Cook for a 2nd or 3rd, and then flip that pick into his replacement, I'm good with it. It's nothing personal and I would love to keep Cook, but I just don't see us having the money for him within our plans of this roster. -Our defensive line needs work, even if we do swing a trade for Garrett/Crosby. Personally, I don't know what kind of money Groot is going to expect, but he disappears too much in big games for me to justify paying him 20+ mil per season. I'm completely fine letting him play out his 5th year and making that decision next offseason. With that being said, we need a game changer at DT alongside Oliver, and I could see AJ being a cap casualty along with Von. With McD's rotation, I could see 2-3 picks on the defensive line in the early rounds. As for other positions based upon draft round grades (super early as the combine isn't done) -DBs - only 2 DB's have a first round grade, and only 3 have a 2nd round grade. This is not great for us. Safety equally has similar players with 1st/2nd round grades. If we are looking for starters here, we need to hit on a mid round pick or trade up. -WR - I personally do not believe that WR is the need that others do. Even with Cooper not doing much out there, we still had a very prolific offense. For those interested, there are 11 WR's with 1st/2nd round grades OG - For those that think Edwards' roster spot is in jeopardy, this is not the draft to replace him. There's only 3 Gs with 1st/2nd round grades, and then a huge drop off to players with a 6th round grade. Based on all of this, I would argue that our FA priority should be (aside from resigning some of our own guys) -Safety, Guard (expensive in FA and assuming Edwards is out), and DB.
  9. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/nfl-to-consider-changes-to-kickoff-including-touchbacks-moving-to-35-yard-line I thought the 30 was too much. I don’t like this
  10. I'm easing back in. Still hurts to be honest. Definitely not ready for the draft or off-season hype. Hopefully FA wakes me up. A lot of team have tons of money. It's going to be interesting. Also, my Josh could leave us page is really trolling hard. I'm loving every second of it 😜
  11. Could probably only get an 8th for him
  12. If he's healthy now, I'd bring him back. He was solid depth.
  13. I don't think he'll ever be that guy. Too nice and respectful
  14. You realize this is a fan forum right? The majority of what we speculate or talk about never comes to fruition. Just some conjecture
  15. I’m not saying he is going anywhere nor implying I think he will. It’s just an offseason hypothetical. Nothing more.
  16. I wonder if they liked multiple guys, and since there were still 3 of them there, they were okay trading down knowing one would still be there. In hindsight, I'm fine with who they drafted. I would have loved Brian Thomas, but we weren't about to trade up. I don't think Brady would have known how to utilize Worthy.
  17. I've actually wondered about that. If Josh wanted to pull an Aaron Rodgers, would Terry cave. Granted, Josh would never do that, but still would be interesting.
  18. It’s really just a hypothetical. Nothing serious. Like I said, just an offseason post
  19. You aren’t wrong 😋. But I expected it when I wrote it.
  20. Thank you for acknowledging this is a hypothetical. Too many people don’t read the actual post and assume I think this will, or that I want it to happen.
  21. I don't think the NFLPA would allow it. They did not like when Brady did it either, but Brady didn't care.
  22. You are correct about his contract and it's not something I'm "worried" about. Just something that I thought about and was curious to see how people would feel about it. Like I said, a truly offseason bored post.
  23. I agree with you here. I think he really does love it here and wants to be the man who brings the city it's first trophy. I was more so thinking if he did decide to try something different, if people would be upset with him for it.
  24. Forgive the offseason post, but this thought crossed my mind last night, so flame appropriately. It's hard for me to argue that Josh has been let down by the defense in key games, especially the playoffs. You could also say that the Bills were outcoached in most of their playoff losses. Add in being in the same conference as the Ravens, Bengals, Chiefs, and other improving AFC teams, it's not going to get any easier soon. With being from the west coast and being engaged to a movie star, is it crazy to think it might make more sense for him to want to play out his contract and join a team like the Rams? He would immediately become the NFL king of LA, have an offensive minded coach, and be closer to home. I think his chances to get a ring would greatly improve, and he'd get to play in a dome where he excels. To be clear, I don't want any of this to happen. But if it did, I don't think I could really blame him. Yes, the Bills took a chance on him, but he was still a top 10 pick and has paid the team and city back well beyond that. I would hate it, but I would still support him.
