  1. Announcers saying “Ryan hoping he’ll get another chance” I think Ryan is praying Broncos burn clock so he doesn’t have to go out there.
  2. Denver has made several HC changes on the philosophy of “not good enough”, demonstrating the principle change isn’t always for the better
  3. To be fair maybe Ryan ought to run. He might get hit less by by fewer smaller guys
  4. I don’t understand why Matt Ryan’s brains aren’t scrambled like the stuffing of a Jack in the Crack Breakfast Burrito
  5. I’m not sure there’s a play Reich could call that would work. It’s like the Homewood High School OL vs Alabama
  6. He’s thrown directly to defenders how many times, out of how many passes?
  7. Frankly Russ Wilson should have been picked about 4 times to go with ……..well well well well, finally happened
  8. I mean, the called plays might be good for all I know, but the execution sucks so horribly I can’t even figure out what they’re trying to do
  9. (Thinks for a moment) Nah. Nope. Two Denver receivers in the same place, both trying to catch the same ball was mildly entertaining tho
  10. His WR just aren’t trying, like they’ve given up on the ball coming their way OTOH Wilson just looks off. His throws are behind, or ahead, or just not where they oughtta be, but his receivers aren’t helping him out with adjustments either. And what was that thing where one Broncos WR ripped the ball out of his teammates hand after the ref picked off one defender?
  11. I can’t decide if Denver has a defense or if the Colts OL is just that inept
  12. That was sarcasm….wasn’t it? I have 2 questions: 1) how did this Colts team beat KC? 2) how is it Matt Ryan has only fumbled 10 times or whatever it is? He is getting ragdolled and tossed around like a twig
  13. Hmmm I’ll have to look again, I saw Knox in two more plays and he whiffed a block on one. I didn’t think that was Knox. Edit: you are right, he did hold his block well on Singletary’s “not gonna score” run Amen on your point about TE depth. I think Morris shows some promise but he’s not the blocker Knox is, and Sweeney….I had hopes for him at one time but that time is gone, that’s all I’ll say. Yeah I didn’t think you could do that, but the Zebras thought it good so
  14. I think it may have been the 20 yd completion on the Bills final drive that got Knox. He was upended ass-over-teakettle pretty good.
  15. One of the media guys seems to feel it was during the goal-line stand at the end of the game. He commented "Edmunds went down like a blown tire, leaving so and so open" I think it may have been the 3rd-and-4 play. So he got up and finished the series, then the D didn't see the field again. Edit: I think Edmunds is limping slightly as he runs on the final play.
  16. They cut one of (Emili, Brewer) to replace him with Zimmer, a guy who fought his way into the regular rotation on the 53 man roster last season. But I agree with you - someone had film of Oliver working out with the head trainer before the Baltimore game, which means they thought he was a game time decision last Sunday. "Game time decision" one week usually means "good to go" by the following week, barring setbacks. I think Big Ed comes back. But the other addition was a DB, which could mean they're concerned about Poyer.
  17. It did. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FeaJB4EXgAAhcE4?format=png&name=medium
  18. With a similar fractured hand/surgery, Knox missed 3 weeks (2 games). So the guess that Benford will be out this week is good. Next week, might depend on who they have available, they might feel they could put a brace on it and pad it and he could play OK. After all, some practice regimes make the DBs put on oven mitts.... I think you're probably right that Edmunds and Knox will be out this week. 2 weeks would kind of be typical for a hammie though so they might be out vs KC as well. Those who feel our Pterodactyl MLB is a JAG and can be replaced by anyone, may get their chance. TE troubles me because the thought of Sweeney and Morris trying to hold that down...*shudder* Gabe has been playing, and there's no report of a setback that would cause him to not play. He seems to be "playing his way through it". I agree McKenzie looks positioned to clear concussion protocol. You don't mention Kumerow, but I wouldn't expect to see him back with a high ankle sprain until 4 weeks have gone by, which means not until after the bye. I think we may see Big Ed play this week. It's been 4 weeks as of today, which would be a reasonable timeline for a grade I or II high ankle sprain given the very best treatment and rehab, and he was apparently a "game day decision" last week. Jordan Phillips has been out 2 weeks, which is kinda typical for a hammie, but it'll depend on how they think he is. I think we'll see Tre start to practice next week but not return to play until after the bye. The player I am most concerned about is Poyer. Two DNPs this week, No Bueno. Oh and BYE the way, CBS claims IR is 4 GAMES not 4 WEEKS. So the answer to why not IR Kumerow etc might be that we expect him back in less than 4 GAMES, given the bye week.
  19. That Austin thing is just kinda weird. He's still listed on the team's practice squad.
  20. Would you say...he "looks good in shorts?" They do, but McDermott made the point that the Bills are getting short of bodies for a normal practice. So it would seem to their advantage to IR Crowder if he's gonna be out indefinitely, elevate someone off practice squad, and sign a healthy guy to the PS for practice?
  21. Fair question. I seem to recall him having one beautiful deep sideline catch in one of our first 2 games, but I can't find it; the Titans maybe? I think it's because he's short and has arms proportional to size; he's relatively easy to jam and out-physical during the legal contact yards, and that negates his speed advantage. So they have to do something to give him a release, and even then, a closing safety can out-arm him.
  22. I would interpret McKenzie as participating in catching drills as "Stage 4" of the return to participation. So if they do neurocognitive and balance testing and he passes today, then he needs exam by the UNC and he's cleared for takeoff
  23. Benford has the club/cast/wrap off his hand Milano is mad as hell he doesn't have 3 picks yet, and he's gonna work them into existence: Ed looking good on the sled. Zim too:
  24. More Gabe Davis for your Davis Hoofwatchers:
