  1. So you still won't throw the checkdown, right?
  2. I actually think Harris should be kept out a bit to heal/strengthen. RBs by the nature of the position go head first into a scrum of guys every carry.
  3. It's a nit, but he missed week 3 (the Miami Heatstroke game) Came back week 4. Bye week was 7
  4. One. He missed one week, somehow. Played in 15 games.
  5. All of those QB are going to remember that. Don't think for a minute that Mahomes, Prescott, and Hurts aren't keeping their receipts. And the bottom line is.....Coach Saleh, with 3 of those QB including Mac Jones, your team LOST.
  6. Did McDermott or anyone say if Kincaid is actually out of concussion protocol yet? I know he could be in protocol on Friday and theoretically cleared right before the game.... FWIW, Jackson missed one (1) game last year.
  7. Whew. OK.
  8. https://www.nfl.com/news/jets-earn-first-ever-win-eagles-jalen-hurts-latest-qb-embarrassed Could just be me, but when your team is 2-3, I'm not sure it's time to be talking about "embarrassing all of" the opposing QB
  9. They do not get to keep a playbook, but a lot of football players seem to have phenomenal memories which I'm sure they carry over into their coaching days, and of course you can't take away a man's personal notes. Well, if we hadn't missed 2 makeable FG, we would have scored 20
  10. Agree with you that the Tre, Milano, and D. Jones losses are huge. Rousseau is said to be playing with a broken bone in his foot (per @HappyDays source). Von Miller is getting a lot of face time with the press, but not contributing on the field. Dane Jackson out with a foot injury. So our CB were Christian Benford and a guy who didn't have a game-day jersey 2 weeks ago. Bottom line is I had no idea what to expect from the defense, and they stood up. They delivered a performance that hopefully they can build on in coming weeks. Because you're right, they'll have to. Make no mistake - the Giants have not been a good football team this year, but they have 3 coaches who are intimately familiar with our offense and quite familiar with our defense as well. They are easily the equivalent of a divisional opponent who knows us well, and more. Disagree with you on Knox. He is a starting caliber TE. He is said to be playing in a brace, with a torn ligament and a broken bone in his hand. He hasbecome quite a good blocker - when he has two hands. I would have liked to see us continue to run 12 sets with Morris while Kincaid is out. I think Morris has shown flashes, and should get more looks. He runs receiver-worthy routes, and his blocking has improved. I'm afraid Davis *is* the 2nd best receiver on the team. Unfortunately. I'm not saying he's enough. The coaches see these guys in practice. Fans love to believe that the coaches like to sit more talented players because....they're playing Candy Crush during practice? They don't watch film? They're dumb? What I think is that Josh needs to see other guys than Diggs. Cook, for example. Sherfield could use some love when he's out there. And we're paying Harty for more use than he's getting Yes, of course they do. They have Chad Hall, and their ST coordinator is Heath Farwell.
  11. That sounds like a You problem.
  12. There were many comments over the years about how ultra-competitive Daboll is. There was (unsubstantiated) talk that there was enough friction between Daboll and McDermott that Daboll might have wanted to take a parallel move if he wasn't hired as a HC which would surely provide additional "juice" to an already ultra-competitive guy And, with last year's playoff team coming into the game 1-4 and looking, at times, undisciplined and unprepared, Daboll has been facing the criticism of the NY media, justly. He had his guys fired up and ready to rock -n- roll. Fortunately, they rocked but didn't roll us.
  13. I think that sums it up pretty well
  14. We have too many skill players "out of sorts" - the play gets to them, and they can't clinch the deal. If it's true Knox is playing with a torn ligament and a broken bone, in a brace, I don't want to dunk on him too much, but it's not good. Gabe Davis fumbling, etc. I am proud of our LB and Taron Johnson. They may be small, but they're fierce. When Taron tackles a guy, he knows he's been hit.
  15. A torn ligament (unless it's a minor tear) is typically very slow or non-healing without surgery. But this might explain his problems catching the ball.
  16. He shouldn't be. 2 missed FG when the score is 3-0 and 7-6, No Bueno.
  17. Then that's kind of on Dorsey for not introducing new concepts in 2 years and also, highlighting some novel concepts.
  18. I think, A Lot. Not just Daboll, but keep in mind they have Bobby Johnson who has some scoop on tendencies of players like Mitch Morse and Dion Dawkins, and Shea Tierney. And Daboll probably has a road map to Josh Allen's psyche. That may be an under-appreciated factor with the Jags too, given they have two former Bills coaches on staff.
  19. Well, I have a trifecta of disagreement. DaQuan Jones was the heart and soul of that DL. Miller, Rousseau and Floyd depend on pressure up the middle to do their thing. So losing Jones is huge. Settle was a big step down last season but he is in a contract year and motivated to earn one. Ford was misused as a 3T or edge last season and everyone seems to feel he's better as a NT or 1T. He wasn't on the bench cuz he sucks, he was on the bench because Jones was clearly better and Settle more versatile. It remains to be seen how Settle and Ford work out. Oliver and Philips both do their best work as 3TDT. Oliver can play 1T but it's a waste of his best skills. Bottom line, we don't know how good the front 4 without Jones will be The LB are "okay" - again, we don't know how much of Bernard's excellent performance to date was having Milano next to him. We don't know if/how McDermott et al will adjust Milano's role to one Williams, Dodson, or Klein can fill, and we don't know if Williams can play (didn't look too good last Sunday but everyone has a first time). Bottom line, we don't know how good the LB without Milano will be. The secondary is bad - Bills had a top-10 pass defense last season with Jackson and Benford playing as CB the majority of the season, and with Hamlin (a lesser player) in for Hyde and Poyer playing hurt. Bottom line, no secondary is good if you give the QB all week, but potentially they can hold up OK as they did last year.
  20. I don't think we're going to see Phillips as 3T playing next to Oliver as 1T. At least until they prove it doesn't work, we're going to see Oliver and Phillips playing next to Settle and Poona Ford.
  21. There is a reason that Daboll moved up to the booth after the 2019 New England game when Josh threw 3 INT (1 arguably not his fault) and Daboll was seen screaming at Josh on the sidelines. Just sayin' There is also a reason why Josh, Gabe, Morse, and I think a couple other guys opined that Dorsey should OC from the booth last year, and that McDermott made a club rule imposing a large fine on any coach who might incur an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. How about a Detroit Lions - Miami Dolphins Superbowl, with the Lions winning?
  22. So let me get this straight. Jets game: Offense stinks, don't see them figuring it out Raiders: oh, well, that was the Raiders Commanders: pushovers, good DL means nothing Miami before the game: Doomed! Miami after the game: Amazing! Unstoppable! Jags: Offense stinks, don't see them figuring it out.
  23. You do understand that part of making a deep reception, is to track the ball in the air and adjust? ? Last I looked, Anderson was backing up G and getting looks as 3rd string C. Germain Ifredi is the backup RT.
