I don't really pay attention to what KC fans think or say. My point was that Mahomes should have been flagged for the taunt (it was not just a point - he flexed at Branch, but you know this) - the NFL has specifically said that taunting was going to be a point of emphasis in 2025. So, what happened here? I'm done here - now back to the Mahomes Lovefest.

Do you honestly feel like these examples are the same as delivering a cheap shot to a player? Allen is a known trash-talker - his peers have stated as much. He was flagged for taunting the Bengals, BTW. I don't remember the Miami taunt.

I'm sure that Branch will be fined, at a minimum. Smith Shuster will be fined as well. However, I'd be surprised if Mahomes was reprimanded for his actions, despite the NFL proclaiming in the off-season that taunting would be a point of emphasis for the 2025 season.

It's just common sense that actions have repercussions.

Justified? No. But if I take a cheap shot at a player late in a game which has essentially been decided, I'm going to keep my head on a swivel, and not expect to get "dapped" up following the game by the guy I just cheap shotted a few minutes earlier. But nobody has accused Smith Shuster of having any self-awareness. I'm not aware of Mahomes punching anyone (maybe in part because he knows he might get punched back?) while in the NFL. He comes off as a petulant whiner - its; easy to be graceful in victory, and the Chiefs have won a lot since he's been in the league.

Mind you, this was late in the game as well, and nowhere near the point of attack or ball carrier.

maybe this is why Branch was pissed off? Mahomes certainly handles losses (like the Toney "Offside" game) well and maturely.

good thread here: the hold on the Mahomes run immediately preceded the 4th down TD pass to Worthy. So yeah, kind of a big missed call.

Right, I don't know what was said by any player during the game. But I did see Mahomes taunt Branch after his TD run....after the whistle. And I did see Smith-Schuster cheap shot Branch earlier in the game.

after 13 the week before. I guess they really cleaned up their game this past week....the Chiefs are a bastion of rule (and law) abiding, good citizenship. I believe 3x for the Chiefs with Mahomes.
