I have no idea how we kept that game close honestly…and to lose that many guys and still be able to lose a close game disappointingly is pretty impressive in its own right.

3rd and 22, 3-man rush. How do you allow a deep ball that wide open with 8 in coverage? That was the time to bring pressure. If your secondary is decimated, you don't give the opposing QB time to find the holes.
That was the play of the game in my view.
I’m arbitrarily choosing to blame the Matt Milano dropped pick six that hit him right in the mitts but there’s a lot to choose from

I think the expectations around Allen have gotten ridiculous. I'll agree this is his worst game since the regular season last year but he was also the only reason we were in it. Davis didn't look right, Diggs got cramped up and exhausted, McKenize and Knox had to get IVs at one point, Kumerow left the game early. Allen was getting beat up and running around all day in 100 degree weather with very little rest in between drives. He made several exceptional plays. We needed someone else on offense to make one.
Allen was working miracles with that supporting cast imo…I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt on that missed td late.

We beat ourselves the entire game. Josh fumble gifted them 7. Josh fumbled snap , which was supposed to be spike to clock, and the pass to Diggs at end of first half cost us a FG attempt. Gabe drops a TD(McD shoulda tried to challenge). Milano drops a pick 6. Defense gives up a 3 and 22.T Bass misses an easy FG.
Chances are all of those things do not all happen again. Dolphins got lucky. Can't wait till they come to our turf!
We would’ve lost that challenge and burned a very important timeout imo

I would not read into today at all but we are going to be very depleted against baltimore now which is my primary concern.

This article just about sums it up. The Phins should get nuked by the League for this.
Yea seeing as it came after smashing his head off the turf I find their ‘back injury’ explanation pretty suspicious. The doctor is independent though so idk how much an investigation could really determine….it’s not the dolphins fault if the doctor misdiagnosed him.

not sure how he can clear protocal after how he looked? That's the NFL for you - it would be like the NFL scheduling a team coming off a Monday night game to play in Miami in September. Player safety is not a consideration for the NFL
Maybe this is a stupid question but do we know he even went into concussion protocol? Dolphins were quick to say it was an earlier back injury

Hard, hard disagree.
Insanely hard disagree for me as well lol without a doubt missed some throws but out of 60+ attempts and running for your life all game that’s going to happen. Any other qb in the league is losing that game by 2+ scores

I mean he was one of the few ‘healthy’ players left lol

Wanted to see what the level of concern is for our Bills after the tough loss in Miami. Regardless of how you view Tua and the Dolphins, it seems likely that they will control 1st place in the AFC East for the foreseeable future.
I am as optimistic as any about about our chances this year; however, I think most would agree that reaching our ultimate Super Bowl goal this year will be impacted by our ability to secure the #1 seed in the AFC.
Miami's upcoming schedule:

With Miami now essentially having a 2 game lead with the tiebreaker, our injury situation, and difficult next 4 games, how confident are you in Buffalo regaining control in the AFC East (and competing in the home field race)?
I think today clearly demonstrated we are superior to the Dolphins, but sometimes the best team does not always prevail.
Thoughts? Go Bills!
They don’t technically have a 2 game lead yet I wouldn’t say because there’s still a rematch

I mean Josh started the game again 11-11.
End of the day, we destroyed the super bowl champs and top seed in the AFC offensively who both field elite DLs.
Yes Josh is part of that, but there is no one who can convince me our OL was an “issue” in those 2 games before injuries destroyed the OL today. I mean 5…5 guys were hurt in the OL today between starting and ending this game. And we still almost won.
It honestly went better than I thought given the injuries lol. The bad snaps cost us so many points though

Pat M only needed 13 seconds….Josh had over a minute.
Pat m had the best pass blocking offensive line in football…we had likely the worst after all those injuries

Some posters here were delusional about it. Let’s be realistic here poyer/Hyde are best duo in nfl…
Some of us may have said it before the oliver/poyer announcements haha missing your entire starting secondary but slot corner is gonna make a difference for sure…especially with some pass rushers out

Bills fans who said our defensive injuries wouldn't make a difference in this game were foolish.
We're seeing the proof now.To be fair I said that before I knew poyer and Oliver were out lol

Ok it is taking all there might against our decimated d I'm not worried
I don’t think they’re an offensive juggernaut but it’s certainly not taking all their might lol

Let them keep doing it!
We had them on that fumble play too im still salty about that…singletarys just gotta get in the way of a rusher and he couldn’t even do that

Miami is the most boom or bust defense I’ve ever seen…they must really think they can’t cover

100% this. We play really dumb football.
We had them with the right playcall on 3rd down and singletary blew the block.

How can professional coaches be this stupid
Looked like josh audibled to the right play and singletary just whiffed the block but I didn’t get a great look at it

Did moss whiff the block there? Or was that singletary? I didn’t see

Dolphins players have been talking about mcdaniel’s ‘cojones’ for weeks…4th and short on their side of the field and he punts
-
Didn’t he give himself up worst case? Even if he was untouched?
Tough loss

Depends on the injury report… our entire secondary being out is one thing but losing like 5 players on the offensive line today was just rude lol
