I'm enjoying watching other teams more than the Bills right now. So much less of a sense of dread and pressure. -

Bengals with a dirty hit on Tank Dell. Typical. -
Exactly. As they say, the Jimmie's and Joe's. It's actually amazing how consistent our offensive stats and Josh's stats are over the last three years. There is one element that I think has a lot of responsibility: coaching not in the sense of play design and play calling, but in the sense of instilling confidence and leading the ship, etc. We never win in overtime and we drop a lot of close games. And it's not because Josh isn't clutch. He's usually cool as a cucumber when we need a drive. So I put that more on situational coaching and leadership.

https://theathletic.com/5040500/2023/11/09/buffalo-bills-offense-defense-problems/ This was very surprising (to me at least). I guess I have selective memory of the high points of Daboll's time and not all the lulls and frustrations. However, the article does not really take into account the tailspin of the last five games or so on offense, where our points per game are way down and Josh looks less confident than normal. One other point about Daboll's time as OC: a lot of people here say 2021 was our year, we would have definitely one the Super Bowl if not for 13 seconds, etc., etc. Well, I remember the night before the Bills' first Super Bowl. We had just dropped 51 on the Raiders and 44 on the Dolphins in the playoffs. We were playing the Giants, who had somehow shocked the two-time defending champ 49ers in the NFC championship. We had beaten them in December already. I was so sure we were going to win I was already thinking about repeating next season. Also, remember which team that took out the Chiefs after 13 seconds: Burrow and the Bengals. I am not 100% sure we would have beaten them if we'd held on and beat the Chiefs. And then the Rams had a tough team as well. You never, never know. Ever.

I thought that theory was that it was from “beau fleuve” which means beautiful river. PS I’m gonna make loaded potato skins. Not sure if that’s native to Denver but feels like it could be. PPS I had a horse steak once too, in France. I didn’t think it was too bad, like a chewy steak. But I was a lot more adventurous at 25.

11/5/23 Week #9 SNF GAMEDAY Bills @ Bengals Pregame Thread

Time to shine… this is what you play for, games like this. Cincy is a gOOD team, no doubt, but if we get after Burrow, and keep running the ball, and Joshua Allen, the greatest point guard of a QB in the NFL, starts to wheel and deal, I think we can blow them out. LET’S GO BILLS As James Brown said, GET UP GET ON UP -
Now I’m not a professional OC but this is what I’d like to see the Bills try: Line up under center in heavy set, two tight ends (Kincaid and Knox/Morris) and Cook or Fournette at RB. One WR (Diggs). Option A: sneak Option B: lead or counter Option 😄 play action pass Also once the defense is set the play you can totally shift the formation and go three wide with Diggs and the two TEs. Then you run it wide or pass and the defense is trying to defend your spread with space eaters. Or once the defense is set, you bring a tight end (or Gilliam) in motion to the backfield as a fullback for the push play or a straight up power run. Point is, lining up under center with that personnel makes it much tougher to guess what we will do, because it keeps the sneak possibility alive, which the shotgun kills.

The Next Four Leading Into the Bye

I hope for 3-1 and expect that or 2-2. I just can’t believe we lost to the Jets and Pats. We should be 7-1, dang it!! It’s gonna be tight getting into the playoffs—10-7 with our conference losses probably won’t do it. -

Good chance that the Dolphins lose to Philly this weekend. So beat the Pats and we’re back leading the AFC East.

If We Lose to Tyrod Taylor I Will ....(fill in the blank)
Ray Stonada replied to ngbills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Feel depressed for two days, and good for Tyrod. However, I feel better having a slow start and working on finding ways to win rather than blazing out of the gate and running out of steam like last year. 20 games (or 19, for the one seeds) is a lot of football. We’ve played 20% of a Super Bowl season. We could be a game over .500 after 40% and it doesn’t mean we don’t get a Lombardi.
