The Bills were terrible in the first half. A(n) NFL game has two halves. I mean you could equally call out conservative coaching moves by the Bills in the first half, they of being conservative due to a team sucking it really hard.

Maybe he was exhausted. As a fan I was exhausted. But ultimately it is par for the course for this 2021 squad.

True, but to do so, our team also needed to show up in the first half. So you have the variable of officiating in the mix, and has been proven time and time again in the modern NFL, you cannot rely on consistent officiating. You've got to win ballgames, or you're *****.

Coaching is right, but remember that a game has two halves, and I think that we all saw the first half. In a league of parity, you need to play a full game and assume nothing until the game is over. The Pats, a team that I deeply despise, understand this. When will my favorite team understand this?

It was definitely PI/holding (will look again later when I'm less pissed), but again, you can't rely on terrible officiating to be consistent. You need to win handily, so when ***** like this hits the fan, you'll still win a ballgame.

Correct, and that's why you don't take the first half off. Understand the dynamic, play good football. It's insane that 2021 is kinda like that basketball that will bounce, but you know that it's under inflated -- and you can't find the pump and needle.

This game was a gut check, unfortunately, and the team needed to lay it all on the line. The first half was an abortion, and I'm being kind. The second half was neat, and I wondered why the first half wasn't like that. You play the game to win, and I would have a LOT more respect for the decision making and level of play in this game had they fallen short after a few ballsy moves rather than what was actually produced.

This walking boot is meant for walking, and I would be surprised if he doesn't show up next game. But who knows in 2021, right?

A game has two halves though. Don't rest your fate in the hands of known terrible officiating. And having written that, I remember many people saying "let them play" over various PI calls over the years.

If 1999 is your benchmark then you didn't live through the 1970s and most of the 1980s squads. THAT ***** was terrible, and the drought, except for its longevity, pales in comparison.

The only way to avoid the pitfalls of sucky NFL refereeing is to dominate your opponent. Our team did absolutely nothing in the first half of this game. McD can burst an artery over this for all I care, but when the team has done it's job then practically nobody talks about the refereeing that we all know is terrible.

While this was not directed at me, this team is not good enough. I'm glad that they finally showed up today. It mutes the sting of a loss a bit. But again they're not good enough, and it's really too late in the season to fix anything. It's possible that they go 10-7 and make the playoffs, which is great -- given how terrible our favorite team was for many years before this regime took over. But there's something wrong with this specific squad, and I don't find it probable that they will even make the SB this year. This team got pantsed in the first half of this game, and we all saw it. Who inspires the players to produce? Coaches. So, it's a quandary as to next steps, should 2021 fall outside of expectations. I think that there are coaching flaws abound and that's translating to the product that's on the field.

I bailed on GDT at the half, and just switched to stream. Ref complaints and all of that don't matter. The team didn't show up in the first half, and that was the differentiating factor. I remember a certain Bills loss in Foxborough in 1998 that kind of played out the same way, but then it was a "gimme" first down for the Pats (their player was clearly OOB) -- where they ended up marching down the field and winning. In that contest the Bills refused to show up for the extra point and departed from the field. Then they were forced to return and the Pats won. You can't rely on officials to do *****. You have to beat the other team handily, and leave nothing up to chance. And that's exactly what happened today. While I'm glad that the Bills showed up in this one eventually, and I still maintain my POV that they are going 10-7 and will get into the playoffs, this team isn't good enough to go the distance. That's massively disappointing, because I thought that after 3 years of growth that they were gonna do it. I'll say again; glad that Josh is running the show on O. Otherwise this team would be hot and steaming trash on the O side of the ball.

The running game on this team reminds me of the scene in the movie "Major League" where Wesley Snipes asks for "one of those bags" and when he is told that there are no stewardesses, he becomes concerned that there are no pilots. ***** me with this. My god. So bad, and so disappointing in 2021.
