  1. Hope the trend continues upward. We've waited far too long to have a good QB.
  2. I think Rob Johnson should be the starter, he's taller and has muscles.
  3. It's possible the % of people at the extremes is less than it has been in the past due to social awareness, however the extremes are louder than ever before.
  4. I think that is a "key to the game" for the Bills unfortunately. Otherwise, I think their team is just better.
  5. Heh, we're living at a time of manufactured outrage. I hope it ends soon.
  6. Do you really think he would get angry at that question? Maybe I am naive, but I don't think he would.
  7. I think Lorenzo Alexander would give a straight up answer, we just need to get Murph or Tasker to ask him the question!
  8. I guess I am not so sure, I would want to ask LB's and DB's if there is any validity to the theory, most of which would be players of color. I imagine you play the person not the ball, but at some point you have to know where the ball is?
  9. Me personally, I fear that the Bills defense is not equipped to stop the Ravens running attack. I also do not think the Bills offense will be able to score enough points against the Ravens defense to make this a game. Best wishes to the Bills coaches who are developing the game plans for this week is about all I can offer!
  10. Nah they're good, they have Christian McCaffrey.
  11. Hmm, I remember him saying "wait a minute" all too often. Is it a TD or not? WTH!
  12. It's not so much a race card issue as opposed to promoting diversity (some people will see them as the same thing however). We all know the QB position has been the one position on the field that has been "resisting" diversity for decades now. Bottom line, if we still have guys like Polian saying players like Lamar Jackson should be a WR instead of a QB, the push for diversity at the position will still be a "thing" in the media. Players should just be players regardless of skin color, but we are all smart enough to know that society is simply not there yet. Personally, I think Jackson is better right now. Long term, no idea.
  13. It's all about money. If the 49ers feel like they are taking too much heat on social media, and feel this issue could lose them money, yes, they might feel the need to terminate the employee. It sucks, but if I owned a company, I would be looking out for the bottom line as well.
  14. I'm not saying I agree with the media's portrayal, but I do understand why it is what it is. Anytime a QB of color is having success it's going to be a huge story, especially when dumbasses like Bill Polian say Lamar should be a receiver or whatever.
  15. Well, Ryan has a job to do, and his employers have the right to suspend him if they feel what he said was not what they want to promote. It's the same with Kaepernick. He certainly had the right to "speak" his mind, but his employers had a problem with the way he went about it on the football field in front of TV cameras, hence he's no longer in the league. Corporations rule over free speech, chances are if you sign a contract to work for any corporation, they rule your actions, even outside of work these days. If a corporation doesn't like what you say at a family party on private property in your own home that makes in on social media, you can be terminated. Corporations rule our lives, and money rules corporations.
  16. Well, I think some people would say even if there is a double standard you (as a white commentator) should realize that there is one, if you don't, you're "stupid" or have done something "stupid" by not realizing it.
  17. But Lamar is winning more, more TD's (overall), more rushing yards, he's a media darling, Allen is not.
  18. I don't know if what he did should be considered stupid, but I guess that is subjective.
  19. It's quite simple. Allen has to keep winning.
  20. I agree, but at the same time I also think it's sad that we all know what he said was not meant to be racist yet he still gets suspended. Our society is becoming very irrational. Or maybe it's not actual society, but corporate perception of society.
  21. His skin color is quite close to that of the ball, add in the uniform and what he said makes sense to me. But I also see why he was suspended.
  22. A lot of those fans are now older and not interested in sitting on cold assed benches.
