    14-0 hole from the defense, and the HC coach being forced to punt at the end of the first half because of the sucky defense is the full story.

    Cincy was such a class act about the entire situation with the cancelled game, that I don't understand any Bills fan rooting against them for the rest of the playoffs.

    I think this is the issue. How do you change the defense with McDermott as head coach. That is supposed to be his forte. McDermott takes no ownerhsip of the offense, and lets face it, he is not a top tier game day coach. So if he hires a DC with free reign, what is the purpose of McDermott being here.

    Totally throws off the competitive balance for the teams who are not in the playoff and changing coaching staffs. Ridiculous suggestion.

    They changed this not too many years back, because the coaches on the successful teams were being screwed out of opportunities. Don't see this changing. It is certainly not tampering.

    The last time an HC Combo won their first super bowl together after their fourth season together was John Madden and Kenny Stabler in the 70's. Anything is possible, some outcomes are more predictable than others.

    And yesterday was pretty good he led the offense to 34 points against a pretty good defense. And Shakir (drop 7) Knox (drop 4) and McDermott (not taking a field goal) left another 14 points on the field.
