  1. IF you make a change it has to be McDermott or Allen. Its a waste to have a revolvling door of OC's with a QB with Allen's talents. Maybe McDermott would be better with Brock Purdy and the other types of weapons the niners have. If you are keeping McDermott, trade Allen and stock up on other weapons on both sides of the Ball. If you keep, Allen, then get a coach he can potentially partner with for the rest of his career. This means an offensive specialty head coach.
  2. Should the team quit after a slow start? Teams need to close to win. We had a lead with 2 minutes to go and the leagues worst offensive 75 yards from the endzone. At that point, the rest of the game does not matter. Head coach can't B word "The offense has to leave my precious defense with a nine point lead when they are more than 12 seconds left in a game"
  3. Good summary of the game and season thus far.
  4. There is also lack of accountability. That is a separate thing from coach speak. Some coaches take responsibility.
  5. tua with lots of time in this pocket like thing
  6. 36 of the wins are against the Bills, the most of any team.
  7. The DC and the HC can't get aligned on strategy.
  8. post pictures. that will be interesting.
  9. The London Curse (NFL Long term experiment) - No team has ever won the super bowl the same season they played a game in London (games started in 2007). Another fun fact. No Patrick Mahomes team has played an NFL game in London.

  10. Point 1 ) I think some teams have more than 2 seriously good offensive weapons. Niners, Eagles, Dolphins, Ravens, Bengals. Chiefs before this season. Point 2) 31 teams won't win the super bowl. So yes, most don't have star weapons at every postion. Your post was ridiculous. KC has Mahomes and Kelce. Very similar to the Bills. Some people think Reid / Nagy is stronger than McDermott / Dorsey in coaching offense though. I think your familiarity with the Bills players compared to Bills rosters in the recent past colors your judgement. Other than Diggs, who do you think is top 16 at their position?
  11. KIncaid had a very good game today. If he continues at the pace, then he is a top 10 Tight End. Potential is not production. One game in seven at an above average production level does not put him their yet.
  12. Watching the Denver Bronco's defense close out the game against Green Bay, adds a level of futility to the Bills effort today, that I had not considered.
  13. Other than Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs, no Bills offensive player is in the top 16 at their position in the NFL. Doesn't mean they are bad, but this offense is still a team of JAGs. Watching other teams games makes this quite clear. This is going to make people feel bad, but his includes all of the following: Latavious Murray James Cook (Second year, eligible to improve) Dawson Knox Dalton Kindcaid (Rookie, eligible to improve) Harty Gabe Davis Sherfield Shakir Oline is middle of the pack too. When Josh Allen plays all-world its enough. If Josh Allen puts up numbers equal to the tenth best QB in the league that week, its not likely enough.
  14. You are wrong if you really believe not having Milano makes no difference in today's game.
  15. The injuries in the London game likely impacted today's game. There is a legit question if the NFL with the unequal travel time and temporary artificial surface created a situation where injuries were more likely than should be expected in an NFL game.
  16. Clearly, getting the defense a lead with 2 minutes to go is not adequate, so the strategy needs to be to get the defense a 9 point lead with 2 minutes left, or have the ball at the end of the game each week. This does not seem like a winning formula, but the "fail to shut the door" defense needs that kind of support.
  17. The offense had a rough day, but after 58 minutes had done they job adequately. The defense lost the game.
  18. A good defense would have closed out the game today. Regardless of how we got there. They had a lead with 2 minutes left and the other team 75 yards from the end zone. A bad defense lets the NFL's worst offense score in that situation. The Bills have a bad defense. Whatever the reasons/excuses the simple fact is this defense is bad.
  19. What has he learned?
  20. Most NFL teams would just forfeit rather than coach up the defense to compensate for this problem, against the worst offense in the NFL.
  21. At this point, if the Bills make the Championship game, McDermott should be voted comeback coach of the year.
  22. THE GOOD Josh Allen's ability to overcome a dreary game and put his team in the lead with 2 minutes left in the game. Dalton Kincaids play throughout the game. THE BAD Preparation. Sean McDermott has been the head coach for 6 years now. We still see too many games, where the Bills simply look unprepared. I am sure I am hyper sensitive to the Bills in this regard. But even when the Chiefs or Niners, or top historical teams lost, I don't recall many situation where I thought "these guys were not ready". NOTE THIS IS A VERBATIM REPEAT OF THE BAD FROM THE LONDON and GIANT GAME. The lack of preparation from the travel planning to three piss poor weeks of execution has made the entire Bills organization look amateurish. THE UGLY Offensive Game Plan Roller Coaster. Barely worth elaborating on. Dorsey's game plan was amatuer hour again today. So was the play calling Offensive execution. Bills online looked like it had five backups playing against the 85 bears at time. Head Coaching - Defense, Offense, Special teams all played poorly. The head coach is the common thread. He can babble all he wants about complimentary football and execution. But the buck stops with the head coach. (Alternative to head coach problems- Brandon Beane. The only alternative to the buck stopping with the head coach is that the roster sucks, and the Bills are miraculously playing over their heads due to coaching). Defensive coaching in clutch situations. Defense can't be relied on to close out a game. If the Bills do not have the ball a lead, or on defense with a nine point lead with two minutes remaining in game, there is no reason to expect the defense to close out the game. Thirteen seconds maybe the grand daddy of all of these failures, but McDermott's defense, like Fraiziers, can't be relied on to close out a game. IMPORTANT NOTE, THIS POINT IS A REPEAT FROM THE GIANTS GAME. After six sesons, i think it is fair to conclude that McDermott is not a closer. Special teams. Bad in all aspects. Not worth elaborating on.
  23. We only know one thing when McDermott speaks. Its not McDermott's fault.
  24. One of the Bills critical problem areas on both sides of the ball is predictability. By its very nature this problem gets worse with time. All of the evidence is that McDermott either does not know this is a problem, or he can't fix it.
  25. does anyone think mcdermott knows what he is doing in these tight late game situations defending a lead.
