  1. The team is returning 2 rushing TDs at the RB position. 2 Singletary is a nice piece between the 20s, but he’s not a guy who can get you tough yards or take on blitzing LBs in pass protection. Guys like that will always be over valued by the casual fan because they get inflated YPC stats. 2 yard TD runs don’t help YPC numbers, but they are extremely important to playing winning football.
  2. Josh Allen stats: 20 TDs, 3,089 yards Josh Allen stats subtracting John Brown’s catches: 14 TDs 2,029 yards Deshaun Watson stats: 26 TDs, 3,852 yards Deshaun Watson stats subtracting Hopkins’s catches: 19 TDs, 2,687 yards
  3. Minshew threw for more yards, more TDs, fewer INTs, completed a higher % of his passes, and had more yards per carry rushing despite only starting 12 games. He had a hell of a season and has 3 years left on a contract that pays him $700k a year. Because that’s literally what GMs do.
  4. Dak is replaceable? He just threw for 10 more TDs and nearly 2000 yards more than Allen while completing over 65% of his passes and runs just as well as Josh. He also never gets hurt.
  5. Because Watson has been categorically better at everything, and they’re about the same age. It’s not a swipe at Allen to say that Watson is an elite young QB. Everyone hopes that Allen can someday have a season with 4,000 yards passing, 68% completions with 26 TDs and 10 INTs while still putting up the same numbers rushing. Watson has been that each of the past 2 seasons. If he takes another step forward, you’re looking at 30+ TDs and 4500 yards passing. Watson is probably the second player taken if you were to have an expansion draft involving every player in the NFL.
  6. His salary for this season is $9,000,000. He’s not worth $16,000,000, but he was owed 7 if he was cut.
  7. He’s played in 3 different systems/ on 3 different teams in the past 4 seasons and battled injuries. In the process, he’s still put up a pretty solid resume if you look at it objectively. Consider the fact that he’s still only 26, and I’m inclined to think Andy Reid may not be an idiot for bringing him back to his Super Bowl winning team.
  8. Not sure you want to use playoff winning percentage and injury history to argue for Josh. https://sportsinjurypredictor.com/player/josh-allen/9962 https://sportsinjurypredictor.com/player/deshaun-watson/7744
  9. Using the fact that the Bills made the playoffs in 2017 to prove any point ever is ridiculous. That was a bad football team. They were outscored by 57 points on the season. The offense scored 274 points...17 PPG. The previous season, they scored 100 more points and had a point differential of +21 on the season. There was an enormous drop off.
  10. Nobody feared Alex Smith, either. He won a ton of games when he finally had some talent around him, though. Miami is a trash organization where a game manager QB isn’t enough because the roster and coaching are always inferior. Tennessee has a pretty good roster and pretty good coaching, so he turned them into a pretty good team. Wife is def overrated.
  11. Tannehill is one of the most underrated QBs ever. That isn’t to say he’s great, but most people seem to think he sucks. He’s never sucked. If you put him in a good position, he can do some things. He’s diet Alex Smith.
  12. There is a LOT of buzz that DW wants out of Houston. Watson already is what everyone hopes Allen will someday become. Given the choice, you pay whatever it takes to get Watson and see what you can get in trade for Allen. I can’t imagine there is a GM in the league (Beane possibly excluded) who would prefer Allen at $30,000,000 over Watson at $40,000,000.
  13. John Brown and Duke Williams were the leading WRs against the Texans. They combined to catch 8 passes on 18 targets for 99 yards and no scores. A week later against the same team, Sammy had only 2 targets but caught both of them for 76 yards. The Chiefs offense was much better with him on the field during the regular season than when he was out, and then he took his game to the next level in the postseason. People here love to hate him, but there aren’t a lot of 26 year olds with over 4000 receiving yards and over 30 TDs in the regular season plus those kind of postseason performances.
  14. One game? In his two seasons with the Chiefs, he’s played 5 postseason games. 6 catches for 62 yards 4 catches for 114 yards 2 catches for 76 yards 7 catches for 114 yards 5 catches for 98 yards 2 years, 5 games, 34 targets, 24 catches, 464 yards, 1 ring
  15. Watkins is a great fit in KC’s offense. He’s typically up against the other team’s #1 Corner. With Hill on the other side, teams generally provide Safety help. Kelce then becomes a huge mismatch because LBs can’t cover him. When Watkins is out, Kelce’s production goes way down. Sammy can block, get YAC, and he doesn’t complain about not getting enough targets. Oh yeah, he also had a 70 yard TD to ice the AFCCG and torched Sherman on the go-ahead drive in the Super Bowl. Every 2019 offensive starter from KC is now returning.
  16. So where do you think the 800 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs Buffalo returns should rank?
  17. Nothing is going to destroy the legacy of a guy who has coached 9 Super Bowls and won 6 of them. Brady was terrible the first time they won. He’s proven that he can win 11 games with a backup QB, and Vegas still thinks New England will win the AFCE. His legacy is just fine.
  18. It would be like if Pat Mahomes retired during this offseason. Smith didn’t have the body of work, but nobody ever did it better entering the league. Aldon was on an entirely different level than any pass rusher in the NFL three years before he even got to his prime. He had 33.5 sacks before the age of 24. Reggie White had 0 career sacks before the age of 24. Bruce’s two highest sack seasons combined were 34.
  19. Any team would be cool.
  20. That guy was putting up historic numbers at the start of his career. He didn’t start a game as a rookie, and he had 14 sacks. He had 19.5 sacks his second season. He might be the best pass rusher in history. That’s not hyperbole. He just couldn’t get out of his own way.
  21. Why is Vegas always so dumb? I don’t understand how they stay in business.
  22. Why would it be lower quality football? More teams in the playoffs means fewer games featuring teams eliminated from the playoffs, and only having one bye in each conference means fewer games with teams resting starters. Unless you’re a fan of watching teams tank, there is no downside.
  23. Sadly, that would be safer than any major city in the US.
  24. If it weren’t for the neutral site games, the discussion would have been 18 games.
  25. The whole point of the 17 game season is so that every team can have 8 home games and 1 neural site game.
