The Chiefs had something like 245 yards rushing. I give the Bills credit for holding them to 26 points which is good against that team but I never really thought they could win the game despite the close score with 6 minutes. The Bills had a chance to make a key stop and give the ball back to the offense down 6 but couldn't do it. Whenever the Bills play a physical team they seem to get dominated on both sides of the ball. That needs to change for them to become a serious Super Bowl contender. I do think the Bills are a good team but they need to fix their flaws (lines both sides of the ball) to take that next step.

Uniform watch Week 7 - ❄️ icy ❄️ #BUF vs NYJ
Greg S replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. Probably the all white throwbacks. They usually wear those at home once a year. I am surprised they are doing it late the year. The Bills usually wear white early in the year when its hot then switch to blue or red late in the year when its cold. As long as they win the game that is all that matters. -

The Bills are probably somewhere in the middle from the first four games and the last two. Fans (myself included) tend to get overly excited when things are going really well (4-0 start) and then gloom and doom when they aren't (last 2 games). The Bills are a good team but they are not on the level of the Chiefs, Titans, Steelers, and Ravens yet.

Three Most Likely Outcomes For The Next 4 Game Stretch
Greg S replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To me the next two games are the ones that put the Bills in the driver seat for the division. Beat the Jets and Pats and that makes them 6-2, 4-0 for an overall and division record. As for the Hawks and Cards. I hope for a split. Seattle's D isn't that good but Russell Wilson is one of the best QB's in the game who can torch our defense. The Cards are a good team but they like the Bills are subject to having a bad game. Didn't they lose to Detroit at home this year? I will say 3-1 IF THEY GET THE PATS GAME otherwise 2-2. -
We will find out about the Steelers this week. If the Bills game becomes a blowout I will probably switch over to the Steelers-Titans game. 5-0 vs 5-0 is a must see game. I wish this was a 4:25 start instead of 1:00.

Well they did beat LA and they are a solid contender in the NFC but your point is well taken. This team needs to show up against the AFC's top contenders (Chiefs, Titans, Steelers, Ravens) and so far they are 0 for 2. We will see what happens when they play Pitt later in the season.

Its better than looking like Boise State. -
Coming off two losses in a row I doubt the Bills overlook anyone.

#17 may be low but not by much. If the Bills stuck with all whites( current and throwback) blue over white, and white over blue then they are top 10 easily. But when you factor in the POS looking all blues and all reds then the #17 ranking is around where they should be. -

I just hope Terry and Kim don't get involved in the football decisions. -
What is the worst loss a good Bills teams has had?

Losing the Super Bowl by one point on a missed FG in the final seconds. I can't see any loss worse than that. -

20-19 was the worst and most painful loss. AINEC. -

The Giants game and the 2nd Dallas game were way more painful. The Bills should have beaten the Giants as they were the better team. The 2nd one against Dallas the Bills were leading at half. So when Dallas came back it was more disappointment. The one against the Redskins and the first Dallas game were easy to get over. It sucked losing the SB but the Bills just flat out got their asses kicked that it wasn't as painful as the other two SB games. -
WFT sticking with WFT next season

I agree with you about Red Tails. Similar to Redskins and they can keep the same colors. WFT is just dumb. -

Thurman was on fire that game. Would have been the MVP if they won. I wish they would have gotten the ball in Thurman's hands more. I bet the Bills would have won if they did. -

What about the 1979 opener against Miami. Buffalo lost 9-7 but missed a FG that would have ended the streak. -
Can we stop the complaining? it is what it is!
Greg S replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think they will win the division. These next two weeks they can really help themselves. Possibly 6-2 and 4-0 in the division if things go well. But when the off-season comes Beane needs to improve the lines on both sides of the ball. It seems like when the Bills play physical teams they get pushed around and that needs to stop if they want to become a Super Bowl contender. -
1984 Cowboys vs Bills. Ask Dallas fans about that game.

On the flip side of this thread is one of the most surprising wins in Bills history was in 1984. 14-3 over Dallas. The Bills should win this week. I don't think they will be looking ahead to NE but 1984 Bills vs Cowboys is proof anything can happen. -
Looking at future points spreads the Chiefs are a 21 point favorite over the Jets as of now. https://nypost.com/2020/10/20/jets-are-massive-three-touchdown-underdogs-vs-chiefs-in-week-8/

Trevor Lawrence Advised to Avoid Jets
Greg S replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He won't avoid the Jets as they will throw big $$$$$$ at him. They are a disaster but if you can win in NY you are consider a NY legend forever. Namath, Manning, Jeter, Messier to name a few. He will have a new coach so he won't have to deal with Gase. Joe Douglas has done a good job acquiring picks. Its obvious this is a total rebuild and he has four 1st round picks( I think) in the next two drafts to work with. They can get good pretty fast if JD does well in the upcoming drafts. Despite the fact the Jets/Giants play in East Rutherford, NJ they are still considered NYC football teams. -
Why? The Bills are a 1st place team. Win on Sunday gives them a season sweep over the Jets and a 3-0 division record. It also gives them a 5-2 record heading into what will be the biggest regular season game in OP in a long time vs the evil empire. Win that and its 6-2, 4-0 in the division. I just hope ( I don't think they are) they aren't looking ahead to NE. They shouldn't coming off two losses so they need to handle business this week against the Jets. Today's Daily News shows the Bills as a 13 point favorite. Vegas money must be coming in heavy on the Bills.
