  1. It wasn’t meaningfully better except for the career days for like 3 receivers, way more yards per play, way more yards per pass, way better on third down, more first downs. Got it.
  2. ALL THIS PROVES IS THAT EPA SUCKS AS A CATCH ALL STAT. ALL THIS PROVES IS THAT AARON QUINN IS AN EPA NERD
  3. I was just waiting for someone, anyone, to realize I was just snipping your OP for all my responses. Some folks like @NewEra thought I had changed my ways
  4. I’m sorry, but I cannot agree. This defense deserves a huge benefit of the doubt when it comes to managing and coaching talent. Boogie Basham was a solid rotational piece, a bust JAG, but still, not the worst player in the league. He’s nothing in NY. Guys like EJ Gaines and Levi Wallace have looked serviceable here. Rotational piece vets like Hyde and Poyer have turned into All-Pros. Tre White was like CB5 in his draft and was arguably the best of them pre-injury. Benford and Jackson were late round fliers that look serviceable. Milano and Bernard were day 2/3 picks that have contributed at a high level. If there is one player on this team that I am the most certain probably just completely sucks and it’s no one else’s fault, it’s Kaiir.
  5. "But it's a fan message board. That's what we do." Ok. You be you. I'll continue to look at what is going right, share my opinions in an upbeat way, and show some faith in the players and coaches to work on what they need to work on. This can still be a very special season; the league is wide open.
  6. Milano, Jones, Tre, Von are 4/5 of our highest paid defenders by cap hit this year. Von is trying to return coming off major injury and the rest of them have season ending injuries. It's no surprise lol.
  7. Marv also used to say “go out and have fun partying before the Super Bowl guys!” so maybe let’s not listen to Marv anymore.
  8. Man it’s almost like 4 of their best players are hurt
  9. There’s a large correlation between a lack of stars on defense and our inability to close out games on defense. It’s not that we are chokers. It’s that our defense is full of average NFL talent.
  10. 100% there's still plenty of room to go. I still think the offense was significantly better than it has been for the last 3 weeks. If they continue to improve, that's good. If they level off at last night, we are still gonna be 1 and done.
  11. Is everything perfect? Of course not! But it never is, and crucifying Dorsey on October 27-- 4 weeks after he was called brilliant for his gameplan vs. Miami -- is the perfect lens through which to view Bills fans. "But it's a fan message board. That's what we do." Ok. You be you. I'll continue to look at what is going right, share my opinions in an upbeat way, and show some faith in the players and coaches to work on what they need to work on. This can still be a very special season; the league is wide open.
  12. Nobody ever won the Super Bowl in October, and history is replete with scads of teams that looked "unbeatable" at this juncture and didn't lift the Lombardi.
  13. I just don't know what to make of this board and our fans these days. To the uninformed observer, if you just looked at the threads on the first page you'd assume this was a bottom-feeding squad.
  14. Are people really upset with our 5-3 Bills?
  15. Daboll let Josh run when spread out, which was basically back-breaking for defenses. If they spied, it was single coverage and bbq chicken. If they didn’t, Josh could look and pull it down if nothing was there. Leave it to Kenny to call the same plays with a fundamental misunderstanding of why it worked lmao
  16. The offense got the first down to end the game. Good teams are allowed to get up two scores and play defense and field position. Bad teams don’t score all game and desperately try to come back. I’ll let you guess who was who the last couple of weeks.
  17. Did you think the offense we ran last week had a high margin for error? We had 10 points for 55 minutes. I of all people completely understand that Dorsey’s plan in the red zone is “run a bad play, then Josh figure something out.” Which is bad. But they ain’t firing Dorsey now, so we may as well rely on Superman and win some games. More like the difference ignoring every single stat makes. Bills were better on third down, had more first downs, had almost 100 more yards, and had 1 less point because we took our foot off the gas up two scores. ”It was one point less than last week” just misses the entire forest for the trees
  18. Oh no doubt Dorsey is still Dorsey. I will take fast starts over desperate finishes all day everyday.
  19. Because it took Knox being put on IR to see it? It’s not a negative at all (except for the Knox injury part). I just think the offense is better in 11 and I think tonight showed that. Shakir basically gobbled up all of Knox’s snaps tonight. That’s kind of the point.
  20. It’s not even close. Our offense was way better this week than last week. Way more yards per play, way more first downs, way better conversion rate etc etc etc. McD always preaches complementary football. Complementary football means getting up 2 scores so your banged up defense has some breathing room. Offense did that today.
  21. Benford and Bernard both made a couple of huge plays.
  22. Certainly, but the counterpoint would be that if Josh can release it as fast as he was tonight, he’s gonna neutralize a lot of DL’s.
  23. Agreed. I’m not sure what the reason is, I haven’t broken it down enough. it was kind of a good idea in principle. League is getting smaller and faster and try to play on that. We just either don’t have the horses, the coaches, or even the QB for that type O. Either way, it’s on the shelf for a while.
  24. That’s why I said Dorsey is still Dorsey. We didn’t see the Bills put up 10 points through 55 minutes tonight. That’s an improvement.
  25. Getting off to a better start is hugely important lol, did you watch the last 3 weeks?
