Do you think that Daboll doesn’t know that we don’t have the players to run the ball? Of course he does.
I'm genuinely not sure about that, I think he really believes in our guys to figure it out. Why else is he calling Zack Moss runs up the middle when he has no vision? Why the Devin Singletary 2nd and 10 up the gut for the 100th time even though it's worked maybe once this season?
Blame Beane all you want, and he does share some of the blame here for drafting who he drafted, but Daboll calls the plays. It's up to him to figure out ways to be successful in both the passing and run game, and I don't see him trying different things. He's failed pretty hard at the run and I'd argue Josh Allen has propped him up in the pas.

He will be forced to replace his entire staff to save his job, and he will.
He needs to be “hands off” when it comes to scheme and draft picks and bring in a quality DC and OC. The schemes can’t stay another year.
You say that like it's a bad thing. Poor staff should be removed from the organization. If you're saying that Daboll is somehow going to be a scapegoat and the problem lies actually with McD then I just don't see the evidence there.
The defensive scheme is mostly fine. We got beat up in the run, sure, but it only resulted in 14 points. Could they have done more? Yeah, probably. Did they do enough to put the offense in positions to win the game? Absolutely.
The team absolutely didn't execute, and they should play better, but the calls from Daboll are so bad. We wasted so many downs trying to establish a run with uninspired, boring, runs up the middle that haven't worked a thousand times over this season. That's on Daboll.

McD hasn't don't enough to warrant even really thinking about letting him go. He needs to improve in game management but that can be said about a lot of coaches in the NFL. Since he mainly handles the defense I suppose you could blame him for the lack in D-Line performance, but even then that unit is mostly "okay".
Daboll on the other hand has had an absolutely putrid season. He's hilariously predictable and he calls some of the worst red zone calls I've ever seen. He should go today, but I can understand if the organization waits until the end of the season

Get used to it…. It’s McDs philosophy with the defensive line. He likes a 9 man rotation.
I'm okay with a rotation, but since it's a rotation if somebody out there is stinking up the filed with poor play (Like how Addison was atrocious Sunday) then bench their ass and let the high draft capital have a shot and building some rhythm. The unrelenting loyalty to players who aren't playing well comes off like arrogance.

I don't think McDermott, Frazier and Daboll are good at in-game adjustments.
Seems like they cook up a game plan and don't deviate from it.
Good coaches at least go in at halftime to cook up alternative plans to compensate for getting out played. Our coaches don't seem to do that very well, if at all.
They're horrible at it. I don't know if they're just stubborn, arrogant, or have too much faith but there are some games where the strategy they came in with is obviously isn't working and they just stick with it. It's beyond frustrating.
They do the same things with players. I call it the "Peterman problem". They are stupidly loyal and faithful to their guys. It's why Brieda can't see the field even though he's been highly effective whenever he can get a touch. No, we gotta trot out Zack "0 yard gain" Moss.
There's no reason Addison should be getting as many snaps as he is, and frankly the same goes with Hughes (although he didn't get a ton of game time Sunday). Addison was making huge mistakes Sunday, and teams know exactly who he is. We invested all of these high picks in the D-Line and our first and second rounders are seeing what? 30% of the snaps. It's unacceptable.

Jake Fromm deserves a mention. A complete wasted pick.
You can't write him off yet but I'm skeptical of Tommy Doyle. Trey Smith was on the board and I thought he made a hell of a lot more sense if you're taking a flyer on a guy.
Cody Ford. Pretty obvious choice there.
I'm done with Moss. The only thing he can apparently do is pass block. I'd like to have a running back who can run.

Feels like it's that time again. Remember at some point in each of the last 2 seasons McDermott started calling plays and digging in more on D. I can see that happening for Pats game with 10 days rest.
If that's true then I have a lot more issue with McD this season. If he isn't digging in with the defense, what is he doing? He's said multiple times that he lets Daboll run the offense without a whole lot of input.
-
After today's performance I'm expecting a loss. Another fantastic RB, what are they gonna change to shut him down? I hope they get the gameplan right, because this coaching staff hasn't shown the ability to adjust on the fly.
-
I predict they'll end up maybe 10-7. I think it's going to be a tough stretch unless there's some shake ups in the way we approach practice. Something's gotta give here.

Based on McDermott's "respect their decision" quote after the game I'm guessing both were unvaccinated so Brown will be out against the Saints too.
It's amazing how many players are choosing the selfish option after watching their teammate Dion Dawkins say publicly that there were times he wasn't sure he was going to make it during his bout with COVID.
And before anyone jumps down my throat: I believe it's the selfish choice, not that they should not have a choice.

Make Moss inactive. I know he's a good pass blocker, maybe even a great one, but he's been a bad running back.

The Steelers game was a wakeup call.
The Titans game was a wakeup call,
The Jax game was a wakeup call... we here this after every loss this season. Wakeup call, learning experience, blah blah blah

Certainly a team in WC contention for the rest of the season unless some things go horribly wrong. Outside chance at taking the AFC East title again, but I don't know if I see a world where we beat the Patriots twice.

Not getting enough from AJE, Greg and Boogie.
There's no real anchor player up front. We have no star player. Maybe Rousseau or Boogie or AJ can develop into one, but there's no guy on the field showing them how to get it done.

I think McDermott just confirmed that Brown and Star aren’t vaxxed. He was asked about both and said “I respect those guys’ decisions … etc” Just bring it up so we can not waste time looking for brown’s status to change for Thursday
The Bills probably have one of the lowest vaccination rates in the NFL. Say what you will about personal decisions and all that but it puts us at a competitive disadvantage regardless.

I’d rather them try to go back to 2019 here. Last year was just a perfect storm. It’s not sustainable. We never paid for throwing so much. No crowd noise, everything broke right for us. This offense is figured out. Go back to the under center play action. Stop putting it all on josh. Give that 2019 offense Diggs and Knox and a much better Josh Allen and that team kills this one. Forget last year. Bring it back to 19 and stop with this constant spread
Yeah, it looked great against the Jets, but Daboll seems to keep backsliding into that shotgun look. I don't really get it, and I can't say it would be better with someone else, but there are enough red flags that I'm about ready to see somebody else run the offense.

Still cannot fathom how we let Wentz run for 25 yards on 3rd and 10 when three Bills made contact with him.
Shades of the Houston playoff games where two players knock into Watson and it somehow keeps him upright.

I’m not sure that it’s terrible, but it badly needs a better space eating defensive tackle. The players that they have been rolling out beside Ed this season just haven’t cut it in the running game. Someone needs to take up two blockers and push that line back. Perhaps the biggest issue is that Beane hasn’t addressed that
It's definitely not terrible, it just gets inflated because it spanks bad teams. In reality they're maybe middle of the road, the secondary is so soft against good teams it just becomes frustrating to watch.

Wanna hear my most vicious brutal hot take?
Tre White is overrated.
McD and Fraiser's defense is just overrated. The whole thing falls apart when you face a guy like Henry, or Taylor. The "bend don't break" approach doesn't work when you get broke up front whenever they want.
-
Carr just throwing the ball up to no one over and over. What has gotten into this guy?
-
Mahomes is gonna get a lot of praise but that throw was a prayer. Just because it works doesn't mean it was right.

It feels like Mahomes is more interested in doing weird, goofy throws instead of playing sound football. This season he's been making downright bizarre throws.

Russell Wilsons return has been greatly exaggerated. Not that they aren’t better with him. They are just a bad team.
Wilson always comes out super hot at the beginning of the season and tapers off midway through.

Klein played as well as Edmunds ever has today. He may not defend the deep middle as well as Edmunds but Klein does everything else well. This regime will not sit Edmunds because they drafted him, but there was no drop off in play today.
Felt like he was used a lot differently even though playing the same position. Klein was pushing into the backfield a lot.

One of the big things I'm seeing in this game is Jefferson getting fed despite having the added pressure of Thielen being out.
All I can think is "Why can't Daboll do this for Diggs anymore?"
