After seeing this week's game I think I'm about done with Moss and ready to see him be inactive again. I realize he's coming off an injury and all that but it just seemed apparent how much better the vision is for Singletary, and Brieda brings a much different look to the RB core.
Having Spencer Brown back is huge, the dude is a physical monster. It's too early to call it a home run signing, but he looks SO promising.
Knox is a fantastic TE1 option.
Mixing McKenzie and Davis into the lineups is definitely a good thing. More creative looks like this Daboll PLEASE.
All in all great win, even if it's against an inferior opponent.

I think this is the OP's point. You can't get YAC if Allen holds the ball too long then finally decides on the short route. It leaves the reciever with nothing left to do other than being tackled immediately after the catch.
If the short game is in the game plan, it has to be executed with anticipation and quick throws or there will be no YAC. Allen finally deciding to throw short after 7 seconds is not a short game plan...
Watch Mac Jones on how to propetly execute a short game plan.
I don't think it's an Allen problem frankly. It's a Daboll problem.

I see what looks like a LB and a CB ready to bear down on him. Doesn't look like a easy walk in TD like you're describing. Maybe he gets in, I can't really say but it's not as definitive as you're making it out to be.
That being said you're on an absolute tirade, you're quoting and replying to yourself, so I think it might be time to take a breather.

He's a 7th round flyer. It's amazing he even was able to stick around on a roster.

Dude he doesn't take the QUICK underneath
He holds the ball 5 secs first.
He Has to be more decesive on underneath routes. It's so plain to see!
Refer to above tweet
I think that's an exaggeration but let's not pretend that Daboll's scheme is designed around getting the ball out quickly.

No.
He actually did take the underneath stuff today and there was minimal yac
This is a really good point that's lost in the shuffle. Our guys get basically no YAC, with Diggs being the exception. It's frustrating to see Beasley never break a tackle.

There isn't a team in the NFL with quality O-Line depth, but the Bills' depth at O-Line is horrendous.

Agreed. So where’s the option for the offensive line up there?
Well I didn't make the poll, but I do think of the two for this particular loss more of the blame is on McD. He should have benched Ford and put in Bates. Just do something, anything, because obviously your 250 million dollar QB is getting his booty smacked around left and right.

Beane has done very little to improve this roster, after adding one difference maker in Diggs what move has he made? Like why draft Basham and not a guard or center? Morse was another guy he overpaid, so when he has money he seems to overpay and blows it.
I'm not a huge fan of drafting DE-DE but of all his decisions that one is pretty excusable if the prevailing thought about Rousseau is that he's a raw prospect who isn't expected to start. I still think it was a mistake but the thought process isn't ridiculous

Lol. I love how it’s just one or the other’s fault. No mention of the “MVP-level” QB who looked like he lost his marbles out there today. Gotta be the coach or the GM! Pathetic.
Pretty easy to lose your marbles when you're taking huge hits every play and you don't trust the players around you, but sure.

I mean I guess between the two it's on McD. Ford should have been benched at some point. Really I think it's a player execution issue for sure.

Feliciano lost a bunch of weight and he's never looked worse as a player, I don't know but that could be part of it.

The defense gave up 9 points today. Come on this loss was on the offense.
I'm not implying it isn't, but the fact that our D-Line doesn't really get sacks is kind of a head scratcher.
The O-Line is obviously the biggest issue moving forward, as it's limiting the whole offense. I just want to see a more dominating front from the D-Line, they definitely move people off their mark but they need to get home more.

I’m going to get criticized for this but I don’t care.
Our d-line sucks at collapsing the pocket and getting pressure. Groot is decent against the run but he’s invisible at actually getting pressure off the edge. He gets coverage sacks and that’s really it.
Epenesa had a great preseason and was unblockable. Well, that’s because he was going against our o-line. He’s another guy who is largely invisible every week.
We used a 2nd round pick on Boogie just for him to be a healthy scratch almost every week. Not that I think he’s going to be a great lad rusher either but it just goes to the point that it’s a poor use of resources.
Our offense needs a complete makeover. Our RBs are just guys. The interior of offensive line needs a complete overhaul. Two of our top 3 WRs are on the wrong side of 30 with one of them only here on a 1 year deal.
It’s a copy cat league and teams are seeing that all it takes is to just send 4 rushers and play 2 high safeties to essentially eliminate every big and explosive play.
I don't understand the lack of D-Line pressure no matter who we play. It's almost like it's a scheme or coaching issue, we have this huge rotation of players but Addison still plays 60% of snaps.

Dawkins and Williams aren’t who they were last season.
Dawkins at least has a plausible excuse with the really rough time he had with COVID. Williams has just looked bad, and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for it. He doesn't even look like he's mentally ready for the game. -
I think one of the reasons this loss is hitting the fanbase (me included) so hard is because Bills fans are so tired looking dumb in the national media. Frankly this loss has given everyone tons of ammo to just write us off. As an out of market fan it's hard, people laugh at Buffalo when I tell them it's actually a pretty great place.

This happens for bottom feeders, not contenders.
If we were talking about our skill positions I'd agree with you, but we've got to do something about our guard play. If everyone can get healthy again so we have Brown and kick Williams inside we can probably limp through the season, but holy god it was bad today. I never want to see that line combo again.

I believe he was signed by The Saints a few weeks back.
Unless I'm wrong he's on their PS so we could sign him to our active roster.

I'd try and sign Forest Lamp, you have to think at this point it's unlikely that Ford sees the field again in any capacity

Cody Ford makes me miss Vlad Ducasse. Yes…he’s that bad.
Which is crazy to think about. Ford has never been good, but this season and this game he's been incredibly bad. Why is he regressing so badly?

You don’t need an effective run game to run play action. That has been proven over and over and over again.
You need time for play action to develop. A fake handoff doesn't work when the interior pressure has already beaten their blocks.

I don't think the sky is falling yet, but this game was worrying for sure.
If we lose to the Jets then I'll start picketing to burn the whole thing down.

Brady
Mahomes
Willson
Murray
Allen
would be fine behind this line. Why should I not call out my QB for a bad game? And put it all on the OL?
the OL has been an issue all season. Steelers and This game Josh couldn’t rise to the occasion. That is fine. But it also doesn’t mean he is free from any criticism ever.
Brady? You're entitled to your opinion but this is a crazy take.
Josh shares some of the blame for this game but how can you expect a team to win where the offensive line play was so incredibly poor that tackles aren't even coming out of stance until the defender have blown past them?

Just now, MAJBobby said:
If he needs a perfectly built team around him he isn’t the QB I think he is. I do agree with the OL particularly the interior OL.
Sorry but what QB do you think would look better behind that offensive line? Because I seriously think anyone would have looked as bad or worse.

Felt like he was used a lot differently even though playing the same position. Klein was pushing into the backfield a lot.
