OLINE Pass Pro / Qb Unforced Error Review - week 4 9/29/24 Ravens
Simon replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I thought he was doing it well before the 3rd qrtr. It was clear he didn't trust his OLine throughout much of the game. -
I was talking about on passing downs. And he was executing a coaching directive by working a contain role for almost the entire first half. The Bills staff didn't adjust until almost the end of the second quarter.

Baltimore did what they do please take a moment and understand this
Simon replied to MikePJ76's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fwiw, I saw McGovern down holding his head and said so several plays before they even took him off the field. It wasn't some imaginary event, he was stunned with both hands on his helmet and it genuinely looked like he was concussed well before the spotters pulled him. -
I like the story that Johnny Cash used to tell about Kristofferson stealing a helicopter (he was actually a chopper pilot in the Army) flying it to Cash's house with a demo to make him listen to it, then landing in his yard and getting out with a beer in his hand. Kristofferson said it's only partly true. He only "borrowed" the helicopter (from the Army, who didn't know ) and he didn't have a beer in his hand because it's too hard to fly a chopper one-handed (coming from a guy who had already been grounded for flying drunk ). I cannot imagine what the post-show room would have been like with him, Cash, Willie and Waylon when they were playing together.

My understanding is that the head honchos at ESPN didn't respect the show for some reason and were always wanting to put it on the chopping block. One year they told Berman and Co that the show was going to be cut in half timewise and the Primetime crew all agreed they couldn't do it that way. They were at an impasse and nobody took control over negotiations and ESPN just ended up cancelling it, much to the chagrin of Berman, Jackson, their producer and everybody involved who knew they had something genuinely great on their hands. Just an absolute travesty of empty suits destroying a high quality creation that was loved by everybody.

I'd love for us to trade for Amari Cooper

I know we all have different furniture but that is not at all what it looked like from my couch. -
I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

Re-opened for good discussion if any of y'all are still interested. Hint: good does not mean "cut/fire everybody because I'm mad and don't understand what's happening!" -
You realize he spent most of the night in a spy/contain role making sure Jackson couldn't hurt us with his feet? And that the majority of the Ravens success in the run game came on the edges. You want to complain about him being invisible (to you), talk to the coaches who assigned him that role.

So far WR group looks like a dumpster fire

Did you say that Shakir was definitely wide open and that Brady was a genius because of it? You certainly did not. And I don't believe anybody else did either. -

So you can't because it's entirely made up. Can you show us the dozens of post game threads? Making stuff up to complain about is weak sauce. -

Can you show us where you read that? -
Gawd that makes me miss Berman, Jackson and their whole production crew. They were sooooo good

I've yapped enough about it in multiple threads. Time to shut up an put the mic down before it gets too annoying. Yup, that was DOA -
I was bitching about this all night. He doesn't track teh ball well downfield but tongiht was tailor made for him with swings/flares and Brady blew it (and Josh also ignored it at times.)

Correct on all counts Joe Brady's yard may be burning as we speak

I had the sound down and didn't hear anything, but there was one replay from behind the offense where you could "sort of" see Coleman and it looked like the two DBs he was splitting were both possibly flat-footed. It was difficult to get any depth on the view from that angle though. -
I thought DaQuan had a pretty solid game. On board with everything else.
-
I also regretted it quickly

If he turns to secure that ball instead of getting greedy and trying to turn it into 6, he makes that play 9/10 times. Yeah, I think he was coming free there too and that was the only reason Josh exposed himself to a bad hit because he saw a potential TD there. The All22 will tell teh tale. -
Possibly Shakir as well. reports are that he left the locker room in a boot Tell me if you're serious and I will delete it
-
They ran the same D against Josh Allen as Gardner Minshew? I'm a bit doubtful.
-
It's a garbage article with zero breakdown, regurgitation of stats and possibly AI generated. A total waste of everybody's time that I was tempted to delete and had no business being a thread starter. I'm putting it here where less people will feel tempted to be suckerd in by it.

I won't give them grief for the limited shots downfield; it would have been playing into the teeth of the Raven's D, imo.
