  1. So sorry but who the f* are you to presume we don’t care about this? I live 4 miles away I know people affected by this shooting. With all due respect, ***** off.
  2. from a journalistic pov there was no need for it, but you’re co-opting a far-left term to make a joke, so okay I guess. All this talk is just distraction from the facts the actual AP report relayed, regardless of capitalization. And yet this is what you glom onto. Says a lot.
  3. right so whenever one of these things happen everyone should “STFU”, disengage their brain, flip into mourning mode and shoot out those thoughts and prayers. Clearly that’s been working so far as a preventive measure. thank you for stating the f*ing obvious that this is (yet another) tragedy and that of course we all should (and are) mourning the victims of this.
  4. hey, I agree with all of this. There’s a lot of blame to go around beyond this F’d up kid. Whether or not any of those people see any kind of reckoning, well, we’ll see.
  5. well, he was at least a potential danger in the recent past if he made comments about shooting up his HS graduation, if that reporting is accurate. I’ve no issue with anything you said regarding NY gun regulation, but it should be noted that this kid lived a few miles from the PA border and it’s been reported (I will try to find a link) that at least one of his rifles was purchased there. Another was a gift from ma and pa.
  6. Sounds like you have a beef with the authors of their style guide then more than anything else. Doesn’t change the actual content of the reporting, as you already said was “probably” true. Fwiw, I’ve noticed the change too and don’t understand it at all.
  7. Weren’t there rumblings and rumors that this guy was eyeing a run in politics after his career ended?
  8. I assume Geary is tweeting in anger here since there’s no such crime as “grooming” a terrorist in NY. But there are concepts like criminal negligence that could be expanded to cover monstrosities like this and his parents, at least when the perpetrator is still a minor. Again, not the case here (barely) but I kinda get where he’s coming from. Everyone’s pissed; I know I am.
  9. if you have a strong stomach you can find out why he chose his target in his “manifesto.” He chose the 14208 zip code specifically because it had the highest concentration of black people he could reasonably drive to. His motivations could not be clearer. He can burn.
  10. Bud when I said it was “low” I meant it’s a dirty, scummy thing to do, not low as in minor. I agree with you.
  11. Lol no. Just an especially horny fan.
  12. Gee I didn’t know crime was limited to those three actions. And check your definition of “clickbait” - he was in fact arrested. There’s nothing false or misleading about reporting that fact. Relatively minor on the spectrum of crime, but taking a baby’s car seat is low.
  13. lol. So which team are you really a fan of? I’m guessing Jets.
  14. agreed. Probably incriminating conversations/pictures on the victim’s phone so he took it/smashed it/whatever.
  15. can’t really say how I found out but I have no reason to doubt the info.
  16. my PSL will be $10K per seat. Those are unfortunately looking pretty accurate based on what I heard today.
  17. I think I was mailed magnets or something like that. I would not expect anything substantial like the old ticket booklets and extras.
  18. Aikman was boring. Hated all the guys on the pregame show. Obnoxious graphics/presentation.
  19. nice. i needed another reason to never watch Fox!
  20. i mean, I wouldn’t call his success “mixed” across college and pros. Yes, he failed in carolina as an OC; that won’t be his job here. He’s looked pretty impressive otherwise. Maybe that was a result of circumstances, especially at LSU, but let’s wait and see.
  21. Standards at the Ringer have dropped precipitously I see.
