What was the adjustment in your eyes?

Entering the year the entire conversation around McDermott revolved around the playoffs. We had the Offside in KC, Shakir catch in SD, turnover fest vs NE, and a punt return TD against Miami. Sure we had plenty of plays go against us earlier in the year, but this is what has happened during our winning streak and as a result people want to assign McD credit to the extent that many have already determined this season was a success. If we drop out in the divisional round in the weakest year the AFC has had since Josh has been around I can’t view this year as a success. This was never about the regular season. McD has never had regular season issues. He has had postseason issues. That is where we need to see things change and some of you don’t and that’s fine, it’s just crazy to me how cocky the fan base has gotten with McD being the “right guy” when we haven’t even played a playoff game this year. We say in one hand Allen is among the top 3 and many take offense if you don’t give him the #1 nod but we can’t win an AFC championship. I hope it changes but I can’t make sense out of why people think it already has.

It’s funny because we have been largely a finesse team and weather has not been an advantage. We actually have a run game now, we will see if that changes. I don’t know how the weather helps us though.

Naaa, McD is nothing like Peterson. He has consistently has his teams interested in winning a division and battling those ups and downs in the process. That is probably what he has done better than anything else. Where he has struggled is in big moments and big games in the playoffs which is the opposite of Peterson. That seems to be where Peterson tends to do the most damage.

Really a miserable outcome. Beat the Bills tonight and have to play them in 7 days again. Not easy to do if you haven't struggled to beat a team. Can't really imagine how daunting that must feel given the injuries and history vs the Bills. Not really feeling bad for them.

I would say the %’s in high leverage QB sneaks for Buffalo on 4th down or game on the line are horrific. Cowboys fumble and the other two I mentioned. We are .500 at best in that spot over several years. I don’t disagree with a QB sneak. But it was Gardner Minshew not Josh Allen. Plenty could go wrong. It’s not a gimmie for most teams. They had an easy first down and possible TD if they don’t execute like crap. Wasn’t a bad call.
