  1. What do we really know about Clowney? Perhaps he arrives here and likes what he sees. He would probably integrate well with this core and be a great fit. This would be one heck of a defense. Yes, his sack numbers are low, but he is good in pursuit and excellent against the run.
  2. Look who's here...interesting. Well maybe the second time around will work. I try not to believe in coincidences!
  3. Yeah...thats why if the Bills were after him, they would have to be confident that they can retain him. I just don't see a rental. If they were to acquire him, it would have to be that they are confident in his ability to be a major contributor to what they are building and that he buys in to it.
  4. The Bills wouldn't want him as a rental. If they are after him, he would be another piece of the build. The Texans may not want as much as we think.
  5. No...I expect you to die Mr. Bond! ?
  6. My old man would have beat me with a rusty pipe If I did that!
  7. Yes thank you. Good post. This forum reaffirms my belief that Bills fans are the best, and the most informed. I live in Chicago Land now, but DaBills still has a better ring to it.
  8. Right for the family jewels!
  9. So true. Accountablity to others, being selfless...placing an urgency on your own life as well as others.
  10. Me too! Now we can witness what the Bills staff may have to agonize over if Wade does it again!
  11. Not really losers. Beane and McDermott are far from that. It is a brand that they are selling by appealing to your sensibility. A timeless and researched approach to reach a particular fan base.
  12. That is probably it. The process approach. It is easy to sit here and project what we think he will do or how he will respond to a regular season game. We all want to see the Bills win. After that run the other day, and if I were a coach, I would be counting the hours to see Wade play again.
  13. Yeah he was. Remember Neville Brand? He was good too...crusty edgy guy.
  14. Had a crusty lush way about him! Like he had a ready bottle of bourbon on hand!
  15. It may seem like a potentially risky move, but if Wade continues to prove himself...may the best man win!
  16. Yeah it is. I like the rebuild, but this area still needs attention!
  17. If Wade continues on like this and proves that he can endure an entire game, then the Bills may have to roll the dice.
  18. Could happen. This is also an early sign of DE in 2020 draft.
  19. The Bills were winning with Flutie and that is what mattered. I tried to suspend my individual opinions of players and formulas...whatever the Bills were doing it was working.
  20. I never liked it. Also, right after the Kelly era, some fans were willing to believe anything! I knew that both Johnson and Flutie were not the long term answer...so the search for a franchise qb would begin!
  21. I never liked Johnson. The Bills signed him to a big contract based on a few good performances. Sure Flutie p..... some people off, but quite often he could back it up and win football games.
  22. Exactly and some of the fan base were ripe to believe in something at the time. Flutie timed his arrival perfectly.
  23. Historically, I was never a big Flutie fan myself. When he arrived at TBD, I was a little skeptical. It was the aftermath of the Jim Kelly era and my thoughts were, Doug Flutie? What are the Bills doing? Is this some publicity stunt? What can he possibly do? Then when he helped rally the Bills from an 0-3 start to the 1998 season, I suppose he captured the imagination of the fan base and it took off!
  24. I liked Flutie at the time. In 1998 the Bills started 0-3 and I believe they rallied to 5-3. He was at the forefront it seemed and Jim Kelly had been gone two years. I am really not concerned with it anymore!
